Politics › Re: How Petitions On Tinubu’s Bullion Vans Landed Magu In Trouble by DMerciful(m): 3:24am On Jul 11, 2020
You think those bullion vans money came from thin air? By the time EFCC quizzes the bank managers upto director level, the exact amount and documentation will come out. Tinubu should for 2023, he made a mistake with that bullion van saga due to overconfidence. Everybody slips up eventually
emkz:
I tire.

Some of these children think it is easy to prove an allegation against someone beyond all reasonable doubt. It is a herculean task.

An average lawyer would question the petitioner as follows:

Lawyer: You saw bullion vans driving into the respondent's house on February 22nd 2019 at 1700 hours?
Petitioner/Witness (with an air of pride that the questions would be easy): Yes!
Lawyer: Can you tell the honourable court the contents of the vans?
Petitioner/Witness: Money!
Lawyer: Can you give the court an estimate of how much money was there?
Petitioner/Witness: I don't know.
Lawyer: Fair enough. Did you see money loaded into the vans and offloaded from the vans, and if so, can you tell us the originating bank where the money emanated from?
Petitioner/Witness: That is for the EFCC to investigate....
Lawyer (cuts in sharply): ... but you made the allegation. How can you make an allegation without solid evidence? We are not aware that a bank was robbed, we are also not aware that the contents of the vans was indeed money. It could as well have been food to feed the people in his house. We can as well ask the company whose bullion vans were used to transport whatever, but what if the vans drove in empty to pick up money to take to the polling centres? Have you considered that? I think it is not enough to submit a petition accusing someone of something without in the least a pictorial evidence of the contents of the van. (Turns to the judge) I think the petitioner is looking for cheap fame and made a naive attempt to smear the image of the respondent. I pray to the honourable court that, as a deterrent to the petitioner and people like him, the petitioner pays the cost of this court sitting and aggravated damages of 1 billion naira or a jail term of 5 years in lieu of the fine.
Petitioner/Witness (in his mind): who will save me now? I have a wife and dependants, who would take care of them? Why I no just leave this matter alone when I know say I no get proof?

Bottomline: It is not enough to accuse, proof is the meat.

Did Nigeria army/Nigeria not give Nzeogwu a State burial? Someone that was alleged to have been the origin of the civil war, the end of regionalism, yet was given a state burial after the civil war. What does that tell you? It means Nigeria hated Igbos before but was looking for an excuse. Infact Nzeogwu hastened what they had in mind that why Gowon ended regionalism and put successive military Northern govt machinery in place. Answer the question, why did Nigeria give Nzeogwu a state burial?
Sammy07:
The first coup in Nigeria was in 1966.
Killing major top politicans and military officers of other tribes. Led by an Igbo man.

Same year, Aguyi ironsi another Ibo man became the head of state.

There were so many pleas and beggings from other tribes that he should bring the coup plotters into justice.

He didn't do that.
Can you tell me why he didn't do that?

Or what do u think is the reason why he didn't do that.

Why why igbo leaders of that time even Azikwe didn't say anything about it.

If you guys ain't hypocrites I don't know what to call you.

The Igbos moved on as seen by returning to the places in other regions they were before the war and building properties. It is the rest of Nigeria that refused to move on by saying they can't trust the Igbos with power. Any little conflict or poster of Mohammed in far away Denmark leads to killing of Igbos by Northerners. The rest of Nigeria are somehow pained that the Igbos they could have finished off came back on top!
needanswer:
in the Nigerian story, the Ibo citizenry were hard done. the vengeful nature of the Fulani/hausa's caused them to pounce on an entire tribe because of what a few soldiers lead by an Ibo man did to their leaders. Those who wronged them should have been dealt with alone and not an entire tribe which is genocidal. I believe that lead to them feeling unsafe and wanting to live Nigeria as a whole. post civil war, we have had some of that pattern of ethnic killing replicated time and again. this is unjust, and I condemn it.

but the ibo's are also not without fault. they lost the war for freedom from Nigeria and while I commend majority of them for going back to different parts of Nigeria that they ran from forgetting how their people may have been killed their, some of them and their followers have not accepted the result of the war. Germany and japan lost their respective wars fairly and Unfairly but did not dwell on the loss. dwelling on it would have cause them to seek revenge and maybe WW3. moving on is more noble for great minds but not easy if you aren't mature enough.

What you failed to understand is the survivability of the Igbos. Very soon when elections becomes credible, you will know that there is nothing like the North! The North appears United due to rigging but electronic voting will end that nonsense and that's why Bubu refused to sign the electoral amendment
Eddy000:
So you expect the northerners to put secession clause in the 1999 constitution when 'no secession' turned out to favour them? Only fools will do that...
Azikiwe fought fiercely against 'secession clause' while Ironsi and Ojukwu doubled down and even fought against the first secession from Nigeria with the myopic thought that Igbos will dominate the political scene of Nigeria which backfired and put the northerners in the position of power...now you don't expect the northerners to play a fair game in the 1998 constitution and include 'secession clause' when the table has turn against the Igbos. The Igbo leaders made a grave mistake by creating the loopholes which the northerners still exploit till today so much of the blame still goes to them.
You don't get to blame your opponent for hitting below the belt when you did it first but missed...You should learn to take responsibility for your actions and the resulting domino effects.
Politics › Re: Leaked Intelligence Report On Nigeria/niger Delta/biafra/middle Belt/west by DMerciful(m): 3:56am On Jun 27, 2020
In your delusions you thought Igbos are suffering in Nigeria when they are conquering! You said opportunity comes but once as though other ethnic groups dont want progress. You think you're doing the indomitable Igbos, you're doing yourself!
Think9ja:
There's no doubt in my mind that this is the real history. These are facts. I took my time to read this to the very end. I don't normally do that.

