jaxxy: So why haven’t ur criminal politicians been arrested and looked up for years?
Bandits caught shud face punishment the full crimes. If they want to surrender that is quite different and u shud discuss those terms and come to agreement whatever that may be. I don’t even know the negotiations they want. Don’t criminals in court negotiate for lighter sentences so what’s we don’t negotiate with bandits? People negotiate based on what’s at stake.
What is stupid in what I said? Of course the country reeks of corruption and everyone of us will want to see all the corrupt politicians in jail. But that's not what we are talking about here. When you talk about negotiating of sentence. That is unheard of. You can beg for leniency in lieu of your willingness to surrender, but to negotiate what sentence and judgement you will be given is unheard of and very hilarious. Negotiations imply receiving offers and giving a counteroffer till both parties come to a compromise. A negotiation with a murderer in court will go thus. Murderer: Your Honor, don't give me a death penalty. I only killed 2 people, it is unfair to give me the same sentence as a mass murderer, rather give me 25 years imprisonment. Judge: Are you crazy, 25 years for murder, okay I'll give you life sentence without parole. Murderer: I don't accept that. I'll only take a life sentence if I can be paroled. Judge: Final verdict, life sentence with parole. Case closed. It is strange to give someone a plea deal even before they surrender. That's ludicrous and plain stupid. |

jaxxy: So what will u do now?? If bandits want to surrender and give up arms won’t u listen to them as citizens or u want the banditry to continue or u want to go to war?
America doesn’t negotiate with terrorists doesn’t mean they won’t talk with their own citizens if and when necessary even in such circumstances. Keep acting mr tough guy without direction. If an armed robber and murderer walks into the police station and surrenders, I guess we should be like "wonderful lad, you surrendered your weapon and confessed your crime, you can go home now and be a good man". Do you see how ridiculous and stupid your statement sounds if applied to any criminal. Bandits are criminals and whether the surrender or not, they should be judged by the crimes they committed and in lieu of their willful surrender, they may be given a lighter sentence but never entirely pardoned cos that would be injustice. |

Career › Re: A 100k Monthly Salary In Nigeria Is Better Than A 400k Monthly Salary In USA by dochenaj: 3:19pm On Mar 10, 2021 |
bloggerblogger2: YOU MAY AGREE OR DISAGREE.
A 100K monthly salary earner in Nigeria is better than a 400K monthly salary earner in the United States.
The luxury lifestyles some of us live here with 100K, cannot sustain us a day over there. We can’t try such in US and save a dim.
Some of our annual rent here is weekly/ monthly rent over there. Can you pay over 100K naira monthly house rent with 400K monthly salary here in Nigeria? You can’t do that, but you don’t have a choice over there. You pay or kicked out of the house.
Some of our people over there are becoming wiser now. They don’t mind sleeping on the streets, work for at least 5-10yrs, move back to Nigeria with their savings. You cannot survive with 100M living comfortably a year over there. Tax go finish you up. But you can live large with 100M for 5yrs or more here in Nigeria depends on your lifestyles tho.
You don’t pay unnecessary tax here. But in foreign countries you pay almost everything. In naija you can own 10 cars..not in the United States because you pay for packing space for each car. You get the point now?
Some of our people in diaspora, once they earn $10K in a month or so, depends on the job, they’d send $9K down to their Nigeria account and keep $1K for their upkeep. Some would buy lands and build houses for rent or some other businesses. If you don’t do that, you’d work all your life and come back with nothing. Those of you on this method are wise. But becareful of the people you send your money to here. Trust no one! Get a trustworthy lawyer involved.
U can make unnecessary noise or play loud music here. You can’t try such over there and not find yourself in police cell.
So you see….We are privileged here. We only need to get bad political leaders off the way. By getting involved in politics, national, state, LGA and community affairs. That’s how American youth you admire, do.
They don’t just fold hands, wailing and waiting for a miracle. They debate, disagree, challenge, involved and create. You get the point now? Yes, rent is costlier comparatively in the US than in Nigeria but that's just that. Every other thing is cheaper in the US. You talk about being able to pack your 10 cars. In Nigeria if you're not living in a mansion, where will you park your 10 cars. |

ModestGal: Even though I'm not a Shiite, I will stand with Justice for anyone, no matter their religion, tribes or culture. The federal Government should obey the law and release these people, because truth is that they are a very peaceful Muslims, more than SUNNIS. I'm sure if SUNNIS is in the position of Elzaky zaky today, they would have bombed so many places, kill so many innocent citizens. If I'm lieing, check Afghanistan and other SUNNI dominated Countries. Even they burnt a mosque recently because the government asked them to stay home to safe themselves. But because of religious difference between SUNNI and SHIite, the SUNNIS will never speak the truth.
Yes, I'm so much against the dominatory and killings by the SUNNIS in every country in the world, and their corruption. The history of the SUNNIS start with blood drinking, killing of Hussein and a 9month old baby just to gain power.
Everyone deserves justice no matter who the person is, young, old, married, single, and no matter the religion, beliefs as well as Atheist. Injustice doesn't do anything than to cause more war in the land. The reason we have the Shiite today is because of the injustice of the SUNNIS with hazrat Ali, the killing of Hussein and a 9month old baby, after more than 500years, that injustice is still causing Havocs in the land. Even Nigeria, with no affiliation with either Hussein, Ali, or the Ummayyads or even the Arabs.
The reason the Igbo's are angry today is because of injustice. We should all support justice no matter who is in question and our differences You're not a Shiite. But you didn't tell us what you are. |

seunmsg: In Nigeria, nobody is thinking about the impact of the Coronavirus on the economy. The price of crude oil has crashed so badly and even at that, countries are still not buying. Our fragile internal economy is now under the strain of a partial lockdown. If the lockdown is sustained for a long period, how will people survive? What will happen to our local economy?
Yesterday, Tinubu attempted to profer a solution by advising government to quickly print more Naira in the interim so as to provide social security to the population and sustain the local economy till the crisis is over. Instead of debating the merit and demerit of his suggestion, people who don’t understand how the virus will affect our economy descended on him and accused him of looking for more money to steal. Some quack errconomist even opined that Nigeria will become Zimbabwe overnight.
Whatever the case, this is the time to start thinking of how to rescue the country from the economic recession that is staring at us in the face. If we all keep pretending that all is well, the recession that will hit us in the next few weeks is already doing press up. And this time around, it will be worse than the last one because it would be a global recession. So what's your argument for or against the printing of more naira notes? |
