His opinion appears good but biased. The example he gave was to merge nearby states with Kano.
He is Emir of Kano, seems he wants to have more states under his emirate.
This is a common sense really. Nigeria has no business creating 36 states they have now. Texas and california alone combined together, is almost as big as Nigeria.

I love the educational topics going on front page lately. Sadly it appears the minister's family might have survived if they had seat belt on.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing obviously, but majority of Nigerians don't seem to wear seat belts

PoliticsRe: Appointments That Shows Buhari's Administration Is Wasteful - Naij by Dollyak(f): 8:03pm On Mar 07, 2016
It appears majority of his appointments are wasteful. His biggest blunder has to be Fashola in power based on the significance. There are many qualified Nigerians all over the world that are a lot more qualified.

PoliticsRe: US Partners With Anambra On Agriculture, Oil & Gas, Industrialization & Commerce by Dollyak(f): 4:54pm On Mar 06, 2016
Respect to Anambra Governor and welldone to Anambra people for voting such a governor. A Governor is a reflection of the people and this seems to hold true so much for Anambra. No wonder they are leading in WAEC and GCE, because they appear smarter than indigens from other states right now.

Other states needs to get their acts together.

Litmus test for Fashola. He should pray that the current position do not expose/decimate his tin god image before his believers.

Sitting on the massive IGR of Lagos state is different from the power sector which currently will need an experienced carrier Engineer and with a tall CV in the world of Engineering and dynamics of Nigeria's power sector.

The only man that made any impact on a short period and which Nigerians attested was the American trained robotic Engineer Bath Nnaji. Special interest groups threw him out and the masses became the losers.
Thanks for the insight about Bath Nnaji. I do agree that the issue of power can only be solved by an Engineer with a knowledge of Generation, transmission and distribution. #Shrugs#

If you ban Fulani from the SW. Who is next ban Igbo from the SW too. I can see that coming right behind the Fulani. Or wait how about we ban the Yorubas from the North. C'mon people we are either one Country or we divorce. It cant be selective.
Who do you think has more to lose if we all ban each other? Where in Nigeria is comparable to Lagos? Ibadan is even more important to Nigeria economically than Kano. Stop the threat and accept the fact majority of your people are uneducated, uncivilised animals. You lots better do something about it because Boko will look like a child play (I hope not).

I will advise any one dat sincerely believe in this country to take out time and listen to this 26+ minutes interview b4 commenting. It is a pity dat d President fails to realise he was being interviewed by a very intelligent mod on a global tv station. This is d first interview dat I v seen someone looking our ruler eyeball to eyeball and asking those frank questions dat touch on d fabrics of our corporate existence as a country but if u ask me I must be honest dat d President answered below par from economy to security to foreign policy to Biafra renewed agitation et al. Why I expect backlashes as usual but pls do ensure u spare some mb to watch this epic documentary first.
I just watched the video and I must admit it was really embarrassing considering he is the president of Nigeria. I think the way forward is to hold a presidential debate from now on.

papaejima1:
No that's not my plan. I asked a question.
Meanwhile, I am a strong advocate of meeting the Fulani aggressors with superior force and mind numbing violence. It is the only language they understand.

I have a neighbour who hails from Enugu and he told us a story of how his village man went to the bush to set his trap. A fulani led his cows into the bush and one of the cows stepped on the trap set for ground squirrels and grass cutters. The fulani got mad, climbed up a tree and patiently waited for the villager. When the man returned in the evening to check on the traps, the fulani shot a poisoned arrow straight into his heart and he died on the spot.

The youths of the village said enough was enough, mobilized, hunted down the idiot and his cows, dispatched him, then blocked the expressway at several points, stopped every vehicle carrying hausas or fulanis and began a "cleanup exercise". It took the state govt to make them stop.

Since then, the village has been free of fulani nonsense. In fact they avoid the village like there is ebola in it.
That is how to do it.
Nice one

The fear of the northerners is the beginning of wisdom. Anyways, their leaders (northerners) have failed them massively with the lack of education and self development. It is going to take generations to fix this mess.

Guy every Yoruba land na no man's land....We Yorubas are d weakest tribe in Nigeria but we hide it by sayinh we're nice & accomodating.

Hausas are the strongest cos even Igbos fear them after wetin dr eyes see for their hand.
This is a painful realisation and why Nigeria can never separate.. The Yorubas are too timid. Tinubu should be empowering the Area boys with weapons to protect the Lagosians instead of collecting the b.s 'egunje' as my cousin calls it.

Where is the civil unrest in SW?

Because some miscreants fought on thursday which the government resolved the same day and things back to Normal in mile 12, you call that civil unrest. Because Fulani herdsmen destroyed some farms in Ondo like they always do in every other states in the country, you call that civil unrest. Let's even go by your ignorant definition, how does what happened in the 2 states has anything to do with the man? Or did anyone tell you he is the governor of south west?
Listen do you think this can happen in any western world. A single attack on French citizens in Paris- Americans in San Bernardino was enough for usa and parisians to take action. Every citizens is valuable in my world, not so much in Nigeria it appears even if it's reoccurring.

I wonder how some people reason...did that civil unrest affect all part of Lagos? Has it not been resolved? Besides how has Lagos state become Oyo State? Abi dem no blow up pipeline for ur side again? Hatred won't take you Anywhere
You guys never fail to baffle me. San Bernardino incident was enough for USA to take a swift executive measures regarding terrorist. You guys are too comfortable with deaths even reoccurring ones. No western world will accept this b.s. Swner are being killed the northerners and you lots are so comfortable with it.

Different perspectives about value of life I guess

You are certainly not well placed to make a comment. Any comment.
Because you are not intelligent enough to make a case for why he is qualified? Your response is quite predictable considering the level of education in Nigeria, so you are simply a validation.

This comment is totally inconsistent with some topics you have raised here on Nairaland.
I am not well placed to judge Jonathan's administration because I am not in the system.... In addition, there seems to be many conflicting stories about his tenure here on nl. However, buhari's previous inciting and frankly tribalistic comments/actions are well documented both on nl and in the papers. What qualities qualifies him as a president? Once you think deeply about this question, then you know it can only be a slippery slope.
