ogascomax: I know that people will start talking nonsense whenever they heard about privatization of the refinery. The refinery shouldn't have been in the hands of the government in the first place. No government runs refinery but it's only in Nigeria do such happen that is why the system had collapsed. Refineries should be run by private bodies and regulated by the government. Look at how NLNG is functioning today under private bodies. Privatization is the way to go. A responsive and responsible government should have not allowed the refineries to collapse but manage it in such a way that will add more refineries over the years. But corruption did not allow them do all that. There is nothing inherently wrong with government building and running refineries while still allowing the private sector involvement. It would be a better way of regulating pricing. |

And to think Lagos was capital of Nigeria until 1991 should give everyone perspective as to how Lagos is expected to be by now.
The truth is that Lagos if it didn't continue to be the economic capital of Nigeria by reason of it's strategic position and also the absence of functional ports in other parts of Nigeria would have been worse than it is now.
But "hey" let's vote Tinubu so he can make Nigeria like Lagos. |

But it is rather a prequel to rigging. So that when they finally rig themselves in, people can look back and think "maybe he won because he had so much support". That's also the idea behind hiring of campaign crowds. |

Throwback: Notice how the supporters of Peter Obi on this forum are the same people who are happy that there was a forceful seat at home by a terrorist group.
Yet they continue to deny that IPOB is not the mob driving the Peter Obi presidential pursuit.
The same people who had earlier warned Obi that his presidential campaign is bigger than him the candidate.
The same people who have warned that any Igbo campaigning for Tinubu in Igbo land would leave this Earth.
I am not surprised that the Igbos have queued behind their fellow Igbo to achieve their dream of Igbo Presidency. It is those who think they are pursuing a nationalistic agenda that I am puzzled about. No one is stopping you from queueing behind Tinubu and I won't begrudge you for doing what you believe is best for you. However in Nigerian politics there is "what is best for you" and then there is "what is best for the masses". If you have vested interest and connection to any candidate whatsoever, those two may always never be the same thing. But at the end of the day, it is your vote, your choice. But we should get full disclosure and be notified of potential conflict of interest before you try to sell your choice to us. |

While most networks will work with any APN or even gibberish as APN. The APN you chose determines the path your internet will take and how stable and fast the connection will be. And from experience "cmnet" is the most stable Airtel APN in Lagos, I did the testing in Lagos so I cannot say for other locations.
So if you are browsing with an Airtel SIM ensure you set the APN to "cmnet" in case you changed it previously. But with respect to other networks you can leave it at "cmnet" and test the stability of the network as against that network's default APN. |

NaBanga: He certainly handled it well. This couple is in America. The guests are American. Everyone knows you can't touch a woman, let alone a pregnant woman in the public eye. He may have admonished her later, but he would have been foolish to do so in public. Most likely he has advised her to calm down or seek help from her doctor. He will not put her under much pressure, because he could charged with a crime. I am not talking about touching the wife. Why would someone assault their wife whether privately or publicly (irrespective of where they are) for what she said? That would be a very foolish man. I mean just like the other lady refuted what the wife said by saying she was only joking. The husband could have also said the same thing, actually his body language showed he wanted to say it, but he must have advised himself against that. |

Why is this so? Is love dead in Nigeria? The goal all along was the coochie. Once it is won, there is no reason to continue. Sometimes they might want to get the coochie a couple of more times before technically ghosting you. What is the solution? Never give in to sex irrespective of the pressure. Then I pity the few women who think that they can get the guy to fall in love with them after sex. For guys sex is sex. Stop deluding yourself. |
Politics › Re: Elections: APC Will Triumph In South-East – Uzodimma by dochenaj: 2:14pm On Sep 09, 2022 |
FreeStuffsNG: If you want to understand structure, please go and join APC or PDP at the ward level and watch how even at ward level structure exists. One man or woman has a group of real voters who he attends to their needs even when there is no election and they know and accept him as their political leader. Those are the people who are the structures of the party. They are not idlying away on the social media. In 2015, I was at a ward polling station and witnessed how a single leader delivered 50 women and men to vote for a political party and changed the result from that polling booth. You can not do that and people like that man are not on the social media. In elections there are decided voters and then there are undecided voters. I believe someone with your political exposure has already made a decision as to who to vote come next year. And there are millions like you. In the course of the campaign people will switch from their already preferred candidates to another but the percentage of such switch is usually less than 15%. Where the real deal lies is on the undecided voters. Who need to be convinced by a robust grassroots campaign. The person who influenced 50 votes for their candidate could only influence undecided voters and odds are most of the 50 people were actually going to vote for the same candidate. If there are plenty undecided voters then the campaign was not robust to start with. With each passing day, technology increases and so does internet usage. The role of social media should not be ignored. What LP should focus on is a people centric campaign if they campaign team know their onions. Obi may not win but anyone who thinks he will not get up to 5 million votes is kidding themselves. |

