Have you checked the information? What you did was the same day of appointment which is the same thing i am saying. In addition, i'll like to see the information from TLS that says irrespective of your appointment date/time as i have highlighted.(it will be very helpful to the house) Honestly, we should take out time to confirm the information before responding though...You need that type of culture for your studies Cheers Youngee34: No, flexi means you can come any day during the business hours for your appointment.
Irrespective of your appointment date/time.
I remember I did it last year with my uncle, I applied for visa on the same day at ikeja, paid for flexi appointment and went straight in with my uncle for my biometrics. |

Flexi means you can arrive at the Visa Application Centre at any time during opening hours on the day of your appointment. Not before your appointment: Check the link on how to pay for that, i think it is on the day of your appointment. So you have to get your appointment day first Ref link: https://pos.tlscontact.com/abv_en/added-value-services;Cheers chiwelaw: Please mimilyrics,
Does it mean even if my biometrics appointment is in September I can go any day before that day for my biometrics with my family and be attended to as long as I have paid for flexi? Please how do I pay or at what point do I pay for the flexi? I want to be double sure of this Thank you |

No it isn't.. You will be told that at the NIN appointment. The only thing is some companies and agents are bent on you receiving in your NIN while some are okay with the reference letter. same with what@mimilyrics said.. Cheers Kingp91: This isnt against any rule ba? |

Hello, The rate used will be the rate on the day you made your application( that is the day the visa fees and IHS was made). Cheers Luseyi: Happy new month All, pls is it the rate of the first day of the 28days that is used or the day of printing the statement? Reason is my family needs £37,495 and I had deposited #19M which was over the #18.2M I got when I usee the exchange rate of the day I started counting. However, I lodged in some additional 2M after 5 days just to cushion the effect of the exchange rate.So I really don't know if I should continue counting or start from the day I added another #2M |

Hi @Kingp91,
I think what @mimilyrics is saying is that your answers to Pre CAS interview (for those in that stage) or the main interview (Visa stage) should be very specific and detailed. For example if you are asked ' Why did you choose this school or course for you masters degree', a generic answer will be defining what education or postgrad education or masters degree is. That shows the person either isn't prepared or not a genuine student.
Be straight forward and give detailed evidence ' so a better answer will be for e.g i chose the school because of the track record in being top?? Uni or my course is affiliated with XYZ organisation' or the school has a strong research culture ' etc
There are links on preparing for interviews on youtube, have a look, prepare and be confident.
Cheers |

Hi, No, if there is , it will be clearly stated and there is no risk for refusal as long as you meet up with all the necessary documentation There's no express booking on TLS. Which ever centre is closer to you and that you can get a booking. It is the same process in all centre (Abuja or Lagos) Try to avoid listening to hearsay chiwelaw post=92296844[b: ]Please is there any update from UK embassy that dependents can't apply at once due to rush? Do they risk refusal if they apply at once? Please I need urgent response on this cos I want to apply and someone is telling me this.
Is there any clue of booking an Express date at tls? Is it better to go to Abuja centre? Thank you |

What school please? You are still using the UCAS system. Apply directly or send an email to the school and request the link for direct application. UCAS system is best known for undergraduate application service and easier if you did your college in the UK, it helps track results and matching same with Universities and choices etc .. Request for a link through your prospective schools admission office. Cheers Iyanu6000: Thank you but one of the requirements of the school is UCAS should be 120 points. |

Hi, Apply directly to the school rather than through UCAS so you don't get things mixed up Cheers Iyanu6000: Good Morning,
I need your guidelines please, so I am 27 years old, I have my first degree in Agric Economics. I would like to go for a second degree in Nursing, my dad is willing to sponsor me, however I keep seeing schools asking for UCAS points, I really don’t understand, I just booked for IELTS so I get that part, I don’t understand the UCAS part.
I have read online too, I am seeing A Levels...what I have is just WAEC
Please can someone be kind enough to assist me to explain.
I will appreciate |

1. Before Visa application, bank statement is part of your documents to submit 2. 1st year tuition plus maintenance Answers are usually genuine Cheers Acuna91: Hello pros in the house
The maintenance + school fees money will be in your account for 28 days before which application? Visa application? Or your actual interview date?
Also for someone that is applying for a two years masters, is it also compulsory to show both IST year and 2nd year tuition together?
Please anybody that have a genuine answer should help with a response. Thanks |

I said same, with lots of references, her application was in March but put on hold, she started panicking about her maintenance funds not being enough, i told her the exchange rate will be referred back to March and not July even though her statement is recent (July). She had about 3M in her account. The date of application is the one on the form right? garuskoko: You are very correct, it is the date of application that is shown on the application form. |

