A LOT better than the former one. This one just needs a better logo. |
Not that I care really, its not oxygen. Its highly unprofessional to slam that response and lock the thread. Be open to suggestions. Just cuz its 3 people talking about it don't mean its just 3 people who have a problem with it. I can't vouch for your programming abilities but EVERY serious programmer who posts codes on Nairaland has a a problem with codes rendering into smilies. Again, I really don't care much and I won't be making this thread if not for the OP who started it and how I think your response is going to make him feel. The thread is: https://www.nairaland.com/1076186/seun-please-add-highlight-plugin Lock this one join. |
^^ Yea I agree with your points. Yea macquee stuff is an old school stunt tht should be deprcated. Meanwhile the rate at which Greenmouse don dey build sites, EFCC probe won't be out of place. ![]() |
Nice features and hope to see Voguepay implement 'em. Here's my take on this one: nigeriantalent:This goes against the laws of scalability. You need 3 users now, what about the future? I have worked with many payment gateways and I have not seen anyone with this kind of setup. Not that it is impossible but it is too specific. Developers strive to keep payment gateway APIs as generic and as traditional as possible with a simple-to-understand documentation. In my opinion you're better off asking for Voguepay to provide APIs for fund transfers (if they don't have them already). If there are such fund transfer APIs (which will truly be beneficial to all) then, on successful payment into your voguepay account you can have your developers work out the whole percentage going to who... on the code level and call the fund transfer APIs to transfer so so so amount to so so so voguepay account... all this from your own code's end, not the payment gateway. |
At least they attempted something and failed (and have hopefully learned from it). Ask yourself as a person what things you have attempted in life and failed and what lessons you have learned from the failures. Behind most successes there have been iterations of failed attempts. |
Nice. The Cove Gas logo on the reduse disposal truck looks fake and that's a bad sign if I was a potential investor in the company for me to get to a site and I'm made to think they are "photoshoping" their logos on stuff. |
AFOLSNETWORKS: I wish u Patience and Good luckThis is a very classic thing to say in Nigeria now, irrespective of any situation. ![]() Egift, sorry about the issues you are having. Are you saying you got this reply from them after your files/sites allegedly disappeared : "contact your web developer to redesign your site". I find that hard to comprehend but maybe we can only get to the bottom of things by hearing from their end... which may never happen. When a service provider is causing more damage to your online investments than good you should think of moving on to something else. Use Google to search for a reputable host that will fit your needs. Web services could go down for several reasons some of which are beyond the control of your host. However most issues are avoidable or less felt if handled with some experience. In the spirit of wishes I wish you 99.9% uptime with your next host. |
Weldone. The site could use some more organization on the homepage, better color blend and a good deal of high quality images that are not stretched to fit their frames. |
The site: intofarm.com I have tumbled Google for just one bad review or experience about these guys but none (Except for the ones complaining that they no longer accept STP, that's not really a bad review). All I see is people posting evidence of their payments received via liberty reserve. Well one disturbing thing is that all the people posting earnings are the free mini farm people so earnings are terribly low...like 40 usd per month. So my question, has anyone here invested in this site? I see a lot of people here with their intofarm referral links, however I am not looking for people who are "investing" with the free 10 USD they got when they registered... looking for reviews from people who have invested 400 USD upward. The 400 USD farm is the second highest level. |
^^^ You see the smiley that brings out its head in your code? Check stackoverflow's formatting for an idea of what the [code] tag should be like. Line numbers useful too. |
Contact your host. Its not just your site that was hacked on their server. The following sites are on the same server too and were hacked (truncated list): 2012/10/14 fgis.com.ng 2012/10/14 midwestmicrofinance.org 2012/10/14 dream925fm.com 2012/10/14 www.goblinandcoal.com 2012/10/14 www.africawln.org 2012/10/05 africangrantmakersnetwork.com 2012/10/05 africangrantmakersnetwork.net 2012/10/02 www.ctourism.oy.gov.ng/n00b.html 2012/10/02 cyberhackerz.in/index.php 2012/09/30 ebenhaezeracademy.co.za No wonder how I take get the info o, when you drink from the same beer with bad people like slyr0x you inevitably learn some bad things like how to find out all sites that were hacked on a server. ![]() Hopefully your host will have backups in place that they can restore the accounts with while they investigate. These hackers are a menace. |
chidi500: Hello guru.what is your opinion on resent progress and ranking report of www.hostlinker.com.If you do not learn to crawl before flying your big dreams as you have stated above may never be realised. PS: Hostlinker.com is ranked 2,048,889 in the world and has no Local ranking in Nigeria so its not on the NG rankings for Alexa... that's more like #0 in NG than the claimed #1. Rather than spending time creating ridiculous threads filled with falsehoods and intentional deception expend this energy in making your site a more welcoming front and you just might get the traffic you craze for. |
Why don't you create your developer network across the different states in the country and create a site with a list of all of them (and their contact details) categorized by state. |
The whole thing isnt appealing, I can't be specific... everything just does not appeal to me. Maybe because lots of items are yet to be added to the store. All the best. Take the advice these people give you. |
netghost: You lack proper I.T reasoning , i still do not understand why some myopic reasoning programmers tend to believe that opensource is just another way of saying a tool is unstable, regardless of the technology you apply when developing an application, open or close , the security or stability of the app or website is only as good as the programmers knowledge...The difference between opensource and closedsource (custom coding): Zero-day exploits. And as Webdezzi has stated. A zero day exploit will conveniently be used to change the internet banking link on the homepage of that site to point to a phishing site. It does not matter if it takes Joomla 30 minutes to fix a zero-day exploit and if it takes GTBank 10 seconds to apply the patch. 30 minutes, 10 seconds is enough time to have tunneled a good number of innocent internet banker's info into a phishing site's database. |
