Note all lead acid batteries must bow to the C/10 rule, though some premium models claim C/20.

What this means in simple terms is that you shudnt charge or discharge at above 10% of battery capacity.so your 150ah bank .this is 15amps max, you could have even get away with C/15 to C/20 if its not done too often.

Charging leadacid battery above their specification causes them to heat up and the
internal lead plates buckle & deteriorate.

4 x 300 watts is ok, as due to inefficiencies and other reasons..you would likely be getting about 600watts to 900 watts on the average. You may set your cc to cap current @ 40amps..if it has that functionality....
The slight drawback would be some energy might be wasting on super sunny days when you are running heavy loads and your panel may want to push 50amps to the for the load and battery charging to share...

You dont need an external charger, your inverter charging shud be adequate.

What you need more is a means to manually send 15.5volts or 31v since urs is 24v bank to the battery pack every month for 4 to 6hrs for a process called equalization&desulphation.....what this does in essence is to boil the flooded battery so the electrolyte mixes thoroughly and deposites on the lead plates inside the battery are dissollved/knocked off.

Note: only flooded battery need this periodic boiling

if you can rule out the CC being the problem, check your solar panel or battery connections, either the connection is loose or the solar panel or battery is going bad

Back in 2017/2018, for a business place with 1hp inverter ac, 1.5hp sumo, 12 x 250watts panels.decent phcn >12hrs daily on the avg
i had a 4 units 12v x 200ah battery initially...about 8months later, i realized that i needed a bigeer battery bank, against the better advice of people, Niyi especially...i went ahead to add 4 more new batteries to it, installed a balancer and even changed the cables to be the same size and length, used a busbar, but within 1yr of doing this...my digital voltage ddisplay caught a battery failing, i quickly replaced it, and hoped for the best....but alas within 6months..2 more started showing signs of being weak...i yet again replaced them...but u wont believe that didnt solve the problem...to cut the story short, the business later folded, and out of the 8 batteries in the setup...only about 3 were in good health.

so my first advice is....dont do it.

but if you must do it, i suggest you get adigital display for the battery...and b4 hooking them up...first use a 12v charger and charge each battery full, then hook all of then in parallel and charge them again for minimum of 48hrs/leave them to balance out themselves in parallel.

Lithium has made them obsolete, a single 2v 1500ah cell is about 130kg, and 24 pieces of them would make a 48v 1500ah bank, weighing about 3tonnes, which has 72kwh, out of which you can use about 50% to 70% or 36kwh to 56kwh and this would cover a decent area in a room......
Meanwhile just 3 pieces out of the 4 pieces of 15kwh Lithium pack in the picture below in parallel weighing about 100kg per pack would give you similar energy.

In at least one instance, I have seen an installation not for ATM but for an office but with some 200 of these connected together.

These are the 2v 500ah to 2000ah cells.very durable but ultra heavy in weight.
They were the best b4 lithium came onto the scene. Being 2volts, you need 24 pieces for a 48v inverter, and @ 70k to 150k for 1 cell dep3nding on ah, then you realise these batteries are for men, not boys .

Georged1 is using the 2v 1500ah type. At C/10 rule for lead acid...you can see that you can put a 150amp load on these bad boys...no shaking, unlike your normal 12v 200ah battery, that u are limited to 20amps draw, to avoid irreversible damage

I installed 1 wakatek 5kw battery and later added another after 3 weeks. The 2 are in parallel. The last one I installed is making a kind of fuming noise when charging with grid from my Felicity inverter. So I checked the charger amps which was set at 40a. I reduced it to 30a but could still hear the fuming sound from battery number 2. I had to reduce all the way to 10a b4 it became quiet.

Pls does anyone know the right charge AC charging points for this batteries.
For now am only charging from PV.

isolate the battery packs...and connect to the inverter, leave it at 40amps charging current. that way you can see the particular pack that has an issue.

the right ac charging points?? ??/..this isn't very clear...if its dc charge voltage range...check the body of the battery it should be written there...the inbuilt bms of lithium battery pack..usually would make any noise if you feed it higher than normal voltage. it would simply trigger a disconnect .

how did u do the parallel connection?..you used a busbar?

1. Can I attach solar panel to non hybrid Inverter e.g. Luminous Optimus or Luminous Eco Volt ?....not directly, you will attach the panels to a charge controller first

2. Assuming I need 900Watts panel to charge (150Ah * 2), what combination of Mono panel will be better; is it (225W * 4) or (300W * 3)?......any is ok, its the Voc of the cc that will determine .however higher wattage panels are usually more optimal

3. Since it will be 24v system, can I use panels of 12v, or must it be 24v panels each?......doesnt matter, usually 150 watts and below panels come as 12v. I prefer 24v or even 36v panels. Mppt cc is best..,if its pwm cc you are going for..then 12v panels might be better for u

i call them dumb inverters, they dont write anything, nor have editable charge voltage setting...it was a digital multimeter i used to measure that of luminous

Most china/indian inverter below 2kva are usually budget systems, designed for 1 or 2 batteries, for the budget user..expected to give him 2 or 3 urs service. If you have solar...you can set ur cc properly..it will help counteract the ill effects from the inverter.

