He use to have a great fact revealing talk show on a.i.t,Patitos's gang.
nah that show was just for people to vent nothing really concrete, i use to hate and still hate the way
they quote 'the great american leader' or any other great this or that in all their sentence

they can't do without quoting this person or that person to make their point
and the one-to-one interview was as watery as it could get! whatever happened to real tough questions!

MP007:
One does not have to be a smoker to get lung cancer. There is what is called second-hand smoke i.e. anyone near a smoker is susceptible to the disease just as the smoker. There is also industrial polution in Nigeria and the air around Lagos is bad with smug hanging in the air 24/7. It's even a surprise that there are not many more cases of lung cancer and asthma or other related diseases. To infer that Gani's illness is man-made or the FG should investigate same is ridiculous.
there might actually be many cases of cancer and disease related to smoke/pollution
but considering the fact that Gani himself and many more people are constantly misdiagnosed
in the country; the disease goes untreated or patience gets treated for something else entirely
Education › Re: To All Jambites: How Was Your UME Exams? by DisGuy: 9:09pm On May 17, 2008
hmm the minister of education and his whole entourage went round some centres
this guy is really educated, how exactly do you go into an examination room with about 30 other people
with television crew!!! shocked

the guy was even granting an interview inside the hall?

why do they try everything possible to make exams hard in nigeria
if they are not starting exams at 7am they are making students take three to four exams in a day!
apparently students are not allowed to use calculators, i wonder why the didn't just make calculators available
to the students
Politics › Re: Why I Didnt Punish D Bribe-seking Policemen Who Nearly Locked Me Up.ig Of Police by DisGuy: 7:37pm On May 17, 2008
At this point, Abubakar’s patience ran out. He tapped the collar of the ASP’s shirt, and calmly told him that he (ASP) would lose his uniform that very day. That was when the ASP looked more closely and realised he had been talking to the Commissioner of Police. Without asking any question, the ASP escaped through the window, followed by sergeant. The message was not lost on the remaining policemen at the station who all voted with their feet, leaving the station unmanned.

Calmly, Abubakar picked his impounded car key from the table on which it was kept, and drove off.

A few minutes later, the news of the trauma Abubakar was made to go through by the policemen had got to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the station. He rushed back to the station and locked up the culprits. But when the news of the DPO’s action got to Abubakar, he ordered their release.
this is not leading by example! why didn't he charge them to court or dismiss them??
Another thing I notice with the nigeria police; every year they pardon some officers that have been dismissed for (gross) misconduct.

He said, “The support I got from the state governor was enormous. He placed so much emphasis on security matters. It may interest you to know that the governor said he would give us four helicopters. You know that the price of one helicopter is much. Yet he had promised us four, which we are awaiting for.
these guys just want toys to play with, helicopter cant be effective in the real parts of Lagos they way it is now, perhaps it will be more useful on the highway between abekuta, lagos and ibadan

He said, his local company in Calabar was fond of getting request from workers for loan to solve one family problem or the other. He recounted a particular experience, where one of the workers had applied for a small loan to do the naming ceremony of his third child. That when the company refused, he had to mobilise his Nigerian supervisor to come and beg on his behalf because he doesn’t want his wife family members to put him to shame that he had no money to name his child. He said at other times, people asked for loan to either bury a relation or for one ceremony or the other. He felt that, if they were more sensible and inventive, they could borrow, put that borrowed funds together amongst at least four people and start a small wood fabrication

Kobojunkie:
Well, if the only thing you were actually doing was just signing your petition and going out there with your placard, I would not be bothered. But if you keep coming back in here with your pity party to claim you are right and everyone who is not on the same side as you are you is evil and Anti-Nigeria, then I ask that you at least be sure to allow those who do not hold to the same, be allowed to post responses to counter your claim. The Law has to be upheld in all cases, regardless of who is involved or color of skin. The man confronted police. Instead of jumping blindly with the same Nigerians style Jaguda justice we see all over Nigeria to this day, learn how things work in the civilized world and try to deal with things the civilized way, is that too much to ask??
how do you get people to sign a petition without spreading the word! if you don't want to read it please move on to the next one! you are the one bothering yourself!
nobody is asking for your oyinbo ass kissing sympathy! the guy himself didn't even mention the racism you keep bleeping about
I wonder how you uphold the law of the last person that died after being tortured on the flight from Spain
the people protesting the Olympic touch on the street of Europe how many of them were detained in prison
and charged with terrorism or is that really a civilised way to protest?

i am not a Nigerian, neither living in the UK but after reading some thread her, it seems to be that the British people seems to be walking all over the Nigerians living in the UK. The funny thing is, the Nigerians do nothing about it but sit and make a topic about it. WHATS UP WITH THAT??

they treat ya ll bad at the airport and kill ya ll in the streets of england but ya ll sit back and do nothinghuh

i think its time for the Nigerians in the UK to come together, boycott and stand up against the white people. unless ya ll will be taking advantage upon. Do the Have a supreme court in the UK?? if not why not take the case there like they do here in America.

what ya ll thinkhuh

im still trying to work out how one can provide top notch customer service, really classy environment that is affordable

i know this is possible but it is difficult
there must be a reason why those existing already
charge exorbitant price, trust me if you want to make profit
and maintain your high end clientèle you will have to go that way too!
the best option will be to compromise, stick with high end clients
who will pay more and probably fizzle out later or compromise
for more customers-target those that can wont mind saving for a week or two
for a treat, senior staffs, students, and so on and offer moderate services(tehre are some services
that will be used once in a year-get rid of it!)