What serious Bank will resort to an opensource script (Joomla)? Is opensource not about less expenses and more security risks? Well, thank goodness this site is different from its internet banking interface. https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/683/8415115877.png In this age and time, what quality/usability testing passed this table below to go live? https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/683/0616445446.png The search is terrible https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/683/1413700917.png Is this the wisest use of this space? https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/683/3202013513.jpg How SEO more unfriendly could one get with these type of URLs: http://www.gtbank.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=10&Itemid=118 I could go on but time is money (especially this time of the day). In all I would say the site is just a candy coated dirty job. The graphic design team just had their weeks of hardwork blown by the Joomla boys toying around with plugins. |
Geeky: @ Ekumahost thumbs up! Be prouding of your zelve. Leave people like Dhtml who can not be prouding of themzelves to be fainting and dieing anytime somebody have show their international web design skills!Stop wasting your Nairaland handle. Do you even know the responsibility behind the names you choose as usernames? |
ekumahost: from Ekumahost.com i have build a system like this and you may look atAll you have done is list the features of the FREE script "Houses for Sale Flint mi3 1.2" http://download.softwaretipspalace.com/Windows/Web-Development/ASP-PHP/Houses-for-Sale-Flint-mi_1985.html So the question is... when you say "I have built".... were you the one that built that? Don't answer (at least, not aloud). |
afam4eva: I also thought about this too... But you can serve as the middleman. Build it in such a way that the both parties will not meet. So, there's be a need for them to keep coming back. But doing this will mean that you'll have more responsibilities. soloqy: Also how to vet users. Its amazing what goes on here. How someone who doesnt know some basic things in web design/css can post ads and solicit for web design jobs(also claiming to be one of the best), is something I cant fathom. You two want to join in making this work? |
I have been thinking of developing a freelancing site but the single problem that keeps stalling that idea is the target audience: Nigeria. People will very likely bypass the whole process and deal with the developer outside the system once contact is established. |
ghettodreamz: Day dreamingNa, its happening in Nigeria right now with Trae and lady. http://www.traedays.com/blog/2012/09/how-to-survive-a-road-accident-2/ |
^^ You drink last night? This one you don dey mix threads up. |
Ok, thanks to the FF screenshot app I didnt waste up to 5 minutes. In the two screenshots below look at the occurrence of the number 08099534026 See an old post from the Ndioyen. https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/676/4929113937.png See an old post by Olamathins https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/676/3835197881.png Dude just get lost, you're too foolish for this section. Go to Politics. |
ndioyem: Guy thanks. Somebody had told me the same thing b4 but argued with him.Time to expose some foolishness here. The OP and Ndioyem are same person. BRB with some screenshots....cant believe I am wasting 5 minutes on this. |
@OP if you can't post a link to back up this your baseless claims, just get lost. Someone has asked you for a link, save everybody's time and show what you got. Its very likely you are confusing a different technique with encryption. Encryption has its uses and it is never used to block source code from being viewed by the browser. Source codes can never be blocked from a browser and a user who view's source... one can only make things difficult for a human reader to view a source code by obfuscation not encryption. If your browser cannot see a source code it cannot present you with the contents you desire. If your site can be loaded by a browser, the browser can see the html source. If a browser can see a source, a user can see that source. |
sisqology: Dualcore! If no JS browser nkoIf you are on a browser that doesn't support JS its most likely you are so backward in technology that working with you will be a problem for me so I'd rather not want you to contact me. The "you" here no be you o. ![]() akintayo1: what you got there to me is nothing but a sign board with empty information not every visitor would notice the window start button at the bottom.try make your information visible at the landing page.don't get high with me,just my opinion huh!Nice point you can slap DHTML for that though cuz I can remember some years back I had a "Click here" beside that start button and he suggested I removed it . But really... I'm liking it that way, the "site" is serving its purpose. Again, if your IQ no tell you sey the start button you see there suppose lead to menu then its very likely you are so backward in technology that working with you will just be a pain for me. Again, the "you" here no be you o. ![]() |

Most host service providers do not allow bulk mailing on their shared hosting plans so you should be looking to get a VPS for this if you want to do it yourself. |
Don't be too fast on a road you are not used to. Potholes don't just appear so you should know where they are on the roads you are used to and you can think ahead before approaching them. However there's no fixed formular as to what to do if one meets a pothole at that speed. Use all your senses and be able to make rational decisions in split seconds and take the branch with the least amount of possible damage. If you are unable to make such quick decisions at such short notice you should stick with 60km/h. You'll get there still... only a few minutes later...but you'll get there alive. |
Contact your webhost with this issue. They are the ones with access to the server, they can investigate. |
ActiveMan: don't make reference to their competitor they always feel you are be paid to destroy their payment platform. When MTN is ef'd up, a consumer can compare it to Etisalat. Its not my business what they feel. I tell it like it is, with zero sentiments. |
databoy247: @Dual Core, why dont you just stick to the market leader instead of "managing" someFor business I strive to be consistent. The reason I can't just drop Eyowo and go for something else in a heart's beat is that it will break the consistency of the payment process for customers. Customers generally hate change in the way things work and when you have to start presenting them with a totally different payment interface to remit their money they can be apprehensive. The reason I have endured Eyowo this far is because it is a startups company and especially because to date, Eyowo's payment user interface is the simplest interface that customers are presented with for payment. This can only happen in the western world not in Nigeria.
