Hello Donracy, @mimilyrics already responded but let me ask you. have you driven a RHD(Right Hand Drive) in the UK before?. I'll give you my own advice based on experience.Even if you get an international driver's license,if you don't know how to drive a RHD or have never driven in the UK and don't know the road signs, speed limit or even how to use a SatNav trust me you will have so much fine to pay the international license will be as good as useless. If you break the rules and get points on your license, your insurance will be way too high, plus you can have a 6points penalty and have your international license revoked if you aren't careful. Advice: When you get into the UK, apply for provisional license, get your lessons done( target block lessons), pass your theory and practical test. Do them from the scratch and save yourself the stress. The only difference is that you don't need the learn somethings that learners without experience do like parts of a car etc. But driving in the UK is as good as learning from the beginning. Cheers Donracy: Are you saying that the international drivers license expires after one year? |

For example :Emirates requires COViD test within 96hrs from when the sample was taken ,they also have a list of hospital/lab for it. Cheers rs172: Good morning guys, hope the weekend us going fine?
I want to ask, if there is any information regarding Covid19 test certificate for travelling |

Hello Fwaz, This is understandable, if your school is implementing hybrid then that should be alright. Your course date will remain same, difference is you are starting online, this you can address in your cover letter and it should be alright. Can I ask if there is another date that has been advised for you to resume physical studies? That should be your cue for when you would likely arrive the UK when making your visa application. You have to work closely with the school because hybrid processes are different, double check the dates and your application and allow them advice on how you will proceed Cheers Fwaz: Thanks duchess90... My main concern is that my course will be starting 7 September, even if I said I will arrive UK by 5th or 6th September, the chances of getting a visa before those dates is only when I opt for priority or super priority.. I read somewhere that UKVI will be considerate due to pandemic. I will be starting the course online so I thought maybe I can choose a date after the course start date and go with standard visa. Do you think the ECO will have any doubt? Please do you suggest I stick to a date before the course start date? What if I indicate that I'm starting the course online and I choose to arrive UK after a month?
NOTE: getting a biometric date is another thing on its own.maybe that's why the latest resumption date was extended till February.i read here that walk in isn't available in some Visa centers |

Hello, You are allowed to arrive the UK 3,months before the start of your course. To avoid high cost of living people opt for a month to a few weeks before their course start date. This decision is entirely up to you. Your reference date shouldn't be your latest resumption date please. That is you already walking on thin egg shells. Vignette for now is 90days but that could also change so make sure you stay informed. Cheers Fwaz: Please my course start date is 07/09/2020 and my latest resumption date is 01/02/2021.. I'm about applying for a visa, is it advisable to choose a later date as when I plan to arrived in the Uk.. thinking of November or December 0r should I stick to a date before the course start date..
For those whom have received their Visa please how month vignette sticker was written on it? |

Hello, With the dates you have mentioned your TB certificate is still valid and you won't need to have another. After a while in the UK , you'll receive a letter for another TB test within the UK to check for Latent TB(not active TB)in your system.I recall this is usually blood Others can add Cheers Ewunugaab: I honestly don't understand the bold part please. I don't know if you can further explain.
My TB would expire on the 24th of September, and my interview date is 8th of September. This is my own case. Please I need an advice on what to do ASAP please. If there's anyone I'm to mail, please help me with their email address or should I go for a new test? Thanks as I await responses. |

This was discussed a few pages behind and someone tried to drop a sample letter. Cheers ipassu: Hello All, I am planning to travel with my wife and child for studies in the Uk, while filling the vias application form for my son, at the document section we were requested to provide a letter of consent for the child[b]. Like @mattfeuter said unless you are shopping for Nigeria Customs or your item will end up in an incinerator or landfill in the UK . Cheers solarinde: If you wanna really carry oil. Hello The most important information are your First Name and Last name (i.e forename and family name). As long as that is the same in all documents the third name doesn't matter. In future stick to one pattern either all 3 or only 2 Cheers bodyco: Your opinion is needed. I have three names on my bank account statement, two names on my passport and then two names likely on my CAS which is yet to come, my TB cert also has two names. Although I have been advised to get an affidavit, I'm worried if it will suffice. However, I have the opportunity of renewing my passport which expires in less than 6months and get the name reconciled. But the challenge also would be to amend my TB cert. What should I do. Anyone with such experience before |

