But i can't believe Oyinola is being Considered!!!

Oyinlola - Military Governor
Oyinlola- Civilian Governor
Oyinlola- MINISTER AGAIN!!!!!!! HABA
Oyinlola is a no-no and a nuisance. Past records in Osun can prove that.I wonder why anyone in his/ her right mind would nominate him?

Anyway my interest currently is who will be in charge for the following critical offices:-
1. Health
2. Education
3. Power,Works and transport
4. Economy and finance.
5. Defence
6. Judiciary

The rest...Well by the way. If this first five are solely based on political affiliation and not qualification, experience and expertise...PMB/ Osibanjo must be ready to face possible exit as political affiliation as a criteria have been failing our dear country for ages.

HealthRe: How The Internet Helped Restore My Baby's Health by donodion(m): 6:13pm On Sep 16, 2015
kennysteve77:
Fellow Nairalanders,

With great joy in my heart I give this brief account of how the internet helped restore my baby's health and prevented possible long-term complications. My lovely eight-month old baby suddenly began having seizures few days ago. It was so severe that it worried me and her mum so much that we though it was a spiritual attack. She would suddenly stiffen her neck and shake with great energy (seemingly unconscious), and then return to normal mode in less than a minute.

It happened like 3-5 times every 15minutes. Everytime it occurred, we felt like weeping as the ever lovely baby seemed to have been strangely hijacked. We rushed to the hospital and some blood tests were recommended. On seeing the results, the Doctors quickly knew it was a brain infection coupled with Malaria. Although some of them were worried that all other symptoms of Malaria and infection were absent in the baby - no high temperature, no yellow eyes, baby actively playing and sucking. The doctors immediately commenced treatment with strong antibiotics passed directly into her bloodstream + antimalarial drugs. Twice daily she was receiving the medications but on the third day, they got more worried that there was no improvement.

My wife was drastically losing her joy while everyone else was praying. On the evening of that third day, my wife picked her phone and began an extensive research on Google.com for possible causes of such condition. She stumbled on a research paper that presented the Negative Effects of Soybean in Babies. This paper caught her attention because two days before the seizures began, she introduced Soybean into our baby's food formula (on a Doctor's recommendation). The article stated that Soybean inhibits the production of Trypsin which is very essential for infants and also triggers irregular impulse in the brain neurotransmitters thereby causing frequent seizures which, after a long period, could render the child epileptic. The paper added that the inhibition of Trypsin could lower the immune system (which could make doctors believe it to be an infection).

We immediately stopped feeding the baby with the formula but we didn't notify anyone of the finding to allow a continued treatment. By the following day, the seizures started fading and in just two days, it went away completely. We are still in awe with this discovery while we are very glad that the baby is back to normal life, but I felt - this might help someone someday.

HealthRe: Charles Oben: GSK Drug Turned A Healthy Banker Into A Monster by donodion(m): 9:42pm On Sep 12, 2015
Please pay attention to the following
It started when Charles who worked with the UBA was posted to Burkina Faso and in his usual meticulous self visited a Cardiologist for a routine check.
-Patient mobilized on his own and not wheeled in.
They found out that his urea level was high
-yet a medication with side effect (or could cause) HAEMATURIA was prescribedhuh
the drug Zyloric (manufactured by Glaxo Smithkline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals) was prescribed.
- who prescribed the medication?
However in less than 36 hours his life was turned into a living hell.
- Less than 2 days of taking medication as directed

As a healthcare provider, a self mobilizing client (or patient) on routine check up,however with abnormalties found in diagnostic test of say urine sample, what category of medication would you prescribe to treat or reverse abnormal findings?, step doses (such as effective, inexpensive, well-tolerated drugs that physicians regularly prescribe to treat common problems.) or High risk component medication with severe side effects such as Allopurinol?

Do you still assume no one should still blame having highlighted the scenario as above? shocked shocked shocked

HealthRe: Charles Oben: GSK Drug Turned A Healthy Banker Into A Monster by donodion(m): 11:09am On Sep 11, 2015
onatisi:
But normally the doctor that prescribed the drug should have carried out test to ascertain whether the drug is suitable for the man body system or not. You don't just prescribe powerful drugs anyhow to patients
i do strongly believe testing of prescription is not the sole responsibility of doctors.
With whom will he/she test the medication on?

Thats rest squarely on shoulders of pharmaceutical companies who rolls out medications and solutions.
However, dosages and prescriptions falls within the scope of doctors practises when prescribing for patients.

The doctor, the pharmacist and pharma company all have queries to answer.

Lol. It's possible she dropped out of med school in a class like 400l and has been practicing in small clinics where she learns stuffs from other doctors. It's possible she has a doc (she's very close to) who she asks for direction when she's stuck. It's also possible she just prescribes drugs to treat symptoms not diseases (e.g analgesics for pain, antibiotics for any infection etc).. there are a whole lots of possibilities. And you know the people that are quacks have usually had one encounter or the other with the health system, they are not entirely 'outsiders'.

And for the doctors you think are olodos, how are you sure they are not quacks and that they truly graduated and are licensed? Lol.

I can vouch for almost any doctor that graduated from a public university in Nigeria.
Thank you thank you and thank you again.thats why i said in my prev post she failed....there are so many failed medico students who liase with former coursemartes or seniors and today are "Major" in D and C grin grin, prescribing palliative treatment for every feverish symptoms...patient go get appendicitis, dem go say na malaria..oya...take panadol and chloroquine....for appendicitis o....over that patient might still be consuming fake medicine...imported from india...Oh....I miss Dora!
HealthRe: Fake Female Medical Doctor Apprehended In Abuja (Photo) by donodion(m): 3:27pm On Sep 06, 2015
Babalawoo:
Your point is flawed. Medical education in Nigeria and elsewhere is different from the conventional education. Medical students attend calls, see patients in clinics before the consultant (who assesses and scrutinizes their findings) sees, attend ward rounds where they are shown clinical examinations hands on etc Some schools like Unilorin even have models and mannequins for real time clinical skills.
Their exams are also very different. They have clinical exams which they do with real patients and they get to discuss their findings. AND NO MATTER YOUR SCORE IN THE OTHER ASPECTS OF THE EXAM, IF YOU SAY YOU'LL DO ANYTHING WHICH HAPPENS TO BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE PATIENT'S HEALTH, YOU'VE FAILED.
There are also always senior consultants from other teaching hospitals too during the exams. So, the standard cannot easily fall..
Gbosa!!! well laid out....he think say medicine na mills and boon.

they probably want to use her to "forensic" the Nigerians there using psychological methods.

all her qualifications are "all rounders":

Aside graduating in Law at the Spanish National University Alicante, she also holds a Master degree in Criminology, Masters degree in Social Education, a post graduate certificate in Tax and Labor Management, a post graduate certificate in Forensic Psychology, and a post graduate certificate in Immigration and Domestic Violence. She worked as a legal consultant (Immigration Department) at the Red Cross Society, Spain and presently owns a legal firm. She served as the CEO and President at the African Europe Chamber of Commerce . CEO/President at National Agency of Forensic Experts, Mediators and Technical Professionals of Spain and Europe.

anything left out there? I think she's covered it all.

All well meaning Nigerians, for the love of their children and the sake of their future, need to throw their weight behind this admin. Baba is indeed passionate about charting a new course for the collective emancipation of this country, salvaging it from those dark forces that have held it down for ages.

We had this consensus 90% of the problems we face in the country are symptomatic of the deep seated rot of corruption nurtured by successive administrations. These forces are trying hard, using all means legal and otherwise, to thwart the government's effort at cleansing the system of the rot which only benefits the elites. It pains me no end to see the youths who've no doubt borne the brunt of this incessant pillaging of our common patrimony defend these men so viciously- men whose abode as we speak should be nowhere but some dingy cell in a maximum security prison.

May God guide and protect Buhari as he carries on with this arduous task of rewriting the future path of this nation.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Be The Best President Nigeria Has Had Post 1999. by donodion(m): 5:18pm On Aug 26, 2015
Gbawe:
I will stake my name and reputation on my assertion that Buhari, by far, will be the best President Nigeria has had since our current elective democracy began in 1999. I have stated it many times that the President to deliver Nigeria would be an ascetic, principled, immaterialistic and very strong-willed individual who genuinely loves all Nigerians and is ready to give his all to them.

All Nigerians should patriotically get behind Buhari because you have never had a President who care for you and is ready to do his best to make sure you have better lives more than this man. Already, the quality of his decision-making, appointments, boldness and strategizing is obvious. Even hardcore Jonathanians, Tandroids and unrepentant Buhari haters will be behind the man in a years time.

To Diasporan Nigerians.

One of my associates was Sunny Ofili who is now deceased.

http://www.theneighbourhoodonline.com/news/othernews/3074-ofili%E2%80%99s-death-%E2%80%98very-painful%E2%80%99-delta-state-govt.html

I mention him because he was an intelligent and patriotic individual who was always insisting I come home to to do my bit in making Nigeria better. I never took him seriously because of the character of the Presidents we have had since 1999. I.e OBJ, Yar Adua and Jonathan. I will certainly get involved now under Buhari and I urge all other Nigerians in the diaspora, with unique ideas and something to contribute, to consider taking a leap of faith. I won't ask you to leave your diasporan base but I want you to take a greater interest in the administration of Nigeria. I say this because most of my friends in the UK are completely apathetic about Nigeria and cynically disinterested in the prospect of a great Nigeria because "we have heard it all before". All diasporan Nigerians need to do is commit to observing how Buhari is leading Nigeria. If you then see revolutionary decisions and changes Nigeria has never witnessed before then consider going home to contribute your expertise and skills which will help build a Nigeria our children will be proud of.

To all Nigerians.
I think it can be said that "enough is enough" in the case of Nigeria. "Prehistoric" does not even properly quantify the conditions Nigerians live under. We will begin witnessing real change shortly. I urge all Nigerians who want our nation to be great to put sentiments aside. Embrace patriotism and optimism because real and quantifiable progress is here. It is the kind every Nigerians will see and feel. In the end my message is that we should give Buhari a chance and give him our support. I am fairly sure he will not let Nigerians down.
I concur.

Fortunately, the opinions on here is not a true reflection of the wiser adult population on the streets.

If China can build a 40km, 6 lane bridge (with 27Km of it over deeper waters) in 4 years; the 11.8 km third mainland bridge (Lagos) was completed in roughly 3years by 'thieving' IBB, after OBJ abandoned the project in 1978.

Even the proposed fourth mainland bridge on more treacherous terrain, after inflation, is to cost far less per KM (depending on prevailing exchange rate) .

And we have some keyboard warrior kids who should be seeking knowledge and answers, blindly supporting an obviously 'overrrrr' inflated contract of a 2KM bridge practically taking forever to build.

It's sad. Honestly.
