Babcock: sch fees=3million, ranking=26th UNILAG: sch fees=13k ranking 2nd How wise is ur dad.? I just saw this on FB..... I would rather my parents send me over-seas to go and study than for me to stay in Nigeria studying in a glorified secondary school. |
I am on my kneels pleading with Tonto, sorry MODs of Nairaland, this topic should be taken to the home page. I will keep saying it and saying it loudly, NO NATION CAN RISE ABOVE THE QUALITY OF IT's TEACHERS/TUTORS/EDUCATORS. In a country where poverty is ravishing both the middle class (do we even have that anymore) and the poor class, some people will bring out a Million or more (that is some people's six years salary) to send their wards to some obscure and glorified secondary schools all in the name of obtaining QUALITY EDUCATION, at the expence of the rest of the masses. Private University my foot, after the elites have completely grounded our educational system. Am Out. |
leverage12: Its offline business bro, if I wanted to charge you I wouldn't say its FREE. If you live in Lagos call me on 08138436585, let me put you through. If I charge you to pay me personal, then report me here as a scammer. Am only doing this to help. CheersGoodluck in your endeavours. |
leverage12: I want to help you start something for your self no matter how small for not charging you a kobo. If you are interested call me on 08138436585. CheersIf you are sure you will not charge me/us any kobo, why not post your tutorials here. |
I really don't see anything wrong that Baba has done this time around. But as usual we hide behind Faceless ID's to pour the Hate in our hearts. |
There is nothing wrong if a sinner repents of his ways and fights for the greater good. it's called CHANGE. typical of Nigerians, fighting the Messenger instead of facing the Message. SMH
So why are we then fighting Reuben Abati, if as a political crusader in times past, he is now a "sinner" in our eyes. It is equally called change. I love Dele's write up, but he is the least person I will think to come and fight for the masses. For avoidance of doubt, Dele has shown in times past that he glorifies wealth no matter how it is gotten. So why is he castigating what he was championing. |
donlyone: Abeg jare stoop ke, please do not stoop lower than sitting her down and asking her what is wrong or talking to somebody she respects in her family or her Pastor. If respects no one then you know 'say you don buy bad market'Bros when it comes to this kind of matter, women are better than us men. If that guy tries to assert his authority forcefully, I tell you he will not make much headway. I have had a similar experience in my relationship, it took some talking and begging and promises (even when I know I won't fulfill all) for her to come back to her senses. Today we are happy again. Op, dialogue still remain the best way to resolve this. |
“I smell something fishy!” he said.
I have been smelling something fishy ever since Sonia mentioned her plan..... |
She threatened divorce not long ago. I think she is fed up with our marriage cos she is not having her way as she wants. There is always quarrel whenever things are not done her way cos she want to be in control.
My dear, no woman really want a divorce. Like I said above, you need to stoop to conquer. Allow her have her way for sometime, then have a heart to heart talk with her. Once you point out the rolee reversal she is clamouring for, she will most likely come to her senses. Makee it look likee she is the one voluntarily giving you authority over the marriage. Also try and find out, if there is no outsider feeding her with rubbish opinion about marriage. |
SlyIg: Do you really kw d meaning of what you are saying?Their is a cliche that the worst civilian regime (democracy) is better than the beest military regime. But Nigeria's type of Civilian regime makes one to regret ever having a democracy. Our type of Democracy is way too expensive and coupled with the Looting Elite we the masses are done for. |
op, you need to stoop to conquer. Obviously she loved you enough to sign the dotted line, and proclaim for better or worse. For the time being, allow her to have her way. Then after sometime, call her and talk to her. Ask her if she is ready to wear the trouser in the marriage for the rest of your lives together? If she was what you described before the marriage, I bet you she will have a rethink of the path she is towing. Most women I have met hate to be held responsible when things go wrong. That is why they will never voluntarily take up the leadership in a relationship. |
50calibre: These guys were weird! Why didn't they leave Boston since Monday, why did they rob a store, why would guys with access to elite universities and colleges in Massachusetts go down this path.I believe they wanted to be caught. |
OP, I have never given ultimatum in a r.ship, but I think am preparing to give one soon. What will you all make of a situation where you have talked and pleaded and promised, yet you don't seem to bee making any headway. I am talking about a relationship that may be heading to the alter. Both of you have affirmed that you love each other and wishes to spend the rest of your lives together. But one person don't want to do the needful to see the relationship move foward as it should. In my case, my girl is so afraid of going for the Pre-marriage lab test to assertain her genotype and other reelated blood tests. (she is afraid that if she tested +ive to HIV I may leave her). Op, in this situation what do you? Do you just move on with your life or do you keep pouring water on a stone? |
