V funny Shig and I have similar (good) tastes in TV showsshigidi:Make I no lie u, I'm confused. For something I bought at 4 I can't tell u to buy at 7. If u do, make sure you CICO. . It seems to have stabilized at 7 so get out at 8.50. I might suggest joining the Nascon crowd. Me, I don buy Trans-Nationwide and Red Star. I fit talk am now. I go email u another one. I dey fear Fo2 ![]() |
windywendy:U no go take laugh kill me o! Anyway, we must see what Mr Aboh has up his sleeve. I'm sitting it out. NO DEAL! Sorry Howie "obsessive-compulsive, can't-shake-hands, germophobe" Mandel. ![]() |
windywendy:Howie, NO DEAL! I'll open 2 more cases ![]() |
windywendy:LOL, nice one. Esp the grab da loot part! Increase your offer to 8 make we talk. ![]() @ Pumice, welcome. Who is in the picture? Is this a riddle? ![]() mishooo:This I guess we msut ignore everything on this page ![]() yodiyokun:Na Hillary dey inside am jo! |
yodiyokun:They sounded like BFFs. Obama was more composed and prepared than usual. I concur they'd beat McCain flat if they teamed up. Obama as Veep for 4 years, then he strolls into the white house in 2013. ![]() |
oxfordkid:You know how many people prayed for him/Tobi. Make him begin recognise everybody one-by-one? Or na because of recognition u dey pray? Leave that one. You prayed and na only God dey recognize/answer prayers. On behalf of Aktopgun, thanks for your prayers. ![]() Oya, wetin make we buy? I dey compose email to my account officer as we speak. |
hispy99:NSL will stop gaining 5% daily sometime next week. I expect. Oxford kid, we don discuss Ikeja and Deap to the point of exhaustion. So tay, Yodi dey vex for me self. Both were buys but have taken off. Enter now at your peril. Me, I dey look Trans Nationwide, Red Star, Nascon and some others that will stay nameless I dey fear una.Shig, mind Wendy jo. I no fit sell for 5. But I don tire for the Wema bank self. Since Jan 12, 2007 I don dey buy the shares. By far the longest I've held any stock. |
windywendy:I'll take u up on that offer if you increase it to 8. |
http://www.businessdayonline.com/banking/3223.html More katakata for Wema bank. Japaul is dropping like a rock. |
UTC gained the max 27k to close at 5.83 |
PAT of N300M cannot justify the current price of Neimeth. This one na reaaallll long-term o! |
crazyT:The Aptistock thread has prices up to Jan 23 I think? I'll update the file tomorrow. windywendy:We dey watch am together. If Pats no win, no show ya face here on Monday o! Just take the day off. If they win, I'll be the first to congratulate u. Anyway, na the commercials I wan see pass since the Texans or Colts no make am. |
crazyT:I don't have any news. Always knew they had potential but previous results were disappointing. Maybe someone knows something we don't. Enjoy the loot. |
upward:FCMB never begin. THere are 4.5B shares waiting to be added from the PO (assuming no oversubscription) @ FBN people, they now have 19.87 B shares after they listed 7.666B shares from the PO on Dec 12 @ the Japaul question, yes you will benefit from any bonus in 2008. Said bonus will not be paid till sometime in 2009 when your shares will have been listed. They may still pay a bonus in the next few months for the 2007 FY. If they do, you no go get am o since they have yet not listed your shares. |
richieade:Why would I be joking? I don't support abortion or gay rights. I reserve my right to be "non-progressive". hispy99:Proshare published some Bigtreat numbers as a prelude to the upcoming PO. Run a search on proshare for "big treat" and I'm sure u'll find it. Dunno anything about NSL. Let us know if u find something. |
hbrednic:Are you proposing a pre-emptive strike? Later: Forget it, no volumes to speak of |
yodiyokun:Almost all the Ins coys are on strong bid. Na wah o |
pumping777:Obama does fumble when he's not thoroughly prepared: na Mrs Easimoni first talk am self. HRC's track record? hmmmmmm HRC introduced GSM to naija (wait, that was OBJ's ONLY achievement". ) Never said HC had a good record (as a Senator,no, since they don't do much anyway. But a 1st Lady, the failed healthcare initiative was a good one, shame it didn't work because the situation has only gotten worse) but the Clinton's time was great apart from Monica keeping that dress. ![]() Anyway, I wonder why I even care, I'd be a republican if I had the option. I can really hear Yodi screaming traitor They are on my side of the gay and abortion issues. Go Huckabee! |
kpineo:FBN shares (7.6B units) were listed on the 12th of Dec yodiyokun:He cannot endorse either one because the guy is going to be I'm for the Clintons (did I hear you scream "traitor?) Methinks Obama is a rock-star; too quick a rise and no track record. He was a nobody only 4 years ago and now is the front-runner. He has no negatives because he's done nothing. It's easy for him to say he opposed the war from the beginnning; he wan't yet a senator when it was time to vote. Also seems to fumble a lot when he's debating instead of speaking. But he seems like a good guy and I think he'll win. |
Surprises:I'm sure dollyp meant "BOARDROOM". No need for innuendo. |
http://www.businessdayonline.com/economic-watch/market-outlook/3011.html The Japaul bonus is actually planned for 2008 FY and not 2007, so what's the market crazy about? Even if they beat the 07 forecast by 100% and the 08 forecast by 100%, it's still sooooo expensive (esp since we don't know how many shares were sold at the PO - u know how that story goes). shigidi:Shig, why are you "shivering"? ![]() IKEJA HOTEL PLC Hotel & Tourism Current Price 7.00 Outsanding shares 1.732B Market Cap N12.1B FY PAT 06 N526M FY PAT 07 N843M Basis 3Q07 PAT Growth% 60.2 Trailing PE 26.1 Forward PE 14.4 Forward EPS 0.49 PEG 0.43 YE December BTW, I thought u had my spreadsheet? |
midastouch:No mind us jo! They all mean the same thing. The premise is you buy a stock when you anticipate news (mostly announcement of results/bonuses/dividends or lifting of technical suspensions) that should drive the share price to a new level. You don't wait to see where the stock goes in the long-term; you simply exit when your target price appreciation (ex-fees) has been met. Fo2 is the pioneer of this strategy and recommends 25% as your target. It should take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months if you time it right. It is not for the faint of heart or the patient ones. It is for those who enjoy tracking prices daily and turning-over several times a year. Not sure I can offer you a comparison of this method to others (such as Wanaj0's patented "multi-year siddon look if nothing bad dey happenTM" ) but it has it's merits.I hereby pass on your FSDH request to others. I use their spreadsheets (the best!) but have no knowledge of how good the services are. |
bigjay01:I was just about to ask. Abi una get public holiday because super crazyT:Yes, the NSE is too Unic! Make sure you get out soon. TS is knocking on the door of all Ins coys. |
http://www.tradingmarkets.com/.site/news/Stock%20News/773238/?hcode=relatednews But the Chinese bank did have some sort of financing deal with UBA |
windywendy:Here is the official Lasaco outstanding shares story: Once upon a time, time time, Lasaco had 1.411B shares. They came to the market (Oct 2006) and offered us 6.854B shares strictly out of the kindness of their hearts. yeah right! But, only 5.992B shares were alloted representing 87% allotment Lasaco kept quiet for 15 months, letting the likes of Lead Capital the rumbling, bumbling brokers assume they only had 1.411B shares outstanding; Lead, in turn, advertises a PE btwn 5 and 7 and screams BUY BUY BUY! But alas, the truth is out and Lasaco has come clean much to the chagrin of certain analysts (who need to be flogged for not being able to calcuate PE)Where the story get k-leg be say na 5.992 B shares (87% allotment) them suppose list. How them take list the full 100%, I no sabi. Anyway, update your sheets to 8.265B shares ( 1.411 + 6.584) until we see the audited report or prospectus (u know it's coming) Forgive me for the story, been a slow day at work. ![]() |
yodiyokun:The thing baffle me no be small. I bought small at 7.50 thinking it'd take 2-3 months to RORO/CICO/GIGO (do I sense Fo2 smirking, saying "this fundamentalist dey CICO?" . Now, 6 wks l8r, I'm about to pull the trigger. I don't think the 200+% PAT growth rate is sustainable (revenue is growing at 70%) and therefore a forward PE of 40 is not justifiable (my opinion) |
sweetcheek:This is your username! I'm afraid to ask. ![]() Market moves up and down. Sellers pass buyers, that na why the thing reduce. Na long-term or short-term? I'd bet on short-term because the f'mentals are solid. |
orisebawo:I don't understand how you invest N330k in the FBN offer and get N8.3M back Your folio looks solid though I'd recommend avoiding Access. with the allocations they announced and the debt-to-equity conversion, the PE is going to take a beating in the coming months. |
@ Frank Sorry to hear about the passing of your brother. God gives and takes away. He will give you and your family the strength to bear the loss. He always does. |
[/quote]If by k, you mean thousand, DEAL! If you mean kobo, %#@!

. . . those 2 cases may just hold the largest amounts left on the board . . . and the next thing you know, you're left with chump change

I will appreciate an answer. Thanks