FreeStuffsNG: I am not sure you understand politics The mushroom party lp has not even a councillor seat in the whole SE yet PDP, APC and APGA share all the elective positions. It is wishful thinking to expect PDP/APC/APGA members and political structure to vote against their own parties in an open secret ballot. The result will shock you like Osun's result. Those folks are not on the social media and definitely will deliver votes in like pattern that made PDP dominate the SE today. SE is more likely going for PDP as usual but APC will try. No chance for any mushroom party except APGA. check my signature for free stuffs! When you say things like "deliver votes" I don't understand what that means at all. Structure is good for rigging and countering rigging attempts and nothing more. If there is a guarantee of a free and fair election, then structure is useless and the populace have all the power. Structure is not votes, the people are the votes and every person has his individual votes. If APC has 36 governors that's 36 votes, add their household (let's assume for the sake of this argument that they can get their households to vote accordingly) then with an average household of 20 persons that's 720 votes. Now replicate same for the Senators, HOR members, Ministers, LG chairmen and they will scarcely make 500,000 votes. |

Soso990240: I bet you still have a lot to learn about this game of football. You dont just wake up and sign a new contract. There must be negotiations before contracts can be signed. Mane left in June, Salah signed in July.. meaning that Liverpool never valued Mane. How can you say that Salah is a better footballer than Mane? Both had different work. Mane was more versatile, and a utility player, Mane was even used as a striker sometimes. Mane has won Premier league Golden boot just like Salah. Mane is always more visible in Games compared to Salah, who only functions as a RWF. Mane has always been the engine room of that attack. Watch this: Virgil Van Dijk - £220,000 Thiago Alcántara do Nascimento - £200,000 Trent Alexander-Arnold - £180,000 Roberto Firmino - £180,000 Diogo Jota - £180,000 Fabinho Tavares - £180,000 Darwin Núñez - £179,423 Sadio Mane - £100,000.
Just look at that earning and be sincere to urself. All of una go just de form opinion, with no reasonable point. Liverpool claim they are cutting weekly wages, why start with Mane? why did they still offer Salah £350,000 to £400,000 when they are cutting cost? Salah is 31, Mane is 30, Van Dirk is 31. And Liverpool could only offer Mane £175,000 while offering Salah £350,000. It is better now that Mane is earning £345,000 per week The point is that Klopp already made his plans to dump Mane if he ask for a pay rise above £170,000 , that was why they Signed Luiz Diaz.. But they have forgotten that Mane is Ten times a big game player compared to Diaz. Klopp will live with his decision of comparing Luiz Diaz to Mane. That was very condescending. You are entitled to your opinion as is every other person. But don't come here telling me how I don't know anything about football. When yourself is very myopic to see the big picture. |

Soso990240: You clearly lack comprehension on the issue the guy raise. How can you offer Mane £170,000 while Salah is Earning £400,000? Mane and his agent requested for £300,000 and Liverpool refused. Yet Liverpool kept using him because they know how important of a player he is. They felt Bringing in Luiz Diaz will solve Mane problem, but now look at it You forgot that Salah's wage was increased only after Mane left the club with a lot of stalling on Salah's contract. The truth is that Salah is better than Mane as evidenced from over the years. Salah is having a dry run now, but it happens to every player even to Messi. And Liverpool injury woes is not helping matters too. |
