Romance › Re: My Experience Dating A Lady From Zimbabwe by Dshocker(m): 10:21am On Oct 04, 2021 |
Martinelli35: I am going to make this as brief as possible. I have noticed a trend with the reputation Nigerians seem to have with other Africans. I am currently dating a girl from Zimbabwe and we both are resident in England. The day I asked her out, she was initially a bit skeptical and told me her father had told her to avoid ending up with a Nigerian, I asked her why and she told me she had no idea.
We started dating and I began to get an idea of the reputation we had, obviously she was scared I had a wife and some kids back in Nigeria, I had to convince her that this was not the case and that I genuinely liked her.
Another time she told her friend from Zambia that she was dating a Nigerian and was told to be careful while dealing with me as a Nigerian. It’s not all bad though, obviously we also have a reputation of being smooth talkers, she told me that we Nigerians have a way with words and that can make us irresistible at times. Who else has experienced this? But you and i knows that you can't marry her and when the time comes, you will definitely find your Yoruba bride |

humurphia: I took interest in this girl on Instagram/ Tinder. She looks like a decent and cool headed girl for friendship.
After introducing ourselves and chatting for a while. I called the next week .we vibed a little and joked on the call like she wasn't a stranger.
Towards the ending of the call with her , she asked "what do i do for a living?"
This is someone i just met on the internet, and i feel bad vibes that this was part of the first set of questions she had to ask.
Is this an Airtel Red flag? Is she genuine or is she likely to be only about the money? Or was she trying to make a conversation ? Brother na street/hustling girls dey Tinder |
Romance › Re: Can You Marry Someone Who Was Introduced To You By Another Person? My Experience. by Dshocker(m): 5:09pm On Oct 02, 2021 |
7victor: My experience is this:
One Igbo woman saw me and asked to know whether I was married or not.
I answered in the negative.
She said as a lecturer, what is keeping me from marrying since federal government is paying us well?
I told her I am praying to God about it.
She said she is a pastor and she believed God was prompting her to find me a wife.
She said she would introduce me to a very good lady whom I would really enjoy as wife.
It was not quite 3 hours later when she sent someone to call me to see the lady.
To my utter astonishment, she introduced me to one elderly woman who is from Kaduna.
It was as much as I could do not to show my astonishment.
After the old woman left, I told her I would prefer someone younger who is Igbo.
She said age doesn't matter in marriage.
I told her I am in my early thirties and how can I even marry someone who is 40, let alone someone who is above 50?
It is my idea that the woman she introduced to me is her long time friend and age mate. She herself(ie the woman who introduced someone) has big children who are all in the University and polytechnic.
She insisted that love, and not age, is what matters in matter.
As for marrying an Igbo woman, she said no Igbo woman will ever condescend so low as to marry a Calabar man.
She said she is an Igbo woman so she knows her tribe very well.
I made her understand that my cousin is Calabar and is married to an Igbo beauty queen.
I mentioned up to 6 Calabar men I personally know who are married to Igbo.
She said an Igbo lady can only marry a Calabar man if maybe she has a problem(like mental problem) which makes people to reject her,
to the extent that it is only a Calabar man that she would finally condescend to marry.
She was just insulting my tribe.
I told her that the former governor of Akwa Ibom, and the present minister of Niger Delta is a Calabar man married to Igbo woman.
[Modified: Please note that people call those from Akwa Ibom and Cross river "Calabar". That is my observation.]
My idea now is that I can never accept any woman brought by this woman,
because she will never give me something good. Any woman she brings must be low because she believes that low women fit Calabar men.
She said if I don't like that other Kaduna woman, she would introduce me to another woman.
But I know on a high state of conviction that she will not bring someone good to me because of the way she looks down on my tribe.
She doesn't believe my tribe can marry someone better.
Please share your experience. Laugh wan kill me with this your post |

Politics › Re: El-Zakzaky: Nigerians Would Prefer Islamic Rule by Dshocker(m): 10:29am On Oct 01, 2021 |
habsydiamond: In some way he is right.. With all the atrocities happening on daily basis if all these bandits, bokoharams, thieves, kidnappers, and assassins are killed immediately after being caught may be that can reduce crime in this country.. And if a hand I'd being cut off all because of embezzlement maybe that can reduce the cat of corruption among our leaders.. If one scrotum is removed from a rapist maybe it will reduce the act. If one breast is being cut off from that of a married woman for having extra marital affair and one scrotum from the man may be it Will reduce it.... If one hand is removed maybe it will reduce cyber crime, maybe if two fingers are cut off, examination malpractices will reduce some goes for bribe collection. Only God knows what can stop all these acts.... NB. I am never in support of Islamic rule for this country.. If u look at it from another perspective u will see that the states on Islamic rule have the major problems in this country ranging from high poverty rate, Ghost workers under govt, using of minors for elections, most populated area in the country, most disease combating areas in the country.. The problem now is that these people's problems are gradually becoming a problem for everyone cos they they are no longer committing these atrocities in their states anymore, they have taken it to other region which is not good for everyone. If a bandit, kidnapper or bokoharam, herdsmen is being killed for their actions instead of being pardoned I don't see anything bad in that oo but as for El Zakasay or whatever he is being called he can never get that chance.. So he should just forget it I don't blame you,i blame your parents |
