At this rate, will Arsenal finish above United come season's end?
With all your "quality" you've thrown three games away at home. . .

This is just wrong.

What happened? We were two goal up for crying out loud, and all of a sudden we lost the match?

This is unacceptable! While I understand that football can throw up few surprises, losing to spurs in this manner is just unacceptable. Every time we have the chance to go clear or gain more grounds we just tend to crumble. What exactly is the problem?

I am not a happy man right now.
The secret of our losses lies with these boys, it is now all in their heads. It is almost like once they are ahead, they forget how they got there in the first instance. Why all this heartache for fans now?  undecided

You're the one with the problems. . blind, deaf and overtly hard-headed and in need of healing. All because of this your gunnerism that has no logic at all.

Deboooo, someone is telling a lie about you o, please speak now or forever remain stay indoors with those Norweigian babes Sauron has arranged for you. Where and when exactly did you say I was dodging anything? If there is indeed such a post from you, I'm yet to see it.

StarBoard:
[b]I put those stats there to see your reaction
,and being the unintelligent and predictable fellow you are,you fell like humpty dumpty for the hook.So it's not surprising your barking up the wrong tree (as usual) by pointing at the stat line included in the reference instead of your blunder at deciphering simple EnglishIsn't this more laughable?
Now, this is totally puzzling, who put up the stats in the first instance? you or me? if perchance you didn't get my drift initially why are you still so obstinate to accept my explanation? or can it be that you still don't get it? now that would be absolute disaster from one who calls me unintelligent and predictable seeing as it is that would make us birds of the same feather. Even Debo who originally brought up the club thingy seems to have accepted my explanation, why does yur fly now want to die inside Debo's excrement? undecided
I never mentioned that the post was about clubs, even the portion you bolded was about stats and has no mention of clubs (apart from listing them in chronological order to give complete info about his stats) so where exactly are you coming from my guy?

Likewise we will make you shut the hell up if you think you can come here and write rubbish. So leaving apparently is the best you can do in this situation.

I choose not to reply to people who seem to have lost their learnt ability to read, after so many posts pointing out the error in Debo's hasty assumption that my original post referred to Lindegaard's previous clubs, I still can't understand some people referring to clubs in their post.

StarBoard:
Oga,it's written all over your post. What is the below-highlighted refering to?My sugar-mummy date for tonight?
so Stats is now a synonym for Club?  undecided were the names of the club's the only information you could glean from that piece? noticed anything about appearances? year/age? status at the club?

StarBoard:
What does ", come from the bush" imply?Coming from your village?Nigga, please. . .let's not get into grammar and English.Faux Pas.Laughable one too.
The excuse commonly given for Bebe is that he has come from nowhere, and I've pointed to many people on here yourself included that he wasn't as untrained in football as people made him out to be. Pray weren't you one of those perpetuating that nonsense? that the reason he looks unrefined on the pitch is that he has had little football training? Have you lost your memory?
It doesn't literally mean Bebe was brought up like Mowgli.  grin grin

StarBoard:
Dude,as of yesterday,he's Denmarks goalie.End of.It's not looking like he's got challengers to that position either,if you've been following his career of late.Joining United was not going to change his Number 1 status as well.
Szczesny can claim to be an international goalkeeper. He has an appearance to his name.Whatever you say from here on means nothing to you and I(like most of your posts.)
Objectivity isn't your strongest point. You sabi jump to conclusions well-well and, most times they are largely unfounded.
Fair enough, that is your opinion, yu're welcomed to it though the logical steps you took to arrive at that conclusion with objectivity is not clearly detailed.  grin grin Anyway, my question is this, is Schmeichel a manure legend's conclusion also unfounded? undecided

Anyway, I can see the hoodies who went to Roonie's house are showing up so I'll take my leave now thank you. Don't have the energy to fight wink

You're begining to sound like you have water in your head when you type these things. You're bordering on charlattanism.
No matter what Cech did,he was at a lowly club by all standards.Same as Kahn for Karlsruhe. That's the fact of the matter.
All your talk about what they did at 13 holds no water.
And where did you get the idea I'm questioning the transfer because of the quality of his former club? I was questioning it because of his progression with age my dear, its not my fault Debo jumped to conclusions is it?  undecided

StarBoard:
Lindegaard is Denmark's goalie.Don't know what you're going on off.How can he be mediocre?
Every argument of yours ends up with Bebe. Can't you just surprise us and try not to be predictable?
And by the way,if you haven't seen Bebe's latest performance,then you'r just a noisemaker.Period
For how long? I think he has only 4 caps so far, can I also claim that Szczesney of Arsenal is Poland's keeper because he has 1 cap? only thing is I expect his career to now receive a boost cos he's joined Manure (like Bebe) .

