Iran is not Africa brother, look at what they did to Libya. They are planning same to Iran and by extension to China economically. They dare not attack Iran first. I still believe Iran got the technology they used to bring down the US drone from Russia.
You misquoted him, he said this drill is good for Iran, meaning, Iran needs this co-operation more than China and Russia.

Poor people shouldn't even have kids, bringing innocent souls into the world to suffer them.
Wrong! kids are not meant for rich buddies alone, what you could have said is, poor people should limit the number of kids we bring into this world.

I don't see how a man and a woman won't be able to carter for the needs of a single child.

God helps Africa. This is why I was shouting on the other thread. Nigeria needs to put its most skilled persons in place of position before it continues its downward spiral into more problems
Nobody loves Africa more than Africans. The truth is, we aren't ready to free ourselves from the shackles of our oppressors.

@bolded my thoughts exactly, but I do not see that happening soon, nepotism has eaten deep into our society, those who are qualified to hold key positions aren't allowed to lead, we have a long way to go.

I am married for about twenty years now and we are blessed with three boys. My dad died without leaving anything for me except a family house which inhabit a lot of family members both immediate and extended members. I was saddled when my wife asked me to sale the only land I bought in other to buy a car. Though, we had three cars before, they all spoilt because of maintenance culture and now she wants the only piece of land I bought to be sold for a car. I told her, it's impossible and that the land remind for my kids. She said, a car is equally important to have as a family. Imagine the silly advise from my wife. Please I'm I on the right direction?
Not a wise advise, selling a land to buy a car? who does that? not that you guys will be using the car for any business.

Sir, do not listen to her, keep the landed property and try developing it, nothing like having a permanent roof over your head.

The heart of human is purely more wicked than the devil ...

You can purchase xmas clothes for the girl as xmas gift. Just be monitoring her keenly as your madam is likely to frustrate your househelp.
Buying her Xmas clothes without madam knowing will worsen the issue, she is already suspecting the man, the best thing to do is to take the child back to her parents immediately she is done with her secondary education.
FamilyRe: My Sisters-In-Law Are Causing Problems In My Marriage! What Do I Do? by Efewestern: 7:50am On Dec 20, 2019
TonyeBarcanista:
Efe, we are not discussing general family issue but the issue of this OP.

However, lemme tell you, a man MUST have an independent mind once he becomes of age, and at same time show love and kindness to his BLOOD.

The moment I left my father's house was the moment I saw myself as an independent mind. I don't seek permission from anyone to take my own decision. This is true with most men.

The problem is that some of these wives expect their husbands people to "back off" from their audio homes the moment they become Mrs to the man. They see the man's people, their new family, as intruders. They don't even want their man to extend the care he shows them at home to his own BLOOD especially if the man is successful even when it doesn't affect smooth running of the home. Most of them don't even want to see Mama in the house of her son!
The bad wives I was talking about, they just want everything to themselves, some even spend heavily on their family, but will cause third world war should the man spend little on his family.

I have always maintained that a man should be a little bit discreet in his spending, especially to family. The idea of telling madam everything is a big NO to me, my duty is to provide for her and the kids and not her telling me what and what to do for those who made me, ME.

Unfortunately, the topic on ground isn't about bad wives, but bad SIL

On the other hand, some of these in-laws (especially females) always want to ensure that their brother do more for them that he does to his wife. Some are monitoring spirit. Some refused to see the wife as wife, sister and daughter, but they see her with the lens of an outsider that has come to reap where she did not sow.
That's where the man's maturity comes him, he should be able to draw the line and not letting them (sisters) go away with everything thing they do, like in the case of OP.

You see, most times the issue is two-way and as a man you have to handle all issues in their own merit. But sadly, both groups expect the man to "stand by them" against the other at such times.
That's why it's very important to marry a woman that has a good relationship with your family, issues like this can reduce the life span of a man.
FamilyRe: My Sisters-In-Law Are Causing Problems In My Marriage! What Do I Do? by Efewestern: 7:02am On Dec 20, 2019
TonyeBarcanista:
So a sister shouldn't visit her brother because of the arrival of a wife abi? The problem is that those of you family that are close knitted think differently.

Did the OP tell you that her husband isn't caring for her and his kids? Your problem is that you'all want the man entirely to yourselves

If that's how you see it, IT IS YOUR BUSINESS
The issue isn't the sister visiting her brother, but trying to influence the home of the man because they are his blood, once you are married, your wife and kids become your top priority.

It will surprise you to know that the same sisters trying to influence their brother's home would never allow their sister in-laws dictate how they run their home, but here they are trying to run another woman's home.

I'm not even judging base on the story the OP wrote, it's a one sided story, but the point still remains, as a man getting married, you should take 100% control of your home and not let anyone be it father, mother, sister etc control your home.

I know some wives are bad, so are some SIL.

I co habitated with girl in 2014/15, she said same thing to me (out of anger

2019, we are chatting, she told me, she truly loved me then and now.