My dear, General Buhari, I admire your guts a lot. Infact you are an ideal in Country like Nigeria. But Sir, I believe it is time for you to actually RETIRE and be a voice of Counsel to people/politicians who share the same values with you. Sir, please I beg you, bow out Gracefully from the murky waters of Nigerian politics... |
Boko don't want ammesty. Abia Criminals want amnesty. Why FG just give to those that want, and let everyone go home happy. |
my education. No one can take the knowledge away from me. |
daik: 5,000 Repentant Abia Criminals Seek AmnestySo Amnesty don turn to youth eempowerment programme? Baba J, I tuale for your government |
lorretta u: ur comment shows you're not exposed.I am an mbaise woman.and your generation everlasting will be blessed to have a woman like me in your home.anyway u don't even deserve Such.so all the bad women you know are from mbaise?u r so uncouth!Lorretta, am so sorry about the generalisation of Mbaise people, especially their women. I am not from Mbaise, but I have met and have also dated women from Mbaise. For the record, my bosom friend is from Mbaise and he is an achiever in all ramification. But........ some of the bad things people say about your people are true. I don't know if it is because they are from Mbaise (afterall every village has its own good and bad people). If you reflect deep and are true to yourself, you will know that your people are "devilishly" cunning, and they can be so loyal and humble untill they get what they want and then their fangs will be bared. @Op, abeg you don enter be say you don enter. |
I was taught when I was growing up that it is wrong to take other people's things without telling them. My mum equally said that the right thing to do is to take permision from the person BEFORE taking/using his or her thing. My dear Op, this thread would have been unnecessary if you had cultivated the habit of asking BEFORE taking/using your husband's thing (in this case money). This advice extends equally to your children, before you open another thread tomorrow saying afterall I bought so and so for my child and he or she wouldn't even allow me to use it. |
"Nigeria’s Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta said it will start a bombing campaign....." So Nigeria now has a version of it's own MEND. |
In all my dating life, I have met only two ladies I was very sure that if I ended up marrying, I will remain faithful to. But unfortunately, I both. The first to Tribe wahala, the second to parental wahala. Now what makes the two ladies different from all others; they weree my soul mates. We could talk about anything in the whole world without trying to bite our tongues or be cautious of the others criticism. We saw life as transcient and everyday we spend together it's a whole lot of new experience. I could be hungry and I won't feel it, when am around any of the ladies. We could be driving around town and I will be orgling other ladies and "she" will just find something funny to say about the lady am orgling. "She" does not show any of those jealous xteristics that ladies often exhibit. And above all, I trusted them. I still talk with the second one, even though she is married and when we talk nothing will ever make you guess that am talking to an ex. So keeping a man faithful is not about what you do or will not do. It's all about the way the man feels around you. Only few ladies are turely blessed with their soulmates. |
Sheesh! If you want in on the anti-uju wagon just say so ans stop talking tru both sides of your mouth! I can bet my one kobo that if what I posted was posted by someone else this e-maggots won't react this way. Even Ile quoted me and nobody has researched her posting history yet. Those Iya Basiras were just looking for an opportunity to take out their frustration on me . . . . I dey laugh!
Please try and use your common sense. I still do not see the sense in attacking the Op's post. He wrote something in appreciation of his wife, what reason could you possible give for attacking his post. As a matured person, you could easily read and move on. But No... you want to act all perfect and draw unnecessary attention to yourself. So why are you complaining when others insult you or dig up your posting history. This maybe a faceless forum, but stop show casing yourself as an idi,ot. |
Uju, but you are the one that invited the "insults" naw.... If you didn't like what thee Op wrote, you should have just ignored the thread. Your outburst was uncalled for. |
Having publicly turned down amnesty offer, what is the next line of action?
We the good people of Nigeria, should urge the GEJ led government to seek for Amnesty from Boko Haram. For, Boko Haram is a more powerful force than GEJ led government. |
"Surprisingly, the Nigerian government is talking about granting us amnesty. What wrong have we done? On the contrary, it is we that should grant you [a] pardon, " GEJ, NTOOOOOOOOO Hahahahaha.....these boko guys funny die... |
Things did take its natural course much later. Actually, a week later during my cds. I came into the headquarters as usual with my angel to see students of Government Girls secondary school lined up at the headquarters waiting for me. It was hard to resist the plea in their eyes as people gathered to know what they came for. And when they started singing and echoing my favorite hymn which I had taught them from their ancient and modern, tears formed in my eyes. I couldn't help but grant them what they came for! Their furthermaths teacher!
Am glad to know that you are a good teacher. It's only someone who has taught and have his/her student praise his/her teaching skill, that will appreciate what you wrote above. Thumbs up Teacher Mazi. |
