Domestic chores kill masculinity tongue
If as a woman you do not have enough estrogen, get cleaning and cooking tongue
Some women enable this mindset in men though. The number 1 culprits are mothers who bring up their sons to think domestic chores are the exclusive preserve of females.

No 2 culprits: Desperate single women wanting that ring by all costs. Forming superwoman and having the wrapped belief that a potential candidate / good future wife is determined by her domestic skills.

It's the way they were brought up. But even so, a grown up man should have the common sense to discern right from wrong.

Picking up a broom or mop to clean up after himself wouldn't kill him.

Courage in numbers. You do know rats would attack a human, if they were a pack? Or a single rat would turn round to attack it's human tormentor if it was cornered?

Cats have been known to have been killed and eaten by a pack or rats, and this is just the regular-sized ones. Those Nigerian rats can be quite big, some the size of an average Tom Cat.
But those are bush rats and don't live in houses anyway.

It's good to read most of the posters on here supporting a marriage where both partners work at it together, rather than just one.

Hopefully, these opinions are a reflection of what today's society is (should be) - positive change for the better.

MsJackson:
love. commitment. respect for marriage.
A marriage should be enjoyed and not endured.

What you've described is anything but that. Additionally, the early years of marriage should be the "sweetest", especially before the kids roll in. You're barely into the 2nd year of yours and you've been dragged to hell and back, and back into hell again - when you ought to be in your honeymoon phase enjoying each other's company like there's no tomorrow.

But you haven't got that, have you? And yet you cling on, desperately. Love. Commitment. And respect, you say?

Mrs Jackson. Your husband doesn't love you - otherwise he wouldn't be treating you the way he currently does.

Mrs Jackson. Your husband isn't committed to you - otherwise you wouldn't suspect him of cheating on you.

Mrs Jackson. Your husband certainly doesn't respect you - otherwise he wouldn't let his family / sisters walk all over you, make derogatory comments about you - but would instead stand solidly behind you and support you in public.

Your idea(s) of what a marriage entails is/are wrapped to say the least.

Don't for a moment think bringing forth children into such a union would magically resolve your foundational issues. On the contrary, they'll add to them.

Stop papering over the yawning gaps and cracks in your "marriage". Open your eyes and admit the obvious. Be realistic.

dimexy247:
My husband loves to c.um in my mouth and it’s becoming very annoying , when ever his about to c.um, he just withdraws straight into my mouth ,and if I don’t open he will keep malice with me for months and will not touch me.

So I decided to make peace reign so I started allowing him c.um in my mouth but I don’t swallow it, I will just carry it and pour it out in the bath or on the sheets. So he noticed it and got even more angry that I must be swallowing it, I refused and he brought his normal method of malice, so I accepted because am afraid of breaking my home.

So when ever he c.um in my mouth he uses his hand to cover my nose to help me swallow it by force , and after that I will cry my eyes out cause I feel like throwing up .

And I am tired of this, he makes me hate s.ex. We don’t have any kids yet because he always make me swallow all of his c.um in my mouth instead of private part .

Am getting fed up. I feel maltreated and cheated.

So I want to ask, is this part of domestic violence ? How can I fight it ? Am tired. Nigerians please advice me.

FamilyRe: Do Wives Do This Or I Just Have A Bad One? by EfemenaXY:
lebrotin:
Are wives generally rude and saucy to husbands when arguments ensue? Whenever there is disagremment btw both of us, she barks at me like am her boy. we were travelling in our car one day and i suggested to pick up my brother so we could see a house agent since he would be getting married soon, my wife started questioning why i would want to carry my brother along, it was really serious that she started shouting at me in the car, this drew the passerby and commuters attention to us as we were driving, at some point, she threatened to drop off and get to the back of the car with our baby even while i was on motion, during this she was still insulting me ( do i turn against my brother or i tell him i could not make it to carry him was just running thru my mind and begging for answers at that point). Lately i was in the office and started getting pings from her accusing me of seeing a particular girl since last year which i have no idea of. i confronted her when i got home and the usual shouting and rude pronouncements began, to the extent that i have to tell her to bring down her voice cos neighbors could be hearing us. She could not mention who i was cheating with, she does not want to apologies for wrong accusation instead she brot up year long issues. i always want to be calm but she would definitely say things that would make you feel less of a man. Is is a general thing that wives call their husbands names during arguments or am just unlucky.
Based on your assertions, she sounds like an evil-tempered shrew.

Send her back home to her people to cool down - and while she's at it, let her acquire some much needed communication skills. Manners 101.