Luminous still carried on with such poor designs in their 4kva 48v inverter models

this is simple enough naaaah----------luminous inverters set their maxx bulk charging voltage at 14.4 volts. quanta spec says 13.8 volts, flooded spec needs 14.8 volts, so what do you think will happen to these batteries since luminous is giving them 14.4 volts max?

every standard battery has its recommended float and bulk voltages written on the body. so user/installer should set the battery charge voltahe to match this manufacturer specs for optimum perfornance of the battery. but most installers are ignorant, owners are even worse .

Attched pic is from my sorotec inverter displaying this info.
other old inverters hv a rotary switch that corresponds to a set voltage...... but luminous and other low end inverters hv sturbbornly refused to incorporate this into their design,

most luminous inverter are designed by luminous intheir wisdom..to output max 14.4 volts and dont hv desulphation setting. flooded batteries are happiest charging at 14.8 v olts and desulphating at 15.5 volts for 4hrs every few months.
those inverters you listed there dont have those capabilities............

it will work o....but the battery will not be very happy...and may likely dont serve at its optimum rating

with editable battery voltage charge setting...you can set the charge voltage to what u want and also use it to desulphate even if your inverter doesnt hv a dedicated desulphation button...

other than that, luminous is a strong inverter, hv used the luminoius ion in a setup for over 10yrs, only issue was stuff cooling fanfrom dust...which was replaced. however that design flaw isnt serious if using normal smf battery,,apart from quanta/flooded battery....quanta likes to be charged at 13,8 volts

Best you go for an inv erter with editable charge voltage settings,
Luminous doesnt have that setting, so a deal breaker for me.

If its normal sealed leadacid you intend to use..you cud be fine, but if its flooded battery...then its important you get an inverter with the functionality i explained above

24v 100ah pack isnt so common in affordable factory builds, they are best in diy builds. 24v 200ah lithium packs are more common, felicity,yohako etc...however i prefer diy builds to factory builds, cos of issues of false or over labelling as discussed earlier

Is that something that can be repaired by using a rubbery material to plug a hole (which is mostly what the Roofer you sent did, to plug Holes created by the indiscriminate Nailing you did on my Roof, causing leaks?

The Second Picture also shows water-soaked on my Suspended Ceiling! Many of them were condemned because they became soaked and buckled.
Did the Roofer you sent also replace such Ceilings, some of which fell down after soaking so much Water?
Yes, he tried his best and l confirmed that. After he left, there were still leakages, some of which we discovered later when we started seeing equipment soaked! All this are in the chart l sent to you.
My Tenant was also not around for sometime, and we did not know that the Roof on his side of the installation was damaged so much. Roofer did not know, could not identify or repair his side, when the Roofer you sent came.

Contrary to your belief, l felt you are wasting my time because l knew an irreversible damage has already been done to my Roof, from your incompetency!
I called the Roofer back a second time, but did not tell you.
I paid him #10,000 for that second Visit but that money was too inconsequential for me to call you over moreover, you are always giving me excuses of why you cant show up to visit and inspect the damage you caused. I have Proof of this, if you doubt it.

Due to the nature of damage (changing the contour of the ridges of the Roofing sheet , with your careless walking over it, making water run-off impossible, creating puddles everywhere, which later react with the Aluminum and create holes at that spot) and how widespread they are, l concluded l have no choice than to change them to new ones!
I dont want everybody in the neighborhood wondering why Roofers are always climbing my Roof every now and then, that can be embarrassing to me afteral, they would be wondering: if the Sheets are bad, why cant he just change them? No Roofer has climbed my Roof in the last four years, before you came.

The job l engaged you for, was to install 10 Panels, (just like engaged someone else to install 5 panels later), not to damage my Roofing and be telling me that you sent a Roofer to "plug the Holes created by your indiscriminate nailing and you paid for it"!
How come the other Installer l engaged to the the 5 Panels did not cause any damage to the Roof?

Leaking and damaged Roofing sheets should not be the End Result of the job l gave you, irrespective of whether you sent a roofer back to assist in plugging some of those Holes.
The Crushed Roofing sheets cant be straightened back, so the DAMAGE you caused is permanent (and they keep leaking time, after time .... unless l change them, which l will, in a few weeks time.

if you want to know how the "Proper" Professional Installer l engaged, who did not cause a single damage, did the installation, including correcting the shoddy work you did, l can refer you to him, for some free lectures.

I am just restraining myself, l watched the pictures of the damages on my phone again, just now.

Its a lil similar to driving your 2022 F150 truck, and some1 now comes and bashes it, agrees he is @ fault n offers to fix the damage.
Takes the car and its repaired to the best of their abilities, however your truck isnt exactly the same as b4 the accident + the fender that was repainted is now a tad off color from the rest of the car, you complain, basher takes the car for a few days again n tries to rectify the color, car is brought back and u are still not satisfied with the car, now you hv been without ur beloved car for 2wks now, an inconvenience wch isnt quantifiable nor factored in by basher.

U now decide to manage the car however it is, while u make plans to buy another truck and sell the accidented one afterwards, as the car no longer gives you joy n u believe basher lacks the capacity/resources to return ur car to its original pristine condition b4 the accident .
