Hi,

I think you might have ran out of time, you are supposed to upload and submit all documents 24hrs before your appointment.
As others have proposed ,you will have to go with your entire documents and pay for assisted service tomorrow.

Cheers

OluAjo:
Thank you for replying.

When i upload all the documents and click on 'DONE'.
It takes me back telling me 'no documents has been uploaded'.

I don't know what is wrong.
My appointment is tomorrow.

Hi,

Is your masters degree in any education/academic related field? A career in academia doesn't necessarily equate to staying back for a PhD.

PhD simply makes you an expert in your research field and not all of them end up in academia, some are still back with the industry.

You should try to tie your masters degree to prospects in your current career with a view of going into research later on not as the main goal.
If your interview was for PhD I will agree but remember the questions are on your reason for a master's.

This is talking about your short term goals(why masters and your career) with a hint to perharps a long-term goal(staying for PhD).

Cheers

Mobilipia:
I intend to continue with my PhD immediately after my masters, I want a career in academia, should I mention my intention? I don't want to lie in my application.I'm yet to see anybody with this intention. Hope it won't ruin my visa chance.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by duchess90(f):
COV is the short form for Coventry,No they won't make enquiries from the bank.if anyone would it will be UKVI

2.As long as your maintenance funds are intact ,all you need to do is print a recent statement whenever your CAS comes out and you are ready for your visa

Cheers

Fwaz:
It seems Coventry didnt make enquiry from my bank regarding the statement... it was a recent statement I sent all this while. With the way things are going right now in Nigeria, I doubt if after presenting a 28days bank statement one can still used it to apply for visa..my reasons are before your school issue you with CAS, it might have pass 31st from the day the statement starts reading not printing date.

But someone here said you can still use the same bank statement for visa application within 30days from the day of printing.. I guess that what you meant from your last statement?

Please what do you mean by COV below?
This will help you use the same statement you printed for COV for your visa as well if your application is between now and 30days
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by duchess90(f): 3:43pm On Aug 12, 2020
Hi Fwaz,

I think what they are asking for is pretty clear, these are documents that are required regardless of when your fees were paid,

In addition, try to submit a more recent statement that covers till 12th August , because you need to submit the statement within 30days of printing it and 15th August is almost here

This will help you use the same statement you printed for COV for your visa as well if your application is between now and 30days

Remember to have all pages stamped.

Cheers

Fwaz:
Second message

Thank you for submitting your documents.

You have demonstrated you have maintained more than sufficient funds however:

Bank statements have to be stamped and signed on all pages.

This is the second to the last massage below

Thank you for submitting your financial evidence.

The bank statement shows sufficient funds but period June 17th – July 14th only shows 27 days of tranactions. Therefore we are unable to approve this document

Example

17th June – 15th July would suffice.

Please provide updated documents. A letter from your bank confirming funds held for 28 days will suffice but must display the below;

• Must have your name

• Must show account number

• Must show bank’s name and logo

• Must show date of letter

• Must show the amount of money in the account

• Must show that you have held enough money in your account every day for at least 28 days.

• Letter must be less than 31 days old on the date of online application

Alternatively, If submitting a Bank statement.

• Must have your name and address

• Must show account number

• Must show bank’s name and logo

• Must show date of statement

• Must show that you have held enough money in your account every day for at least 28 days.

• Must show the transactions, and the closing balance after each transaction.

• If you are using an electronic bank statement, it must be stamped on every page by the bank.

• Statement must be less than 31 days old on the date of online application

author=Youngee34 post=92735806]Exactly!
That's why I'm really confused as to why the bank statement was rejected, since he had everything checked.

Except if he just didn't have sufficient funds throughout the 28days

@Elff Hello,

You have to inform Coventry on your change of course. They will reissue you another CAS which might take a while.

Note that Coventry won't let you change courses when you have resumed. So it's better to inform them now or stick to the course you chose.

ELff:
I have received my CAS but i desire a change of course. Please what are my options. I am going to Coventry University.

The question is not whether to use an immigration lawyer or not. Have the situation that made you result to using a sponsor with a fake tax clearance changed.

If so, 1. Do you have admission 2. Do you have the necessary tuition funds and maintenance 3. Have you gotten your CAS and started processing other relevant documents like TB etc.

We don't advice using lawyers or agents here, if you are SINCERE this time, you can do it by yourself. Be ready to address the BAN situation too

Cheers

Did you speak with the International Office team? have you met up with any pending documents?

Not to defend them, there is usually a very high volume in COV. However, ensure nothing is pending. There is whatsapp forum for prospective students, are you part of it?

Hello,

Yes you should be able to. make sure you still go along with the evidence of self submission and inform them of the omission and the need to include it at TLS

Remember you will have to pay the full fee even if it is one document omitted (unless things have changed)

Cheers

Hello,

Coventry will request for evidence of funding (if you are self sponsored then yes your 28-30days bank statement).

You can't proceed with your application because details of your CAS are needed for it.

Hi

Well referenced and quoted from the GOV.UK link... I can imagine how well you will do at your assessment and thesis grin

Cheers

TheGuyFromHR:
Yes, you can, as duchess90 has confirmed. I did so with my GTBank statement.
Here's the relevant extract from page 20 of the document at the link she cited:

"If you wish to submit electronic bank statements from an online account, these must contain all of the details listed above. In addition, you will need to provide a supporting letter from your bank, on company headed paper, confirming the authenticity of the statements provided. Alternatively, an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement".