rent and labour might be cheap but in nigeria there are so many unforeseen expenses
popping up here and there

Typical, instead of actually looking to solve this and build a better relationship with this flyer, you feel jumping from one to another is the best solution?? Well, way to fight the good fight for yourself and those around you. You should get the award then.
solve what? when you have choices? people switch service providers, insurance companies, phone and electricity providers why cant they change their flyer?

i'm still trying to understand why people who are not boycotting are so bothered?
people are choosing to vote with their little kobo kobo why are you bothered?
it is a matter of choice!! mr omotafe and the deportee are not begging anyone to boycott

^^ u beat me to it

anyway, I think you can also make money organising weekenders to tourist destinations around the country
Especially during the weekends, Easter or summer breaks; i got this idea from a leaflet in the student union offering 3 day breaks in Finland or some other European country where skiing is the main ting

You can hire a coach
book well in advance to get discount
Offer swimming lessons or skydiving lessons yea rite

Ghana
Togo
Benin
Obudu ranch
Abeokuta
sherry hills*
mambilla plateau
Yankari and many many place

I'm very sure most people would love to visit these places they talk about but never see
Just make sure you get everything covered transportation, accommodation and stick to the timetable
people have to get to class the next monday! wink
Travel › Re: Rip-offs At Nigerian Airports by DisGuy(mod): 4:08am On May 14, 2008
Wednesday 30th April.-- An unusual crowd of travellers outside Abuja to combine Thursday's public holiday with Friday and the weekend. Airport touts were having a field day. You have to part with b/w 18-20k for a 16k ticket. Aero Contractors jerked up their tickets from 17-19 k. all flights were declared fully booked, if u are not ready t pay through the touts. 9the touts are actually airline staff) and they conduct their nefarious activities with some tacit approval from their employers. Vowed never to pay a kobo to any tout and has to pass another night in Abuja.

3. Sunday 11th May----- Almost late for my 10:35 am Virgin Atlantic flight to London due to the early morning heavy rains, but thank goodness I made it. At the last checkpoint in the MMIA before reaching the departure gates, An NDLEA official by name ADEBAYO, fully aware we are about to miss our flight, seized our passports ( I and two other guys) and told us to "put our heads together" if we don't want to miss our flight. We ranted about extortion, our rights, etal, all to no avail. one of us even offered him N 1k which he refused saying we should have forex on us. It took the special grace of God to make that flight because that guy took us to a searching room, and for all I know he could have planted drugs on us and accused us of being peddlers had we insisted on not playing to his tunes.
start gathering evidence with your camera phone- that way they wont be able to deny it

Considering I am from the same Nigeria, I do not believe for one minute that the money is locked with the government. When we have thousands of local investors in the same country and many people looking for what to invest their money into. We have millions of Nigerians outside of Nigerians with money to invest. I believe the problem remains that instead of exploring other possible ideas, we continue to hope too much in a government and system that continues to fail us.
It is !

Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima, the immediate past governor of Zamfara State is also a farmer. In this interview with Daily Trust, Yarima said the over 150,000 chicken in his poultry farm produce about 2,000 crates of eggs daily that fetch him over [i]N500,000 a day

theres money to be made in agriculture
Not the best example but i hope you get the point

Good idea, you want ideas or mainly advantages and disadvantage of your idea?
Advantage
you will make good money of you get it right
you will feel good about your business if you get it right
(I'm sure you have a passion for kids or studied something along the line, child psychology?)
You will be recommended to many many parents around PH

Disadvantages
if you get it wrong you waste loads of money and
become frustrated

Location Location Location that's the very first think of
there are so many care centre nowadays but if you get one close to
business districts e.g where many bank staffs, office workers and mainly
white collar employees, that way the wont have to take a de-tour when going to work
plus they tend to stick with the 'rules'
make sure you workers share your passion not just doing it for the money
and the setting should be comparable to anywhere in the world!
goodluck!

lamidebaby:
1. The perpetual financial crisis bedevilling the menfolk especially with a mindset of needin to "arrive" before embarkin on the marital trip.
2. free sex everywhere . If they can get it free and without much hassles, why invite a lifetime "yoke" in the name of marriage? I believe if there were no available sexual outlet for the men, and marriage was a necessary prerequisite for gettin it on, there'd be a lot more marriages than we can handle. . . . . . meaning far less over-30 singles.

just ma thoughts.
the society wedding wont pay for itself you know wink
plus most of you want a 'gainfully' employed godly man don't you?
what does gainfully employed mean anyway?

Our Nigerian society looks at women over 30 and are not yet married as getting expired. Although it's a wrong notion about expiry dates and most women in that age range has been fighting that stereotype supposedly from men but do we really need to blame men for that stereotype?

If our mothers, grandmothers and aunts are the ones that always tell our brothers who wants to marry an over 30 woman to look elsewhere for something younger and more 'fruitful', why blame the men for that stereotype?. Most of us women here will even do the same to our siblings who come home with women in that age range but you can hardly hear that our fathers, grandfathers, uncles etc discouraged their sons, nephews and grandsons from marrying a woman of their choice.

After reading the premise to this argument, do you still believe that men should be blamed for stereotyping women over 30 or should we cormfortably blame the stereotype on us and leave men the hell alone?
based on this women are to blame!
I think it's about time women stop giving a damn about what they say!
let our society do what it does best-talk and poke nose!