I did see Bebe's performance and I congratulate him, but a decent volley and one Drogba like move with a lot of gra gra against chicken boned predominantly U18 Wigan reserves team isn't my benchmark to rate players (I could show you some stuff a 17 year old Chuks Aneke is doing at reserve level that would leave you jaw permanently on the ground talk less of JET)

Dudu

Where was cech before joining Chelsea, Oliver Kahn was with Karlsruhe before joining Bayern at the age of 25 and became a legend
Didn't you know that Cech had already won MVP of the UEFA U21s (as a GK for the Czech republic) and was a guaranteed starter at Sparta Prague at 21, and Ollie might have been in Karlsruhe but I'm sure he was top dog there in his early 20s and not being loaned out. Besides wasn't Karlsruhe in the Bundesliga 1 then? and do you want to compare the quality of the Bundesliga at that time with the Danish League today? (Where this chap couldn't tie down a shirt until he clocked 24/25) Exceptional players are usually precocious, can you compare any of those 3 GKs I just listed up with Lindegaard at the same age?
Take it or leave it, the odds are not looking too good with these recent dodgy purchases, its like asking for lightning to keep striking the same spot but reality tells us otherwise.

According to Doodooface, we should only be buying players from Real Madrid and Barcelona to prove they are not mediocre players. grin grin grin
I still wont give up on him though. He's not a lost case yet.
Refer to the post above, you spoke too soon but then I was expecting the knives anyway so you didn't disappoint. grin grin Its not about the club, its the impact made in the club. Years before Manure bought Schmeichel he had already won the 1992 Euros with Denmark and had been undoubted top dog GK in danish football for years, VDS had won UCL in 1995, Barthez was french number 1 and so on and so forth.

Only people who can't see beyond their noses or those being economical with the truth can't see the change in Manure's player purchase philosophy. I'm not even sure this bloke would make a good replacement for Kuczak, to suggest for once that he is replacing VDS is more than taking the piss.

Was Ljajic from Barcelona? I almost lamented more than you guys when Manure didn't complete his purchase, I think you can all see the impact he is making now at Fiorentina in the Serie A as an 18 year old. If I'm not mistaken Sauron called me unprintable names and told me Manure didn't buy him because they had enough youngsters. Who did yu then go and buyhuh A 20 year old Bebe fresh from the 3rd division in Portugal who is still a reserve player. Now does that sound like something Fergie would do 4 years ago?

it wasn't about the club Debo, amazed you didn't pick that up, at 24 was Schmeichel being loaned out by Brondby?
For reference as to what I mean, at 22 Fabianski was confirmed starter at Warsaw and had won Polish keeper of the year in the whole of Poland 2 years running (and that is someone most Arsenal fans still do not rate)
Odense where Lindegaard was loaned out and finally sold as a 24 year old is not even the most successful club in the league? now does that look like Manure quality to you? undecided

Gerrard and Lumpard have never been the tippy tappy MF type that excel in ball retention, not that their type of football doesn't have its own uses though.

You never cease to amaze me on how wrong your projections concerning United have been this season,so I shouldn't really be paying any attention to them given your record on predictions as regards United.

I'd say that United haven't played well this season and are still unbeaten.I'd rather be concerned about that and worry about what would happen when they decide to get their act together
As for wins agains Wolves and Everton,I shouldn't be telling you that it's to be expected. If you're touting those wins as why you should be labeled contenders, then I guess your club has a problem too.
Would you care to review your performance against the 2 clubs in question? and tell me they were walks in the park for you? yu're falling into the trap of living on old glory, if yu believe for once that this team you have will suddenly develop wings in January like Asterix after drinking a potion.  That only works in Red bull adverts abeg. You know how it is with Sauron and his controversies, when he was blasting Denilson and co 2 seasons ago, he knew they were all in the 20/21 age range and never accept any excuses about their ages then but now that the shoe is on the other foot with Bebe, suddenly we are now hearing that Bebe is unrefined and needs refinement. If you listen too much to him, one would believe that Bebe has been stuck in a bush all this while and wearing loin cloths in some imaginary unknown part of Portugal, and only saw a football for the first time after arriving at Old toilet.  grin grin

Denny is just getting some heat from Debo because he doesn't want to give any credit to Arsene, he wouldn't say anywhere else outside of this discussion that Denilson is a failure.

debosky:
You've started posting your epistles again, most of them off point so I won't be dragged in. . . but this I will certainly respond to:
What nonsense - if a player who has spend FOUR seasons at a club is being benched by an 18 year old, what greater indictment can there possibly be? huh
So, it was an indictment of Rivaldo (a WPOY winner) that Kaka started benching him as a 20 year old and he had to leave the Milan? it is an indictment of Giuly that he was benched and ultimately replaced by Messi as a teenager? it is an indictment of any player replaced by a gifted precocious youngster? whatever happend to the notion that some players are just so much better than their peers?

