Religion / Re: Where Are The Christians Who Act Like Christ ? by doofanc: 5:10pm On Nov 01, 2013 |
It seems the origin of the word "Christian" is lost on most of us, hence the semantic rigmaroling. Ref Acts 11:26. The basis one being a Christian is because he/she is Christlike. Hence for OP say one is a Christian but not behaving Christlike is oxymoronic. So its either one is a Christlike Christian or is not a Christian at all, his empty professions notwithstanding. |
Religion / Re: Is It Right To Have A Church In A Hotel? by doofanc: 4:14pm On Nov 01, 2013 |
Adikam: Church has very little to do with d physical edifice and more about d collection of saints (Christians). Moreover, Eph 2:20 in which u quoted, Paul was not refering 2 a physical building, but 2 people of Ephesus who had embraced d Gospel. You need 2 read it from verse 1 to understand better. |

Fynestboi: u hate when usher direct u to front seat? While some in here re complaining about been asked to leave front seat? Nawa oo such is life. the common prqctise is 4 d back rows to be filled, leaving d frnt row empty. but usually b4 Service starts, ushers will direct members to occupy the front seats. in some churches eg RCCG, the front seat is reserved 4 d new members. |

Politics / Re: Is COSCHARIS Culpable? by doofanc: 10:04pm On Oct 20, 2013 |
COSHARIS doesn't really have any case 2 answer, IMO. That d price is alleged 2 be rather on d high side isnt really thier fault. it was d job of NCAA to get competutive bids for d supply of d vehicles and provide cogent justification for the eventual winner. Whether that was done is another case altogether. the only area if culpability is if any allegatn of inducement or bribe by cosharis 2 get d contract were to arise. |

Osahon7: nicez point you have dere!!! I guess dat is where MDCN nd NMA politics comes in!! The other health professionals also have their own respective councils and associations that determine what is best for their members, NMCN, PCN, MLCN, etc. MDCN should concern itself only with what affects doctors. When other associations agitate for increase in salary, better professional standards, etc for their members, MCDN or NMA should cease from interfering. 4 Likes |

I recall when nurses were fighting for their right to internship, that was how these doctors protested. when the pharmacists started to implement the doctor Pharm D program, they (medical doctors) screamed to the high heavens. when the optometrists were also fighting for a similar degree program for their profession, these medical doctors vowed to resist with every drop of their blood. Ditto for the lab scientists and their quest for better professionalism in their field. what is the difference between a consultant that spent 15 years in training and a matron that has spent equal years also in training? Why shouldn't they be on the same pay?? 5 Likes |
Health / Re: Health Workers Call Off Strike by doofanc: 4:23pm On Aug 28, 2013 |
You guys should quit peddling this "they want to be equal with doctors" nonsense. It is HIGHLY irritating. The other health professionals are simply doing with them deem best for their profession and its furtherance. We are not trying to be like doctors!! |