Mosopea:
hello house,

Please i have a few questions that i would really like to ask the house on how to answer these question:

1) The question who is sponsoring you?My elder brother in the UK paid my full tuition fees but my husband sent the total living expenses for 4 of us to my account. My school stated that i should mention that its my husband that is sponsoring me (something about not wanting to show that i have someone in the uk). Could this be an issue during the visa interview?

2) We intend to stay with my brother for the 2 weeks quarantine then look for a place closer to school as the landlord we called are asking for my BRP and visa which i dont have yet. How should i answer the question where do you intend to stay in the UK?

3) The documents we have now are: Int'll passports, TB certs, Marriage Cert, NPC Birth Certs for the kids, my personal bank statement, Our rent receipts here in Nigeria, Tenancy Agreement, Photos, Whatsapp/FB messages. Please what other document do i need to upload?

Thankfully, alot of people have been giving updates on slots here..see how you can catch that and book

Hi,

You should be able to see timeslots under the dates.i think they are usually sort of orange in color. Those are the ones you should look out for and click on if it shows up.

They seem to come in randomly as people have said ..keep checking

Cheers

Docuzor:
Who is online.

How do I know if a date is free on the TLS network.

I'm seeing dates with ash coloured box and seeing the ones written sold.

I'm clicking on both, nothing is happening.

Well, I prefer to go with the right information I can make reference to than reality because with the information if anything goes wrong I have my rights.

Technically I wasn't wrong but you said I was dead wrong and I was patiently waiting to learn and see if you had a policy or link to back your claim.

Again @youngee34 addressed me as 'Woman!' not to sound feminist but that is outrightly rude.

All the same we move on

mattfeuter:
Yes , that’s the information on their website but the reality is, you can have an appointment for a day and “walk in” at an earlier date.

Most likely because of corona, so many things have been relaxed.

The UK immigration border won't need to check your CAS, your visa is enough. The most important thing is notifying your school and getting your visa.

Cheers

HerMoney:
I appreciate your response but I don't quite understand you're saying. I was asking whether the UK immigration at the border will allow entry to the UK when your start date has passed. But I assume that if they approve the visa seeing the start date on the CAS, then it won't be a problem to travel.

Right, I'm back to ask questions, please bear with me.
Work is over, I'm back to this frustrating TLS thing.

Not quiet clear on this, you want to do a double booking and attend both? Since you are applying with your dependants at the same time, you are all expected to book in the same venue. What happens to the second booking? Not really sure of what you mean though.

Not sure the system will allow you, if your records are in one venue you probably can't attend any other venue to be honest. I know we are all desperate to get a booking and an early one, please try to avoid complicating things

Cheers

TheGuyFromHR:
Thank you, dduchess.
Can I also ask another question - (I'm going with dependents) is it possible to book an appointment at say, V.I. for myself, then maybe Ikeja for my wife, and then we attend the earlier of them with the children and pay the flexi fee?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by duchess90(f): 7:29am On Aug 04, 2020
Hi,

Yes the way back to the TLS site is through the Gov.UK using your sign-in detail you started with in your application.

When you log in and scroll down the last part, it has the section 'provide biometrics and documents' or something like that,if you click on it , it takes you to TLS

I think this is the new norm, even when you finish your visa application, tracking your application will be through the Gov.UK. same route but instead of 'book or amend ' on the page, it will be 'track

Not to confuse you..finish with the visa application first

Cheers

TheGuyFromHR:
Thank you, at last!
One more thing - do you know how I can actually log in to the TLS site with a GWF number or something like that?
I woke up now and tried to refresh, but apparently I can only log into the TLS service selection area if redirected from the Gov.Uk site, and I cannot get that to happen no matter how I retry. There is no actual area for logging in on the TLS site, even though it keeps asking me to do so.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by duchess90(f): 5:58am On Aug 04, 2020
Hi,
Alot of people are experiencing same, they can't seem to find slots on TLS. Like others have said, keep checking, perharps also check at odd hours.

The rush plus lack of slots could be the reason.

Cheers

Hi,

I think the issue of bank statement has been broadly discussed. Please find the link for the guidance document on Tier 4 guidance. Use the search button and go to 'tier 4 ' or bank statement' or maintenance funds'

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/843003/T4_Migrant_Guidance_October_2019.pdf

Read through and see if it helps.

This guide is for visa application, some schools require bank statement before issuing your CAS so you have to factor that in too.

Cheers

Please I need some clarifications on the application process, at the moment, I do not have my CAS dox. yet. I'd like to know the following:

1. Do I wait to receive my CAS document before I go for my TB test or can I book it in anticipation?

2. Can I begin my Student visa on-line application while awaiting these document.

The last question is can someone help me understand better in simple terms, how long your funds are to be in your bank account in relation to when you should apply, I dont'quite understand the 28days/31days matter.

Everything you see on the checklist are as a result of the details you put in your application. if it is included, your best bet is to provide it.

If your parents are sponsoring you, you could in addition to their statement and your birth certificate provide a letter saying they are sponsoring your studies, with their signature. You could go a step further to notarize this letter (not compulsory).

Cheers

pittoilet:
Thank you very much. I am actually in the middle of applying (declaration tab to be precise), just to make payment left. Also, I saw a letter of sponsor on the document checklist to be submitted. Some of the services have also been modified thanks to corona virus so it’s just wise to follow the link and read what each service offers now. There used to be a service that allows you walk in without an appointment at all. I doubt this service will be available during these times. Best bet is to refer to the website jejely to read current information instead of assuming things will be what they were last year
