I reckon Donald duke will pile on the debt!

No a bad choice though

Seems like we are struggling to name FOUR CREDIBLE/CAPABLE individuals in nigeria

I am not completely familiar with Nigerian constitution, and I know there is always a disparity between theory and practice.

However, as far as I know federal law supersedes state law. Is this not a breach of the fundamental right to freedom of association in the first instance?   Secondly is this ruling binding on Christian schools as well as Federal schools?

Where does it all end if you are in the north, segregated universities and compulsory hijab and Arabic/Islamic studies are now a possibility?

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing,"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." Edmund Burke, Thoughts on the Cause of Present Discontents, 1770.

Will someone in government speak up there is a complacent silence which implies consent.

I was surprise when I clicked on the link myself.

Used to live on the same street with the dude way back in Nigeria. Back then he was famously known as "Ladi the African Tiger"  and I remember watching him take on the likes of Michael Hayes, Ox Baker and some other professional wrestlers from the USA at the stadium in Ilorin.

I don't see why this is front page news. Besides, that picture is many years old. Those girls must be grown by now.

Arent a lot of northern schools segregated anyway? Its nothing new.

I mean, its not like one never heard anything of the kind before.

just my opinion sha. I did not go to a mixed high school, so I don't really see it as a big deal. Neither do I live in the north.

Dont know why it has to be state policy, but like the nudity bill, it shows some of the leadership are idle and clueless about priorities. What they need to focus on is how to improve the standard of education. If they're ignoring that, then they need to be reminded.
We have to keep up the scare tactics wink

I really wonder how this affect Chukwu from Nnewi or Iya Basira from oshodi is what
I am not too sure about, seems like we're fixated by these people from the north!

you are not in anyway saying pupils from single sex school perform worse than pupils from mixed schools are you?

na wa wetin tribalism/racism no go cause sef! all in the name of showing up the northerners, seemingly educated people making very weird comments!

An Hausa/Fulani can definitely not be bearing OLUSOLA, BUKOLA or GBEMISOLA. All those statements are merely political, as Politicians do.
True, its all a game really, the yoruba states definately wont see ilorin as another tribe and the hausa states wont either so they winning on both sides!

1, Saraki
2, Tinubu
3, Kalu
Kalu like most people from his region have little or no support/influence outside this home state to be honest

Tinubu might just have a bit more spread across the country

in fact most politicians in nigeria are local champions!

Benue,Ilroin and Kogi are somewhat like neutral sates-not really with any major tribe perhaps that's why Saraki appear to be having more influence

Career › Re: About Sap? by DisGuy: 3:16pm On Aug 28, 2008
capuchi:
kiwi992 which country do you think is cheaper and good for learning sap mm or sap pm.
Also amongst the two which one do u think is demanded the most?
And can u specify a sap academy that you know that sends their trainees to work on sap sites to have hands on job experience after passing the exam?
Thanks
I think it should be the other way round people!! Let YOUR COMPANY INVEST IN YOU!! STOP WASTING YOUR OWN MONEY!
with SAP the best thing is the company sending you out to learn it so it is specific to their need, there's no point doing a module that is not really relevant to the company you work for!!

I do not know if the employers are the ones obsessed with certificates or employees
After you first degree, all other certificates or training should be the subsidised by your employer!
to me that's the ideal situation! that way you are studying a relevant course specific you your career
all these ican, acca,PMP,cibn blah blah might not be relevant especially if you are not employed!!
Career › Re: I Got A Job Without Pay Package. by DisGuy: 2:44pm On Aug 25, 2008
Will they give you feeding and transport allowance?
I think you should call the oga and ask if they will be kind enough to give you transport and lunch alowance

How far is the place from your location?
Considering it is a top ad agency (is it? seems everyone put top this, biggest that on every coy nowadays!)
it should be very good on your CV and if it in line with your career goal you will gain alot from it!

I did something similar, the company didnt pay me but the university did great for fresh grads if the conditions are right wink

Politics › Re: Politics Vs. Olympics by DisGuy: 2:29pm On Aug 25, 2008
whats all these about looking to blame one particular region of the country, we are always looking elsewhere for blame aren't we?

its a Nigeria thing, parents dont like their kids playing in the dirt or running about- it seen as being unserious!
not until you become popular or wealthy anyway!

parents like to be called the mother of that Doctor/Engineer/Lawyer and all those big-money/Status professions!
we are status obsessed!

And yea like every other aspect of our country we have incompetent administrators!!!

what im saying is that, some years ago when he was broke and needed some money to revive ait,he was crying for people to help him out ,seeing as some people are on here saying he should be the people's defender and not do any business with corrupt politicians, it was in that context that i made the comment, the moral of my comment is that if people want him reject money from corrupt politicians then they should show alternative means ait will make money not castigating the man and making false accusations,
same way similar companies make money elsewhere!! you think Sky will an advert for the BNP? shioo

to Tinapa ? A minister toured the place and promised the president is given the project top priority.

That was months ago, we haven't heard anything since undecided
which minister visited the place?
what has HE/SHE done ever since?
What has the state governor/LG/Senators/reps representing the place done ever since
You don't expect the law to change with the click of a finger do you?
the senator/reps particularly should be pushing this at the house or assembly
