I mean sanctions are good and all but it's no longer as effective as it used to be; in these days of high internet access there's just so much you can do to stifle a country's economy.

Besides, there's a religious aspect to the issue of Iran, there are groups, states and individuals who deem it a religious obligation to ensure that Iran not only survives these crushing sanctions but thrive and even surpass its enemies.

Another issue is that of the power struggle between super states, you won't stop an imperialistic China from gaining access to cheap oil from Iran; the Chinese obey no law if the objective advances the interest of China.

If the Iranian Government succeeds in keeping the peace within its population, its only option now is to hasten the development of a Nuke; once they are successful then sanctions become mute.

The West on the other hand is a faltering giant, feminism, perversion, atheism and luxury has weakened their will to fight a sustained war.

The West will have to face the threat of Iran head on, Trump was on the right track, but now that de-escalation has set in, the option is to enforce rigorous sanctions, decimate Iran's cyber capabilities, sow the seeds of discord, propaganda and poverty in Iran to destabilize the Country, seek and destroy covert organizations that support Iran and NEVER let Iran set off a Nuke.

You are talking of China, what of the US that have the best economy in the world. What about countries like Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, UAE that have better economic indices than China? Even India is still a success story. Is it operating like China? No

Moreover Nigeria's problem is very unique. We have very corrupt, wicked leaders.
All around the world, most of those countries I mentioned are ran by the private sector.
What the government does is strict regulations and control even China does so.

Take example in Nigeria, OBJ s economic policies was that government has no business running any business.
Look at telecommunications, NCC has done an excellent job in regulations of that sector, and we have had a massive success story from our telecommunications sector.

This should be applied to power, petroleum etc sectors but the corruption in government won't allow for that.

Development is not something you play with as we always do in this part of the world. Even the famed Karl Marx once said that industrial development was a matter of life and death.Countries who are serious and know what they are doing will continue to make money off unserious ones such as those in Africa. China is making a lot of money from dangote refinery more than what Nigeria is making. For instance, more than 80 per cent of the steel used in the construction of the refinery comes from China,in addition to hundreds of Chinese engineers doing the construction. You see when you don't invest in your people they become economic liability that millions of Nigerians have become. African leaders are poorly educated to understand the geo-politics of the world. This is the reason they have adopted the neo-liberal economic policies of the West, which in its entirety call for aggressive privatization of state assets and non interference in the economy by the state. In other words they are saying African leaders should not site industries and leave everything to private individuals. Now tell me how a country with such large number of unemployed and poverty stricken people going to survive if government does not play a role in the economy? I understand that Nigerian government is grossly inefficient in management, but leaving the establishment of industries to private individuals only will not help grow the nation. This is exactly what China rejected which has seen China develop so quickly. Some of the biggest corporations in china today are government owned. Corporations such Sinotrucks, XCMG,JAC motors, JMC motors, Hiense,FAW motors, foton motors, ZOOMLION construction equipment company and many others are state owned. The companies, in addition to creating millions of useful jobs and revenues for both the people and the government, have laid the foundation for technological development of both the country and the private sector, as many people who have previously worked in those state owned companies have gone on to establish their own companies. Example of such company is SANY heavy equipment construction company, which happens to be the six largest maker of construction equipment in the world. With the government being serious in its understanding it has a much bigger role to play in the industrial modernization of the country, Nigeria will continue to be underdeveloped with harrowing poverty for the majority. No private individuals in Nigeria have the capital and technology to do much. The government has to lay down the foundation for industrial development.

When i was younger, my mum painted a picture of my dad to us as someone not really trying and lazy. Sometimes during there occasional arguments and quarrels she will mock him that his mates are out there hustling but my dad is too contented and satisfied with the meagre civil servant salary. Sometimes she sobs that what kind of head and destiny did she chose to deserve all these because she didn't bargained for this in life. Adagbe, adaso. Have been following nairaland since 2012 but fully registered 2015, I know some of you would have gone through what am going through now and each of your advises would be duly observed.

We are 3 in our family me my dad, and my elder brother who is also a graduate.

it all started wen I lost my mom to cancer 2016. she was a school teacher in one of the government school in abuja.

After her death we started following up her gratuity from Gov, God willing and thank God we were paid.

We decided to invest the money in schooling, which we decided to build a primary school in PH

I'm from Owerri but I have uncles from rivers state so we had the feelings that river state is a better option for the investement.

At least we have relatives there to show a good place to set up the school.

We went to our uncle's house who happens to be a Lawyer and narrated everything to him concerning a good land to Start up a school.

He told us he had a land for sell, we were happy because we felt he can't scam us.

We went through normal procedures concerning the land he wanted selling to Us.

Sorry not to have mentioned, my uncle came from a very respected and rich family so we handled everything with full assurance.

He then told us that 2 barristers (based in PH) are also involved in the land deal. That they own the land.

Since they were barristers, we consented.

So we paid 5million for two plots.

Though, the area wasn't that developed but they where few houses there, so starting up school there might be profitable

We started building fence and other important things that is ought to be done, in fact, all what we spent would sum up to 1.2million.

In the course of building, someone we don't know came and chase us out of the land, Saying the land belongs to him.

During this period, my dad tried to reach out to my uncle and the other 2 barristers to come and explain things to him but they were no where to be found.

He spent 2 weeks in PH without any sign from them nor results.

This is a year and three months we paid for that land and we haven't step into that land and no straight answers had been given to us.

We trusted him.

What annoys me the most is that he now pick our calls only when he feels like and no straight answer would still be given..

We have been avoiding taking the case to court because we fear it would last longer in court.

He told us to take him anywhere we like, that he will defend himself.

We don't need the land again, we want our money back cause what we have experienced so far is not what we bargained for.

I'm thinking of going to Brekete family (Human Right Radio) in Abuja to seek for solution

Note: My uncle is now based in Abuja but those two lawyers are based in PH.

Not everybody subscribes to the bible, so it does not make sense using the bible to admonish such person.

I went to a Catholic school that had many muslims and they did not feel discriminated or scorned at. That cannot happen today, as the new firebrand Christianity sees everybody else as lost and a duty to get them found.

I went for higher school in sokoto, and muslims and Christians lived in harmony. No Muslim trying to push sharia down the throats of infidel Christians.

Humans of nowadays have far more sexual restrains than any times in the past. Now, you find many girls and guys that go past their teens without any sexual experience. In the old days young girls were married off before their 16th birthday. In many cases before their 14th.

In the past, rape of young women was very common especially in times of conflict and wars. A lady or girl without male protector, either a father, brother or husband was likely to be raped.

You are just pandering to religious sentiments, incidents of rape and pedophilie were much more prevalent in all almost all ancient societies than present day.