If you are 29, but of you are too young, so whatever you are going thru even Rich couples goes thru same hurdles.

Matured minds like Efewestern (My Urhobo Brother) has advised you.

I respect my case......work things out with your old wife.
Greetings Oniovo.

When dealing with women, one just has to be tolerant, they just let their emotions get the better part of them and most times, do not mean what they say.

My own worry for this young man is that he doesn't destroy his family all because he met a new "ANGEL".

Jadeobee:
Hi

I’m currently pregnant for my husband and I’ve just been wondering after vaginal birth if it goes back to normal. I’ve heard instances where men will tell their wives it feels the same, but it’s only to make them feel good about themselves.

I think this question is mainly directed to men because I feel like sometimes we women like to deceive ourselves with lies. Does sexual intercourse feel the same with someone who has had a child? Also can you tell the difference between someone who has a child and someone who doesn’t even if they don’t tell you? I just want to have a discussion about this.

Thanks.
Your major concern now should be the pregnancy, your body regaining its normal shape after delivery is something you can discuss later with hubby.

Try to know what she really is interested in, I don't think likes that catering stuff, secondly stop getting her pregnant, you are struggling and at the same time adding more burden to your life.

Wishing you all the best.

These are not Nigerian soldiers but Nigerien forces that were captured by ISWAP in Niger republic during one of their recent attack.

As much as we want accountability from our leaders about the war against terrorism, we shouldn't spread fake news, I hope the mods don't push this to FP.

Really am not talking even based on the new lady I met, what am asking is are we legally married? and if so do we keep enduring each other and for how long. Should I stay with her out of convenience because of what people in my church will say, my neighbours, friends, colleagues etc. Do we keep tolerating when we both know it was out of passion and youthful exuberance that landed us both in this. Oh God help me because my life is in a mess I hope someone understands me
Yes, you guys are married provided you did some traditional rites. Sit your wife down and talk to her, this new lady might be worst, I think you guys lack proper communication.

Imo

Anioma

The educational attainment and excellence of Aniomas always puts delta state in high rankings. Once you remove them, it won’t be the same. This is just the bitter truth.
Most of you actually don't see anything good about others who do not belong to your group, @bolded, was this really necessary?

So you mean 70% of Deltans who aren't Anioma are educationally backward and are not contributing any positive thing to the state? Do you know how Deltans take education seriously? hardly will you find any family without a graduate, yet you have to discredit other ethnic groups in the state just to prove some silly points. The hatred for others is just too obvious.

I hope people like Nowenuse pause and reflect on why people act the way they do. No Anioma man will type something like this.

The "Why" is still unclear grin. Till date some Ijaws from Bayelsa are still scared of the Urhobos, our forefathers show them pepper gan.

The Ijaws are very related to Urhobo thou, so many Ijaw communities in Delta state speak Urhobo as their second language.

Bro, we are no where near Iran, even Libya back then was more equipped than us, but was brought down with just few strikes. The reason US hasn't faced Iran is because of the damage Iran will inflict on them and their allies.

Imagine a country like Nigeria shooting down a US drone, "men, na die o".

Truth is, we don't even have what it takes to shoot down a drone. we don't have air defense.

Some, not all. It's almost the same way the Igboness of those in Delta is discussed. Most claim they are not Igbos while some align and think themselves Igbos.

Dickson is only a representation of the clannish Ijaw people who think themselves true while other Ijaws are either mixed or now 'true blood'.
You can not compare this to that of Delta Igbo, the Ijaws in Ondo migrated to that axis some 300 years ago from nearby riverine communities, just like the way the Urhobo kingdoms in warri migrated from Ughelli, Udu, etc. They already had an identity.

Those from Delta North migrated from various places, but were greatly influenced by Igbo. See the difference?

@bolded That was his greatest mistake.
CultureRe: Myths, Realities of Ijaws in Destiny with Rivers by Efewestern: 5:50pm On Nov 30, 2019
Sanchez01:
Sowore has never been political. Plus the Ijaws understand the variations within them perfectly. South-Western Ijaws found in Ese Odo LG in Ondo State today, though Niger Deltan, don't necessarily see themselves as brothers with those in the South South. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they hate themselves. They are more clannish than the Igbos. Those in the South South see those in the South West as mixed blood, which is where the 'full born' gist of the OP emanated from.

Those in Edo don't necessarily see themselves as kindred with those in Delta, Rivers and even Bayelsa. Everyone faces their business and only see those around them.

Recall Dickson recently referred to a certain LG in Bayelsa as not being real Ijaws and they very well protested by voting against his candidate. That gives you an idea of the clannish nature of the Ijaw man.

In the case of Sowore and Jonathan, it was more of activism and angst than political.
@bolded Not entirely true, I have met some Ijaws from Ondo and who have strong ties with those in Delta State, often times, they do claim to be Deltans. I was surprised to know the Ijaw dialect in Ondo is very similar to the one being spoken in Gbamaturu.

Dickson was damn wrong, the parts he claimed to be real Ijaws were places greatly influenced by the Urhobos.