Hello, As long as it is fine with your school and doesn't affect your enrollment that should be fine. My advice is to get a confirmation from your school on this. 2. Try to keep your information clean and avoid too much discrepancies. It naturally shouldn't be a problem but alot of things are changing in CoVID. If you have the Manchester address, on your visa and it is convenient please stick to it. If otherwise, and you change address, just explain why if asked at the border (emphasis on IF asked,if not then enjoy your 14days isolation) Others will add more Cheers Donracy: @Mimilyrics @Duchess @Justwise and informed honourable members of this group.
Please I want to know; does it matter if I quarantine in Manchester while my School is in Cardiff? Does distance really matter?
Secondly, if I use an address in Manchester during my visa application for my quarantine and 48 hours before arrival, while filling the health form and decides to choose another location, will that be a problem at the port of entry with port entry officers since there is a discrepancy in the addresses?
Thank you |

To be fair, @access2017 is not the only one that has asked this sort of question at least he focused on Nigeria.
People have asked 1)how do I defend my source of funding 2) can I tell UK i am staying back. Someone recently asked how to defend reasons for refund etc.
I personally felt using his question will give others an idea of how they can answer such plus more research obviously
At the end of the day, more research is very important plus na you go dey the interview not Nairaland.

Hello, Look through Nurses pay at oil and gas companies i.e NLNG, Shell or NNPC Look at levels in nursing,so for instance a master's will take you from Level A to Level B which is a career growth and what you are aiming for* Look at how that can allow you lead a team and make a real difference in Nigeria ( even if it may not necessarily be) Answers in this line make you shine without looking like you are never returning. Cheers Access2017: Hello everyone
Please I need your suggestions on places and top positions I could possibly say I would work in Nigeria when I complete my course MSc. Adult Nursing.
Secondly, how much do they pay nurses in these places?

Just to add to what @mimilyrics said and I agree with her advice. I know a friend who is a pharmacist, recently finished his master's distinction, got the license and all.But during the interview, he focused on the reason he wanted to do a Master's and that was developing his career path. He didn't necessary have to say stay back and get a job or get license to practice in the UK Again, those are back end plans, the interview should be more about the front end plans. Let her answer be about her career development and not the place per say.you might also get a good job in the US or the EU. So why limit yourself to the UK? Just saying, focus on the now. P.S forgive my typo Cheers mimilyrics: Oh okay. Will you be getting your license as part of your course or you've got to write the exams separately? Is your course a pre-registration training? Is passing your GPhC a requirement for your course or after your course? Is your course an OSPAP course? Sorry if I mixed up the terms, I'm not a pharmacist |

Hi Just to add 1. He should immediately notify the school on his inability to get a date and the school will advice on a new CAS and/or new date of resumption, and /or Online option etc 2. There is no idea on when priority visa will resume 3. The embassy can't advice on the decision he as to take, you can try calling if in doubt https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-ukthat's the link 4. Again, he could pay the deposit, start online and resume later when he has gotten his visa but all this depends on the school. His school should be his first point of call 5. Remember the maintenance funds have to remain intact Cheers marcDgreat: HI a friend of mine has an issue. he applied for and has gotten admission but he just started keeping the needed fund in his sponsors account today, the fund will mature on the 15th is September. the school resumes on the 21st, but with the way dates are unavailable, he might not be able to get an interview date close to the date the account matures. He was hoping to do priority visa, but it has been suspended for now, he wants to ask the school to let him resume late and put a later resumption date on his CAS. someone advised him to call the embassy and narrate his situation but there is no number to call online if you have any number please kindly send it my way. Please what do you advise he do next should he go ahead and pay the deposit with hope that priority visa will resume or should he defer his admission. Gurus in the house pls help!!! |

Hello, There isn't a rule per say, Ideally you shouldn't be accepting two offers from two different institutions. When you accept one and don't respond to the second one, the offer will elapse. You should be clear on what school and course you are after at the point of receiving your unconditional offer (which would have included paying your deposit). Others in Scotland can help with your second question Cheers Pegzzyg: Good day all,
Please, I wish to inquire. Is there any rule against accepting more than one institution's unconditional offer? i.e. if two schools offers an unconditional admission & gives you 1 month to accept or reject, can I accept the two prior to when I would be applying for my CAS?
Secondly, are MBA courses still viable in Scotland? Not sure I saw that on the shortage occupation list pre-covid, just wants to be able to make an informed decision in the long run.
Thanks in anticipation.... |

This is a good example of interview gone wrong, TBH alot of people do not prepare enough, and do not do proper research on the school, and course they choose to study (remember you are about to spend millions) Also there is a misconception that once all documents are complete you will get the visa, clearly as seen in @dejavu's sample copy that it isn't always the case. Your answers should be from you and not anyone else, you should be as natural as you can be not cram them. These guys are experienced and can easily tell a lie when Study Visa seems like a getaway route. Prepare and be Sincere. Cheers Dejavu31: Saw this online. To help people prepare. |
