The pastor has a right to keep his preferred candidate private.
After all, Wike that is a politician after much noise making has failed to come out publicly to announce support for any particular candidate.
So why should the pastors be coerced into being public about their support.
However where I draw the line is if they had been politically vocal but for some selfish reason decides to keep mute this time around. |

LegendHero: The North power brokers are currently with Tinubu.
Forget the old intel you had about the North. If it was the previous North, the APC governors would have decamped to Atiku side openly.
But you have a North where the whole ulamas and traditional leaders in a state are unanimously declaring for a southern Tinubu. That speaks volume.
If you think say e easy, try make your candidate do am. Don't delude yourself that Tinubu will get more Northern support than Atiku. He will be lucky to get up to 25% of the votes cast in the NW and NE combined. |

Atiku is very likely to get up to 25% in Rivers but I am certain Tinubu will barely make 10%. |

I wouldn't be surprised at "stylish racism" from your white colleagues, if how you write is same as you speak. |

Misterone: What this means is that the status quo still stand. The old Naira is still a legal tender. Even if Buhari does not implement this, the next government will. Well people don't accept the old notes anymore irrespective of the Supreme court ruling. No thanks to Buhari's broadcast affirming that the 500 and 1000 naira notes are no longer legal tender. I expected him to concede but he is really unflinching about it. Anyway, come Saturday there will be pushback if attempts at vote buying is done with the old naira notes irrespective of what you tell yourself. |

This is where intuition or working by the Spirit comes to play. |

WackyJ1: Is it a crime to call the Wife of your friend by her first name?
I've known this guy since 2018. He met his wife in 2020.
They've done traditional wedding.
I once followed this guy to law faculty of our school during our Masters program and spent 6 hours typing the project of his then ex.
The same ex ended up blaming him for her misfortune.
I'm the best man for his white wedding tomorrow.
Yet, he's warning me for calling his wife her first name in the same sentence where I also referred to my girlfriend by her own first name.
He claims I was wrong and he has refused to apologise.
I need this one the front page.
Was I wrong?
MORE DETAILS https://www.nairaland.com/7563621/it-wrong-call-friends-wife/2#120932806 Your friend definitely has some psychological issues. Is he autistic? Cos that is the only thing that will make me accept this kind of behaviour from a grown up man. |

In Nigerian politics with no ideologies, there is no permanent friend or enemies.
It is just a flux, with people gravitating to where they will get the most benefit. |

Britishcoins: Hmm,thanks... Exactly what is disturbing me here.. The nsukka girl seem so hard working, each time she visits my shop she is always willing to help.. Though the other girl has never visited and she does not look like someone who can work.. Her major commodity to offer is beauty.. I am not even interested in it.. Why will you claim that you don't care about Sarah's beauty when that is exactly the main and probably only reason you are attracted to her. Anyway, while beauty is vain and is never lasting and shouldn't be the only reason to marry someone but then it is not fair to marry someone you are not attracted to, you may end up resenting them in years to come and regretting marrying them and that's unfair to them. To the best of my knowledge, from what you have shared so far, none of these girls is best suited for you. Continue your search. And I assure you, when you find her, you will not be asking Nairaland opinion about her. |

If not for corruption the redesign and subsequent reduction of amount of currency in circulation would have helped the economy.
But it was thwarted by the corruption in the banking sector.
A friend told me how his friend that was a top official in a commercial bank told him that as the banks are collecting the new currency notes from the CBN it has all been sold before the money gets back to the bank. |

FG is, and the Supreme court interim order was to FG, who can mandate CBN to do the same. Emefiele can never be held in contempt. If Buhari mandates Emefiele to extend the deadline and he refuses, Buhari is expected to fire his ass and if he fails to do so, he Buhari will be held in contempt not even the Emefiele that refused his boss' order. |