debosky:
As for the BS that it's because Wilshere is English, why isn't Walcott benching Nasri? Why isn't JET benching Chamakh, Bendtner or RVP since they are English too?
If that was all you can take away from this statement? "only that Wilshere is a better prospect and lest we forget English too." then your signature needs changing  grin

debosky:
You can so invent nonsense - if Denilson was good enough, he would be in the first team after spending four years at the club. This is more clearly highlighted when an 18 year old gets a berth ahead of him. End of!!
That is not true, he was a first teamer and started 40+ games while younger as a 20/21 years old only 2 seasons back in which Arsenal came 4th in the league, for another club Denilson would be a sure starter, Wilshere is in the English National team as an 18 year old FFS and a sure starter for England U21s prior to his 18th birthday, how many players get into their national team as teenagers or even before 22 years? if that is not the definition of a prodigiously talented player, I wonder what is.
Denilson has nothing to be ashamed of in his performances or development, only that we are blessed with better that is all.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by duduspace(m): 12:51pm On Nov 16, 2010
debosky:
Stop talking nonsense - you cannot determine whether Mereiles is good enough based on what we've seen so far, with the entire side underperforming.
You are now Meireles' advocate?  grin grin I don't care if Meireles is performing or not, the issue is that if the Gaffer says he hasn't been able to see players better than what we have for reasonable prices, you are in no position to call him a liar, pulling out a successful VdV transfer - when I can almost pull out a million Meireles, Ramires, Aquilani type signings that didnt go right -  isn't in any way conclusive that what yu're saying is true and the chap on that blog wasn't spot on.

debosky:
Think before responding - the person who was bought for higher would come in with a high level of performance immediately, not requiring 4 years to become a decent SQUAD player. Not everything is about cash alone - the playing output matters; but then again, you obviously don't care about that.
Denilson wasn't bought for the first team squad, he was bought to be developed and in no way was a first teamer when bought cos we still had Gilberto, Flamini and even Diarra ahead of him. Yes playing output matters and that is why Arsenal have always remained at the top end, being coached by a manager able to achieve a healthy balance in the face of massive odds when you compare the spending of others. Maybe you would have preferred we hit rock bottom first like Liverpool?  undecided

debosky:
You tell me. . . . if you think Nik could go for 8m, then Denilson would go for considerably les.
If VdV can go for 8m then anything can happen but then there are mitigating circumstances that contribute to these things. I didn't in anyway suggest that Bendtner's value was 8m only that I would be comfortable with us selling him for that amount (plus the right clauses of cause). It depends on who is buying and how desperate we are to offload him (which at present we aren't at all). All I'm saying is when you start putting your buying pressure on Arsene, remember you are not in his shoes to have all the details, a case in example is Nik with Dr. Kit and myself already implying he is surplus to requirement, just for the simple fact that we bought Chamakh and we've even released Eduardo despite our sentimental attachment to him.
Right now, I would rate Denilson anywhere from 5m to 7m.

debosky:
Stop jumping around aimlessly - we are talking about finding players better than Denilson for a reasonable price. . . there is clear evidence that this is possible. Before you jumped in with your played out 'youth' argument, it would have done you good to look at the initial premise of the discussion.
All I pointed out was that you were not giving credit where it was due, Wilshere overtaking Denilson is not an indictment of Denilson's abilities or the wisdom of Arsene getting him as a youngster and trying to develop him into a first teamer, only that Wilshere is a better prospect and lest we forget English too.

@duduspace,
United over-achieving?
What will you then say of Arsenal losing to Newcastle and West Brom at home?Title contenders?
Definitely not title contender form those results you mention but Wolves and Everton away results are definitely title contender form and why we are where we are on the table. If manure don't buy in January, I don't expect your results to get any better, yu've only been missing 2 players remember?

You can equally say Gerrard, Reina and Torres are not so good because Liverpool isn't doing well. Shocking comment from you - it just shows how little you know of Mereiles.
All those players were there when they came second in the past so they are proven, all they've lost are Xabi Alonso and Mascherano if you ask me, the replacements just haven't been good enough whether they've been bought for 20m (Aquilani) or 11.5m (Meireles) it still validates Arsene's ideology that buying doesn't always solve the problems even though it may seem so to you.

debosky:
Hate on Arsene my foot. . . .when you add the wages Denilson has been paid for the four years since 2006 plus ther £3.4 million sign on fee, how much would he have cost Arsenal?
And whoever you had bought for an even higher value at that time would be playing for free? wouldn't be earning even more than Denilson was earning? what a ridiculous comparison Debo.
If we are to sell Denilson today, do you think we would sell him for 3.4m?  undecided

debosky:
Rubbish talk - everyone including Wenger knows Denilson is nowhere near where he should be after 4 years at a club like Arsenal. . . .even Wilshere is above him in the pecking order now.
Credit due to a manager willing to give youth a chance and making his decisions based on performance above all things if you ask me or am I missing something?

The blogger is a Wenger apologist as far as I'm concerned. How much did VdV cost the southern scum? Ramires had one bad game so what? Wasn't it the same Ramires that helped Chelski destroy Arsenal at the bridge? Mereiles who I rate higher than Ramires was bought for 11.5m so there is definitely still a lot of value for money midfielders out there.
Even Harry himself was surprised that he was able to get VdV so cheaply (and he said so on Sky himself) and you and I know exactly why he did with the situation at RM, that is a kind of bargain that doesn't usually come along. If Meireles is so good, why are Liverpool where they are with a team that has Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt and Reina? Hate Arsene all you will, but give credit where it is due.