I've always suspected Igbos must have done something terrible to this country for them to be treated like this. Thank God I came across this thread. This is the gospel truth.

In my 27 years on earth, I've always thought the Yorubas are the problem of this country for always endorsing these aboki people, but I was wrong.

Truly, Igbos were and are still the problem of Nigeria.

For goodness sake what was Azikiwe and all the igbo leaders thinking? How can you have several opportunities to destroy this contraption by the British and not take it? Worse still, you carried out a coup against aboki people?

It's written in the holy books that children will suffer the sins of their father, this is the case of Igbos.

Someone said why was seccession not captured in the 1999 constitution? The answer is opportunity comes but once. Azikiwe had every opportunity in the world to give the Igbos a better life, but he kicked against any seccession plan by the Yoruba and the abokis, simply because he wanted to show the British how loyal he is. WHAT A FOOL!

The Igbos have lost their chance, nothing for them again

By the way...
So it was the British that just sat down and drew map for us and grouped them into subregions? SMH.
I always wonder how Kwara state is North Central. Kwara state and a large part of Niger state are no where in the middle. Benue state should not also be in the middle, it is more in the south east. In fact the only states in the middle of Nigeria are FCT and Nasarawa State. All the other middle belt states were just forced into the middle.

Plateau state is called a middle belt state simply because there are more Christians in the state than there are Muslims.

Every thing about Nigeria's foundation is wrong. From the map to the leaders.

Having said that...
Nnamdi Azikiwe and all the early Igbo leaders have betrayed their generation simply because of their selfish interests.

Una never see anything.

Nice one OP and more of this type of thread.

So let APC zone their ticket to SW and PDP to North. We will support the North until equity enters your dictionary!
LegendHero:
I still stand on my earlier post. Abiola won ALL the southern states except Imo, Abia, Enugu, and Rivers.

SW and the south never made an pact in the first place so what is there to betray? What is the correlation between SW that is APC and the SS that is PDP? How did betrayal come into the picture?

Sometimes, I think you guys just bandy words without knowing the true meaning. When did PDP start accusing people in APC of betrayal for voting their party presidential candidates?
Politics › Re: 2023: Sagay Fumes Over Clamour For Presidency To Remain In North by DMerciful(m): 7:49pm On Jun 14, 2020
Now that you agreed you took the deceitful approach as revenge then we can move on from that. The SW betrayed the South by making Bubu who had contested 3 times and was rejected for good reason to win in 2015. From the failures in all fronts from Bubu, we are right to have voted against him.
LegendHero:
What should I do with the numbers?

Where is the numbers of the 2015 presidential election in the SW? Why do your kinsmen keep saying Yoruba betrayed Jonathan if vote is only by the numbers?

Do you even know Jonathan got roughly 1.8million votes in the SW in 2015?

Do you know the vote he got in the SE is roughly 2.3million votes?

So because of the difference of 500k vote, you igbos have been shouting since that Yoruba betrayed him.

Are you not being an hypocrite by asking me for the numbers?
Politics › Re: 2023: Sagay Fumes Over Clamour For Presidency To Remain In North by DMerciful(m): 7:12pm On Jun 14, 2020
You know you're being deceitful by not showing the margins per state. Is number of states won the basis for winning a general election?
LegendHero:
Stop disturbing me.

Did Tofa won Imo, Abia, Enugu? Yes or No?

Did Jonathan not win more than 40% of the vote in all SW states in 2015? Then why do you guys scream betrayal if it’s just because of the numbers?
Politics › Re: 2023: Sagay Fumes Over Clamour For Presidency To Remain In North by DMerciful(m): 6:46pm On Jun 14, 2020
If you're not mischievous you would use number of voters from each state rather than who won each state because winning a state may be as little as 10 votes.
LegendHero:
Tinubu owe no Igbo man any favor. Not in this life or the hereafter!

Ojuku himself campaigned openly for Shagari in 1983, so the Igbos have been playing ball boy to the North since the days of Azikwe.

2023 will be no different. We know you will vote the Fulanis as usual and we will be ready for you!

See below in 1993:
-Abiola won more states in the North than Tofa.
-Abiola also won all the states in the south except the states of Imo, Abia, River, and Enugu

Why not marry those men who are not really interested in sex rather than pretend to love sex during courtship just to hoodwink a man that you know likes sex to marry you and after marriage, starts giving silly excuses. You think it's all the time that the man is in the mood for responsibilities? He fulfils them regardless. She is not in the mood doesn't mean she would loose anything to satisfy the husband. Worst case she will not be very active and it not more than 5mins. Would she be ok if the husband has a side chick to augment for the times when she'll not be in the mood? How come she was always in the mood before marriage?

See you celebrating a criminal Abacha while berating a man who won the freest and fairest election we have ever had. You liken someone that contested and won overwhelmingly to an intelligent pupil that never sat for exam, are you wise at all?
Did you vote for Abacha? Who made him president or head of state?
In saner climes, Bubu should be in prison for treason for overthrowing a democratically elected government. If Nigeria is not a fantastically corrupt country and sh*those, tell me how coupist like IBB, Gowon, Abacha, Bubu are recognized as ex-head of state?
Adonko:
Am simply quoting you cos of the bolded cos there is no truth in what you are saying, the fact that a child was the most intelligent student in a particular class is not a necessary/sufficient condition to promote him to another level if he did not sit for the promotional exam is unheard-of.

In saner climes, he was not supposed to be honored with the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR), but we let that slide for Peace sake. So weather Abacha was bad, brutal or whatever the truth here is that he was once a president and that cannot be swept under the carpet even at death. So including this in your write up was very unnecessary.