I tell you... I recently had an argument with a friend who is applying for her tier 4, she said the reference exchange rate in the UK visa office is the day of Biometric submission, i argued that it is the date of application which is stated in the form. I made references and she didn't buy it. What do you think? cerezo: Folks, please pay attention to this: https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ it could cost you your application fee and the time investment. It's been on the rise since July 20th. Your focus should be on buying GBP and "Ask" section. If it's getting too close, add some thousands to top up. |

About quarantine measures, speak with your school and see how they can help, some schools may have temporary accommodation you can use for the 14days perhaps at a reduced price compared to hotels, and with no further contract after the quarantine period so you can leave. Another option is an affordable Air B n B (using your schools postcode as a search location), i am sure there will be guidance on Air B n Bs too. On general accommodation, alot of links have been given here if you go through previous threads; rightmove, zoopla, openrent, gumtree etc. The advice is to have a look for what suits your budget before you leave, send emails or call the landlords or agents directly(inform them that you aren't in the country yet and try to stall abit till you arrive the UK to physically view the accommodation) and if satisfied then pay. To reduce the torture of seeing the accommodation you like being taken, look through a couple of weeks before leaving. An extra tip is to double check the distance of the accommodation to your prospective schools so you can save on transport and remember to read through the rental agreement and ask questions on anything you aren't comfortable with. Others can add... Cheers bayosegun: Can some people already in UK give us hints on how to secure accommodation (outside campus), hotel booking etc because of this quarantine measures. Your contributions will be highly appreciated |

How is it a big deal?? What difference will it make, they will say she should have deferred her course to take care of the baby. Not much of an excuse to some stern schools to be honest. What school is yours again @trishvik1 Oloshi83: I have spotted some decent advice already but if what you’re saying about having a baby around the same time is true, I don’t know how else to say this but make sure you emphasise it because that is a BIG deal.

Hello, I think everyone has given bits and pieces of advice that you can put together..Again, you need to sort out everything pending in your current school, that includes resitting your dissertation module (if it is the case ) and completing the mandatory training. I think you will be allowed to apply for extension. I think the worst case apart from a Pass is to receive a Certificate of Attendance for your Masters degree if you don't meet up with any grade. When the road is clear you can begin to consider doing a second masters. trishvik1: Thank you i have written the school and awaiting reply. you no how anxious one can get in things like this thats why i brought it here so other people can share their experiences with me. we learn everyday and there is no too of it. While I gather more info here I will await my school 's decision on the mandatory training. thank you |

If you stay back after PSW without securing a job..you will be classified as an illegal overstayer. The goal is to get a job way before the PSW expires. Once you show up to relocate at the airport na straight deportation to Naija plus Ban. The aim is to switch to a tier 2 job during PSW Goddys: Thank you very much for your deep analysis. Please does it worth it staying back after PSW has expired just to earn some money, repay the loan and relocate to another country cuz I'm 100% certain that my course of study cannot get me a job in UK. Hi Dreamer, Please double check your free accommodation and be clear on that..it says for this academic year, which is just 3months left (Sept- Nov) before the christmas break and a new academic year begins in January. The Phoenix award Gold is 2000GBP deduction from tution fee , the silver is 1000GBP deduction and Bronze 500GBP as well..confirm that also. If you are going on the EU trip with Phoenix, you will still need to pay some additional cost for hotel and visa process, however it will be less than other students not signed on with Phoenix. What course are you going for at 9k? please double check these things. Not to spoil your excitement, i just noticed this. Dreemerr: My course is 4 semester entirely, gotten 3 semester free accomodations and free travel trip to Europe, then tuition cost 9k per year.got 4k for this year. |

I am guessing you are saying you have a tier 4 visa and gave birth in the UK right? If so,you only need to apply for a tier 4visa for your baby if you leave the UK and need to re- enter.(e.g travel or end of study). As for passport, you can begin that process now if the Nigerian Embassy is opened or when you need to return. For passport, check on the website for Nigerian Embassy link and the process. For Visa same process like tier 4 child dependant Note that, alot of applications are now allowed whilst in the UK because of COVID, double check and confirm because policies are changing everyday. Cheers Agieee: Hello everyone in the house,
As tier 4 visa and gave birth here in the UK, please I want to know if I will apply for my baby visa as dependant and when is the appropriate time to apply. However, my baby did not have passport yet.
Please can anybody tell me what to do and how to go about it.
Thank you. |
