pumping777:Now that is the "koko" of the outstanding shares issues. All other discussions na disguise. They had 1B b4 da offer and should have had 1.49 after. The offer was slightly oversubscribed. Hence my previous quote of 1.56(?)B shares. |
SGN:I can't get to aptistock from my office but I examined your sheet. YOu are using the investopedia definition of RSI which uses absolute prices to calc RS. I have since switched to the John Murphy (and others) definition which uses price differences to calc RS. To get the John Murphy (I can't remember who invented it but John Murphy got it right) version, RS-up is the sum of price gains (not sum of prices on up days), RS-down is absolute sum of price losses (not sum of prices on down days) over the past 9(?) days. Investopedia got it wrong! Maybe Aptistock does as well. |
grabdaloot:PEr Ikeja hotel, twas a typo. Offer was for 1B shares. No doubt! They writer got his 1s and 3s all messed up. Can't help you about the NSE database. It'll be cleaned sooner or later. I'm sticking with my spreadsheet. |
RoughCut:Is there really such a plan? |
If you find really really good people, make them partners and give them a share of profits. Go out of your way to provide benefits that rival the companies you are trying to become. Treat them as well as you'd treat yourself. And then PRAY, because no matter what, some will still leave. |
@ grabdaloot, I got it by adding the shares alloted by the SEC (652M) to the shares outstanding prior to the 06 PO (1080M). Total is now 1732M shares. Per UBA GM, you got good advice from Wanaj0. My guy is buying a total of 2.5M units so I guess we are still safe. |
SGN:My 14-day RSI (in my spreadsheet) is 41. Are you sure you've got the right settings? |
Has anyone seen the numbers for the MTN offer? I'd love to see the projections. IBTC aked a friend of mine for N2.5M to join a SPV for the MTN PP. Dunno why other coys are asking for so much. Lead contacted me yesterdday and I indicated interest. Will see how much they ask for. Not leaning towards it though! Momentum traders; Ikeja hotels dropped 10% this week and has a 9-day RSI of 19 and forward PE of 12. And yes, I own a bunch of shares. ![]() |
Re: Chams PP. News hot off the press is that UBA GM has raised the min # of units to 1M. Now you need N2.5M instead of 100k to enjoy. Tis in response to the overwhelming demand. Anyone getting similar feelers? |
tommy t:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-103844.0.html A thread devoted to Aptistock |
pumping777:Sorry, meant to answer your question but got busy. The SEC website indicates DEAP was slightly oversubcribed (20% of the PO, 2% of the rights) and alloted. 1B shares b4 the PO, 569M shares alloted, total is now 1.57B. PAT projection from the prospectus is 300M so the forward EPS is ~20K. I won't buy above N3.50 unless I'm trading completely on momentum. It's similar to Ikeja Hotels, but that had better fundamentals. |
pumping777:All PHB traders, make sure you get out soon (per Fo2's usual advice). The PO is sure to be oversubscribed and even though the profit forecast will be met/exceeded, expect the EPS to drop in a few months. Was that Acron PP a joke or what? I thought they had misplaced the decimals in the profit forecast. 3,000+% increase in PAT in the current fiscal year. |
grabdaloot:Could it be that the 640m shares added to Longman were taken from Livestock? Looks like the discrepancies are in the same ball park. Someone must have posted the livetsock shares under Longman and maybe caused other screwu-ps as well |
MyPeace:Oversold means many people have sold and the price has dropped and therefore the stock is now a candidiate for a price increase. Make sure there is no negative news driving down the price, otherwise, the price may keep dropping even after it enters the oversold region. |
Ola007:You can buy/sell the shares like normal shares. If the shares are "cold", you won't find a buyer unless you offer someone at much lower than the TS price. If the shares are "hot", you'll prob find a buyer at a premium. Shares on TS are hard to buy/sell (depending on the demand/supply). Most of the trades are cross-deals. Try to avoid TS. You don't know which way things will go. |
FatherOF2:James Bond dey for naija o! First Alams dressed as a woman now this. oxfordkid:You are most welcome. Note however, there is a small entry fee. Pls contact my Chams PP broker, I mean personal banker for further details. Just joking oooooooo! |
