I have not Irked neither have I make any derogatory word/statement. I used the word "Lazy" cos most people just bump here to asking questions which have certainly been answered some 3-5 post away.

I respect people opinion and i was once in people shoes to ask meaningful questions which happens not to have been asked/treated.

Bros, According to one of our guys who is already in germany, Emeka..its advisable to buy your stuffs from Nigeria. Jeans and clothes are expensive. most especially phones and gadget. mind you, the prices will be in euros. also, go with alot of shoes cos according to him, there are no cobbler in germany. shoes and winter jacket are expensive as well. i think around 50-70 euros. so imagine spending 12,000 naira to buy a single jacket when u can get it for less at yaba or idumota.

Go with enough Garri and some food items as well. though i heard some kenyans inport stuffs that looks like Garri/semo.. its called griese or so.
you save cash if you like chicken and wine/beer, cos those are the cheapest food/drinks in germo. I also heard its better you go with an android phone so you can access your student portals easily.

As for Jobs, the first step is: do u speak german? it goes a long way to determine the kind of job you will get. also, which city are you gonna be staying. some cities are competitive and expensive like Berlin, Bremen, Dortmund and Stuttgart. you can get a good student job cos your visa allows that, but understanding deutsch is the key to getting a good one.

if not, u may end up getting a menial job, but it will be enough to sustain you. coupled with your blocked account cash which you can live on. 650 - 700 euros per month.

Watch ur spending. be mindful of pretty german ladies. (they like ice cream and chocolate, each cost as much as 20euros). if you are so conversative, you may be able to live on 200euros per month excluding accomodation.

For crying out loud, we are going for studies and not pleasures. I heard you will read alot when you get there. no expo, no bribe. so lets get acquainted to reading.

As for the issue of blocked account, u can apply for interview, and be interviewed without the money being paid. but one thing is so sure.. your visa WILL not be handed over to you if you dont fund that account.

In respect to oluwabukonla, it has been said countless times. you need either a university 100 level degree result or HND. no school in germany accept OND. you may keep trying out your luck but listen to people who have experience..no offense though.

As for me, Beebee knows better and what am facing..i believe alles gute ..

Nimakor, Nna mehn, no be small thing oo. I just got my transcript ready last week. I did Diploma and had a very good score but my school is yet to get that. without the diploma transcript, i may not apply cos its what i used in gaining admission into 200Level.

You guys are getting me wrong... my worries are:

Go to public bars/hotel they now use Qsat to send signals to rooms. obviously, a Qsat interface is different from Dstv. now its being widely used and abused. truth is qsat is Fta, but since it has been used to accessed dstv pay channels, its illegal.
When i wanted to get my qsat, it was sold secretly, the last time i was in alaba, it was being carried around, and guys even approach you to get a decoder that can watch dstv channels for free.
Is this right?

Amanda6: to most german uni nigeria is not in the category that u can use fact that u study in english in sec skul and waive the requirement, so it better to do the toefl exam. The countries considered r uk,usa,canada and australia as english is their firs language. I don't know about ur skul, just email them 2 b on d safe side.

also, i posses international certification, so i guess my school/fed ministry education should provide that.

Joexzy: Oga emeka I am not fighting or competing with you it's obvious you did not read my message or understand it well. Some school insist u send ur transcript directly from your university. In this case you don't have to certify or notorize it. I still stand to be corrected. Dolapz I hope you understand me. That is why I asked you to contact your school. E.g FAU Erlangen requires u send ur official transcript directly from ur school. You can still ask others in this forum. Thank you and good luck

emeka55: Oga pls stop giving wrong information. Which one is official signed sealed transcript? And who says u don't certify transcript if u are sending to uni-assist?
My transcript was official, signed, sealed and delivered to me yet I opened it, photocopied it and certified it then sent it to 15 schools including uni-assist. U don't have to collect 15 transcripts from ur school to apply to 15 schools whether original or official. One copy is enough.
The only difference is, if ur school will be sending ur transcript direct to the University or uni-assist, they don't have to certify it cos it won't be open but if the transcript enters ur hand, u need to open it and certify the photocopies before u send them.
U can certify documents at either the German embassy in Lagos for free or at a notary public for a fee. I used notary public for all my documents and they were accepted. Confirm which one ur school requires and go ahead.

Joexzy: btween they cant certify your transcript if it is still in a sealed school official envelop, except you are using the student copy of your transcript or the transcript envelop has already be opened by you and you want to use it to apply to various schools. take care and goodluck