MsJackson:
Hello. please advice me. what should I do about a man who
-deletes his Whatsapp chats with girls (y delete if u have nothing to hide )
-calls down evil on me whenever I talk about his sisters(they pretended to like me initially but I discovered they were painting me black to my husband and his parents, prompting me to avoid them)
-he is jobless but I support him with the little I earn, but he's NEVER grateful (rather get takes sides with his sisters that, on many occasion, are very stingy to him)
-I do all in my power to make him happy but he doesn't value me, it's his sisters Who don't give a damn about him, that he values.
During a family meeting, one of his sisters said it to my face that she has promise herself that no woman can ever take her brother from her. and my hubby never said a word, just looking. Is all this because i havent been able to conceive after two years of marriage? The summary is: HOW CAN I DEAL WITH A MAN THAT'S NOT INTERESTED IN DEFENDING ME WHEN HIS FAMILY VICTIMIZES ME, AN INGRATE AND ONE WHO IS ON THE ROAD TO CHEATING? Please help me!
So why are you still with him?

I mean, what are you gaining from the "union" apart from misery?

MsJackson:
I've been praying and will continue to pray. We did court, but like I said, they were all pretending. never knw until recently. the sisters are all married with kids, they're older to him. It's sooo bad that when I had a miscarriage last year, my hubby told them. not a single word of comfort from them. only my parents in-law love me. but these sisters keep poisoning their minds. I belong to one conception group on fbk, a woman posted that she had a miscarriage, I only comforted her, I never made reference to myself. that same evening, my father inlaw called my hubby to ask him if I posted on fbk for the whole world to see that I had a miscarriage. my hubby defended me because, thank God, I showed him the fbk post before I uploaded it. then my father inlaw admitted that it was one of his daughters Who called him to report me. my father inlaw is not on fbk. Imagine another scenario. Where I was working with my eldest sister in-law, she was always reporting to her hubby abt my activities. I can never talk to a man or wear the trousers my own hubby bought for me to go to work with. All the sisters and parents inlaw will hear. she even told my hubby that men were always dragging me into the toilet at work. WHICH MAN WILL HEAR SUCH? I was paralysed with shock. Why will I be close to such people? simple I LOVE U from my hubby to me gets them angry. they never showed all these traits to me before marriage. Maybe it's because no child. AM I GOD? had I know... #sobs#
So I ask again, what's keeping you in there?

gbam.take 5.all this oyinbo training sef hennn.especially the one efemena suggested e dey vex me like seriously.
Why?

We've both got differing perspectives on how toddlers should be brought up.

You believe in "koncking", yelling, threatening, and flogging them to within an inch of their life - to the point where the child becomes a silent, emotional wreck, afraid of their own shadow. I don't.

SAMBARRY:
No wonder all this Nigerian ajebo raised overseas Don spoil finish. Them nor even get respect. Na them go tell their mama mummy shut up I'm still talking lipsrsealed
That a very generalistic statement you've made. I too in the same vein could say your jungle justice tactics of correcting a child only hardens them up and that's why "all these Nigerian based kids raised in Nigeria are hardened armed robbers, boko haram militants, and serial child rapists, not to mention poorly educated, short-sighted, political thieves with selfish, individualistic agendas of their own..."

SAMBARRY:
When you eye the child the message is delivered and understood.apologise for what? Nonsense. Why do I have cane.cane of 50naira under the chair or behind the curtain will make her behave even without using it on her.seeing it alone is enough
Violence begets violence. You do know that, don't you?

Hello House,
I'm in shock as I'm writing this, I seriously need advice on the way forward
My 3 year old daughter said she was thirsty and wanted drinking water so I walked over the fridge got a bottle of water poured it into her cup and hand it over to her,she took a little and said she was done I was upset cos I was like is this why you made me drop what I was doing.to ensure she won't come back saying she was thirsty I said to her drink all of it she answered dad I'm ok, I repeated finish it she took a few rounds and then walked to the kitchen table and dropped the water cup walked back to me and said Dad I'm angry Dad I'm mad and walked away since then I've been feeling really bad.
How do I assure her I meant well for her
You have an expressive daughter kiss

You were wrong in forcing her to drink up all that water. She probably just wanted your attention - some daddy time. Kids that age do it a lot, especially girls. It's just her way of bonding with you.

You should have apologised to her, then kindly corrected her that what she said was naughty. Remember, she's learning a lot so lots of dialogue is needed between you both. Siena was absolutely spot on in his post about forming her own personality.

Children learn by example. Always strive to correct your kids with love and never violence as suggested by some posters on here. You'll get there daddy. smiley
