unemployment = 45% in my book
education = 30%
healthcare 55%
traffic congestion = 90%
pollution = 60% - the beautification project has helped this a lot
housing = 25% he hasnt done much here
security = 40% This is getting really bad as there has been a sharp rise in raiding of estates by robbers
Power = cant rate him here. still in the pipeline
Roads = 50% - Would have giving him a really good score here if I were judging by VI roads. But the mainland is still very bad
Infrastructure = 60% but i think he has done more repairs here than building of innovative and creative stuff
Good leadership = 90%. this is where I score him the most. He has been able to carry everyone along and is a good builder of bridges just like GEJ.

All you are doing is self projecting yourself as God and telling me what you think the bible is saying when in reality what the bible says is completely different from what you are trying to make it say. . . .The bible does NOT say any of the things you are saying and if you know anything about the creation account in genesis you will know that the account written in genesis 1 and genesis 2 were written by  different persons at different time. . . . .Most historians and bible scholars agree that the genesis 2 account was written earlier than the genesis one account. . .The genesis one account is a priestly commentary on the genesis 2 account and was later added and made to be part of the unified creation account. . . .The two accounts are not the same, they were NOT written by th e same person and at the same time. . .  .

In fact, Genesis tells us that the earth was created first, and the sun, moon, and stars were not created until the 4th day of creation,  . .  This is clearly nonsense. . . . Aside from the scientific evidence to the contrary, we know without even bothering to think that a "day" without the sun is a logical impossibility.

I see your reply. I’m not one to criticize especially if the person is doing a great job and Fashola is doing a great job! Mega cities by their very nature have inherent problems that other places don’t have. There is no other place in Nigeria that can be compared to Lagos due to the stress on infrastructure. Period.

Fashola seems to be on the right track to solve real critical challenges affecting the people of the state like; unemployment, education, healthcare, traffic congestion, pollution, housing to rid areas like Makoko, security, power, etc.

I think we should shower him with accolades to make him strive even harder!

Now, Amechi is a very good governor but not as good as Fashola. Why, apart from what I stated above, which project in Nigeria is as big as Eko Atantic or the KFZ* projects or the rail way (I know Amechi is doing something similar)  . . .I can go on and on and on.

You have to give it to the guy. He is a focused man.

Please note that until very recently Adeseun was a PDP guy. He read the political barometer properly
and switches allegiance. He still has PDP blood in him and thinks the typical PDP.

By the time he sits with The Tinubus. The Akandes, The Aregbesolas, The Fashola, his orientation

Section 182 from which the suit is being filed under says:

82. (1) No person shall be qualified for election to the office of Governor of a State if -
(a) subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a country other than Nigeria or, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the National Assembly, he has made a declaration of allegiance to such other country;

28. (1) Subject to the other provisions of this section, a person shall
forfeit forthwith his Nigerian citizenship if, not being a citizen of
Nigeria by birth, he acquires or retains the citizenship or nationality of a
country, other than Nigeria, of which he is not a citizen by birth.
(2) Any registration of a person as a citizen of Nigeria or the grant of a
certificate of naturalisation to a person who is a citizen of a country
other than Nigeria at the time of such registration or grant shall, if he
is not a citizen by birth of that other country, be conditional upon
effective renunciation of the citizenship or nationality of that other
country within a period of not more than five months from the date of such
registration or grant.

I think many Nigerians are taking this dual nationality issue too far.

The people of Oyo State do not want Akala. Not even the court can impose Akala upon the people of Oyo state.

I personally think such an order coming from the minister must have been given based on the instruction of the FG and off course who is the head of  federal government, so they are all in line . . . i want to suspect that the FG feels or must have investigated that the prize increase was artificial and deliberate by the marketers who suddenly have formed a cartel of some sort hence the need to read the riot act.  i want a scenario where market forces determines the prizes of fuel sources  but with our level of import of this energy sources, won't the masses even complain louder when the government decides to remove the subsidy and safe itself some money. The huge question people will ask is what has happened to the other saved money and. .safe the money where ? . .An average Nigerian would want to tell you that if the subsidy is one of the few things they can enjoy tangibly then so should it remain while the marketers are the biggest gainers. . .we need drastic change as a country but can we stomach the temporal discomfort this change will bring before we get to the comfort zone . . Often we desire dramatic changes with no will power to sacrifice a little . .that leaves us with a dilemma i guess.

This thread is so enlightening on dual citizenships. The constitution seem to contradicts itself.

May I ask: Is it possible for a governor of a Nigerian state to owe allegiance to two countries? I have not read in any of the posts here that Ajimobi renounced his US citizenship before contesting for the election.

The Congress for Progressive Change [CPC] had expelled its members from the south-south, south east, and south-west zones who oppose the party's decision to petition the conduct of the presidential election.

A press release issued by the CPC national public secretary, Mr Torimi Fashakin says its Kano north-west chairman, the Sokoto state north-west chairman, the Sokoto state, north-west secretary have been placed on indefinite suspension.

The statement adds that this is part of its on-going exercise geared at ensuring that the party's authority is respected.

The statement listed the affected individuals as:
