Ghostmode2two:The patient of course. We have no Government. Our democracy should be defined as "Government is the people on their own". |
Righteousness89:Why are you replying that degenerate? He is lucky Nairaland has no downvotes, it would have thought him to see how stupid his post sounded. |
SmartMen:When you learn to write properly and intelligently you can mention me, until then, engaging with you is tantamount to casting my pearls before swine. |
Nairalandmonika:One will think that with your high level of "intelligent" you'll know how to use your tenses and know the difference between an adjective and a noun. Lol |
masterP042:The gravity of an infectious disease is based largely on two things. 1. The fatality rate - This is the percentage of people who die from illness after being infected despite receiving standard care. The fatality rate of COVID-19 is about 3%. But the disease is still evolving and we know little about the longterm survival of the survivors given there could be complications like lung fibrosis. To add to that, Nigeria's healthcare sector is light years behind the standard of care. And our fatality rate could be as worse as 50%. 2. Basic reproduction number - This a number that roughly determine the transmission rate of the disease. It is the average number of secondary infections produced by a typical case of an infection in a population where everyone is susceptible. The basic reproduction number from studies in China put COVID-19 as between 2-3.1. Meaning that at least 2-3 people will be infected by someone who gets infected. If you know a little mathematics you'll know that is scary. Because by the 10th level of infection we could have about 2^10 - 3^10 (1024 - 59,049) people infected. And that number will keep rising exponentially with each level until a cure or vaccine can be found. It doesn't help that Nigeria is scientifically and educationally defunct, go to the Universities and see people doing doctoral programmes and you realize we can only get vaccines as an aid from WHO and the rest of the world. If in the light of the above you think Coronavirus is being overplayed, then your case is irredeemable. |
Odunolumide:Okay. |
GuyWise101:Unfortunately they rich "polithievians" has better odds at surviving the outbreak. Do you ever think about that? If there is a pandemic in Nigeria, I can assure you the death toll would be like 1 politician per 10,000 masses. To me that's not a good ratio. So I think Coronavirus is bad news for Nigeria no matter who is involved. |
SmartMen:You don't need to mention it, to imply it. And you know that was what you implied. |
shogsman:Convert $2000 with the current dollar rate, and that becomes huge money. One will think that a country that depends on imports will do more to increase the value of their currency rather than devalue it. |
Odunolumide:What are you saying that counteracts what he said? |
SmartMen:The scientists, doctors and nurses is not synonymous to atheist. |
NaijadrivaCars:Nope, if 500 politicians take up the virus. They will get all the available ventilators and recover to continue the cycle of looting while the thousands and millions they will infect will die from the virus. |
bimbola4real:Surplus equipment indeed. How many ventilators are in National Hospital Abuja? Unfortunately the sick politicians will get the only few and the sick masses would have to manage with oxygen delivered via nasal cannula at best. |
Unfortunately Kyari will get pristine management while the aides are left to their own devices. He has better chances of survival than his aides. But this virus has a much higher epidemiological reproduction number than reported, if he has already given 3 aides. Who knows how many more that came in contact with him that has it. |
Pierced:Let's go first. I'll make sure you don't overstay. |
Pierced:And business is the only way to make money? Come let's go to Canada jare. |
Pierced:You too like business. |
An uncle who had dabbled into politics and was a member of the APC until he realized that politics was not for a man who wanted to keep his hands clean and quit had told us ere the election tribunal ruling that Uzodimma would be declared winner. It was laughable because Uzodimma was clearly not in the picture and it was impossible for him to be declared winner. But then Nwosu was disqualified and that was the first tactical move to take him out of the way, and the second move was to allow Ihedioha sail through in the Election tribunal and Appeal court and giving him the illusion of victory while perfecting the scheme to oust him. The last game was to get Mbaka to prophesy about the victory of Uzodimma. The Roman Catholic Church is the most populous single denomination in the South East and Mbaka has huge following not only in Enugu state but in all of the other South East states. Now with the Supreme court ruling aligning with the "prophesy" it appears Uzodimma victory is divine and because of how much power religion has on Nigerians it was the only way to douse and limit the outcry for no one would want to "fight against God's choice'. And I can assure you that there will be sponsored celebrations in Imo state to celebrate this ruling. That is the icing move. Now this is what I call " Knight to D5, checkmate". But what the people playing this game forget is that they are not God. And once God's longsuffering runs out on them, they would know better than to play God. |

GamalNasser:The only reason Assad is still there is because he has Putin's support that's all irrespective of who the American president is. Until he goes out of favour with Putin no amount of external force excepting God can remove him. |
slapandfall:I don't even understand the basis for prophesying that Hope Uzodimma will be the next governor. If there was anyone who stood a chance of ousting Ihedioha, it was only Uche Nwosu. The prophesy is just a funny one, ain't the man shown that he is mad by that prophesy? |
Won't you also release him if the court grants him bail and hr meets the conditions of his bail? |
What's the surprise in that. They were all together before Atiku left to contest for president under PDP. |
All these suicide with sniper should stop. The sniper I bought the other day couldn't even kill common ant because it has been diluted. No wonder the girl had to go for two bottles. Please suicidal people, find other ways to die that excludes use of sniper. A word is enough for the wise. |
Thegeneralqueen:Will you be her legal counsel cos that woman obviously doesn't have enough money to feed not to talk of paying a lawyer. |
BabaCommander:What you wrote was so incoherent that i don't even know where to start correcting you on. |
If you believe this story. Then you can believe anything. |
Contempt of court that DSS does on a daily basis. And yet the DSS boss has not been jailed. Definitely this man must have upset someone high up. |
This is interesting and commendable. But unfortunately the Amotekun would be soiled by the Nigerian factor and would end up no better than the Nigerian Police Force thus compounding an already terrible situation. |
Never read I a well and truthfully crafted article as this in a long while. I have always found it disconcerting that a significant number of African - American children are raised by single mothers who have to work multiple jobs to provide for their children because the father's are not taking responsibility. That further widens the generational decline in morals, values, and discipline. |