CHO:Intenegin is too expensive at a forward PE of 31. @ All, I'm glad you all are waking up to the issues I've always had with POs in Naija. It's not worth the trouble. Stay in the secondary market. |
pumping777:I bailed at 25 but Lead Capital did not execute Invest08:Chams is open if you have the right contacts. Read thru the thread and contact some guys (e.g Wanaj0) who have inside tracks of the arrangers. INTENEGINS is open for sale but my file is generating a forward PE of 31. Let is pass. |
donilors:it's triple digit growth but it does not project well to the 13.3B they promised us in the prospectus. They sold twice as many shares as they offered and they are not exceeding expectations. I've got low expectations in the near-term; even if they meet the prospectus projection, forward PE is now 29 compared to 16 for UBA. I'm out. |
spicie:Spell out your email addy and I email the file to you after I update it on Friday. stanchuks:It works fine on my vista machine. The loading data session never seems to end but if you abort it, it seems to have loaded the data just fine. The charts will work okay. Dis Guy:I don't know that you can "set" the lines in AptiStock. I simply do some visual inspection and llok for 70/30 or 80/20 |
faketan:This article is so poorly written/researched that no part of it should be taken seriously. If someone wants to impugn the banking sector, they need more than a few quotes from some nameless "former director of a bank". Do banks cook books? I believe all companies, including mine, will stretch the limits of the law to instill share holder confidence and generate positive news. Also, one bank can choose balance sheet to lay claim to being the biggest, another uses earnings, another branch network, another shareholders funds. So what, it's the investor's job to decide what really matters and back it up with his/her money. It concerns me how easy it is to tarnish a reputation (any disaporans following the Roger Clemens story?). Whoever wrote this story needs a lesson in investigative journalism. |
K2:K2! Let it go man! Let it go! If you want Chams, contact Wanaj0 and buy through him. kpineo:UBA global markets. I hear some back doors are still open. This is oversubscription waiting to happen. Pumping, thanks for the Ocenaic update All, Oceanic now has 22.22B shares so pls update your spreadsheets |
kpineo:1st half AKA 6 months |
chisco:It's on FULL suspension till the share reconstruction is complete. |
Pumping, you've trade-marked "No Shivering"? ![]() All the blood on the NSE floor today is making me queasy. There was blood on the dance floor, blood on the dance floor and I just can't take it. Long live MJ. |
windywendy:Wendy, you've sold your soul to the NFL! And to the cheating Bill Belichik! I no blame you jo! NFL sweet, but forget the Pats, na Manning and the Colts be the "koko"On a more serious note, I am trying to get in on the Chams deal. My guy in Lagos is bugging them at UBA GM to take "our" cheque. Will see what happens. |
K2:My sources confirmed the same thing. It closed the same day it opened. some big boys had thier cheques ready. ![]() |
bigjay01:Muchas gracias amigo. All check it out. Looks like very useful stuff. They are well on their way to becoming the premier website for NSE analysis. Upon closer inspection, it seems they have trouble with a lot of thier calculations. Sharp discontinuities in the SMAs,RSIs and MACDs and SMAs that are far below any recent price? Bollinger bands that are down to zero? Seems like the engine has some bugs. |
@ yodi, My account officer is out till Friday and in the meantime, the service has gone south big time. My orders are also going unnoticed. Good thing I was almost cashless by Dec 31. I dunno who is helping you out (Niyi?) in the meantime, but you can email me at easimoni2004 at yahoo dot com and I'll send you his e-addy. Otherwise, you'll get no love out of them. |
@ formunt, What's your point/beef? You don't think it was oversubscribed? In today's NSE, even Easimoni PLC would be oversubscribed. The offer was not reduced to 20%, twas the preferential allotment (the % reserved for friends and family) that was reduced, which is good for the common man. Take a deep breath before calling someone a liar. You WILL give account of even idle words. |
@ NBA, correct! Strong offer on all the Ins. Coys? |
