Vanity scams. Giving people meaningless awards and cashing out. Pretty sure Alex reports organises like 10 award events per year. |
kingPhidel:He didn't win the league with Leicester. Maguire has not won anything in his life. |
It's only naive people that think that in a tribalistic Nigeria, non natives can exact electoral power outside of their "native" region. Truly, Igbos have a large "diaspora" population (mostly due to the lack of resources and small land area in the south east) but they are unlikely to make it count politically because of the nature of Nigeria. Most Igbos in Kano or Kaduna will not vote on the day of election. Those in Lagos may even be prevented from voting. In Nigeria, no state would like "foreigners" to determine the results of their elections. |
Iykopee:Email addresses are not case sensitive. Both CSU-registrar and csu-registrar are the same. |
All these urchins supporting Peter Obi seem to forget he was the vice presidential candidate of PDP just a few years ago. Whatever you accuse PDP and Reno of, Obi is also guilty of. Five months ago, Obi was firmly in PDP and he is extremely likely to go back to PDP. Don't play yourself. Also, Obi is 60+. Where people get the idea that he is a Youth, I don't know. |
Dangote may end up losing equity in this project. I see the banks eventually converting their loans to equity. Those who buy these new bonds will be junior to the original lenders and are taking a much higher risk. Even with the fertilizer production, there is yet to be any repayment of principal. If at all the project succeeds, Nigerians may pay with higher than normal prices for petrol and diesel |
The funny thing is Mane will probably not be able to do this if he was a Nigerian. In Nigeria, you pay to do charity. You want to build a power plant for a community to have 24 hours light, community youths will ask for almost the same amount as "deve" and the elders will also ask for money. At the end of the day, nobody would want to be extorted just because you want to do things for your community. It's a bit easier in the North as the concept of obligatory giving (Zakat) is well established and nobody will tax you because you want to help people. Try it anywhere in the south and watch jobless youths destroy the projects. In Nigeria, people prefer personal benefits to communal benefits. |
Understandable as there are many boring parts. |
This is a sign he may win the election. After all, Nigeria is a kakistocracy: government by the worst of the citizenry. |
The only Peter the Igbo elders know is Peter Umeadi. |
And yet one man expected accolades for bringing the government that helped increase Nigeria's suicide rate and profilerate loan sharks. He not only asked for accolades, he claims it's his turn. His turn to further destroy Nigeria. By the time he's done, people might not even be able to afford rope or poison to even kill themselves. It will be that bad. |
robosky02:Lol. You call Drogba and I raise you Shevchenko, Morata, Kezman, Higuain, Torres, Lukaku, Crespo, etc who all failed at Chelsea. Chelsea is the only major team that has a midfielder as its record goal scorer. Strikers are advised to avoid signing for Chelsea. |
Major scenes when Doyin Okupe refuses to withdraw as VP candidate. |
sirlop:It's not money laundering. Bullion vans are used for carrying items you want secured. Note that there is no law against using a bullion van. Banks don't even own bullion vans. They are owned by companies such as Bankers Warehouse etc. You can choose to hire a bullion van for any reason. I can ask my bank that I want to withdraw 10 million from my account and I will want them in 20 naira notes and because that will be so heavy, I can decide to hire a bullion van. TL/DR Bullion vans entering Tinubu's house cannot be used as evidence of money laundering. Money laundering is concealing the source of funds or trying to circumvent government's attempt at having a clear view of your source of funds. |
This guy is now a cash out ticket for the efcc. And he cannot run because there is probably an Interpol red notice on him. |
Chelsea, the club strikers go to die. |
Dagenius53:There is no law that says the media is supposed to be neutral. Is CNN neutral? Is Al Jazeera neutral? Don't be naive. Besides, Tinubu is quite possibly the worst major presidential candidate since 1999. A candidate that summarised his manifesto as "E mi lo kan (It's my turn". Total rubbish. |
abiolert:It is not. You speak as a local baker. Produce yours and sell so you know it's not. You do realize you have to include the cost of the shop, customs duty (because it's imported), materials cost, branding cost etc to arrive at the final cost. You are comparing it with a workman job that you did. If you put this bread on the shelves of SPAR Yaba, nobody will buy. So it has to be in a shop with a clientele that can afford it. That means higher rent for the shop owners to pay. All that must be factored into the price of the products. Even the materials cost are higher than what you think. They don't use the butter you buy from the market sir and they are certainly not using evaporated milk that you are used to. I suggest you research more on this. |
Batam:Prosecuted for what offence? As long as customs duty was paid, there is no law against importing goods. There are wrist watches of 100 million sold by Polo Avenue in Lagos. Those who can afford them buy them, those who can only buy 4500 wristwatch from the aboki hawkers will buy theirs as well. Different prices and different products for different people. If you can't afford to pay 7500, buy what you can afford. There are people who can only afford age bread and think of those buying sliced bread as wasters of money. |
lifestyle1:Wrong. That's the actual price. 7500 is less than 15 USD. Not a bad price for that size of premium bread. If you go to some gourmet restaurants in Lagos, you will pay 1500 for a few pieces of starter bread and butter. |
abiolert:You can produce Brioche bread for 1000 naira. Congrats. You must be stealing your milk and butter. |
NetValueFX:You are happy that a senator from PDP are joining LP? I thought you guys said PDP is evil and is what you are trying to break away from? I am sure you will love it if 100 top politicians from PDP and apc join Labour party. That shows how naive some of you Peter Obi supporters are, you think a change of party changes anything or that one man, no matter how well intentioned, can make wholesale changes when he has to work with multiple persons. Keep being naive. |
Karlovych:It's not money laundering. If you have a billion naira in your account, you are allowed to withdraw it in cash. The law is against cash dealing above 5 million without the involvement of a financial institution. |
YemyTemmy:You mean he should be running mate to Ribadu. As EFCC chairman and later presidential candidate of the ACN, Ribadu has a bigger profile. |
This Osigwe person is looking for money from Tinubu. Nonsense. |
michlins:How is 1.9 billion to 2.2 billion doubling? Its not even up to 20% growth in Naira terms. |
You want to be president and you have zero seats in the national assembly. That will be what is called "a lame duck president " who will be tossed from one corner to the other by the senate and house of representatives. |
Penguin2:What makes you think Sanusi wants to be a Vice to Obi? Even within LP, they could not get a token northerner as a place holder. |
emezuo17:Peter Obi supported Atiku four years ago. You mean he too is not psychologically okay? Dumb takes everywhere. If Atiku was good enough for your new god, Peter Obi, four years ago, why should Atiku not be good enough now? |
Take. Nice euphemism. You have to be a dumbass to think there would be no stealing with Peter Obi. The same kind of dumbass who thought Buhari would end corruption. |
dmosthigh:Peter Obi told you all this? Peter Obi contested together with Atiku and even joined him to go to court. Yet you are saying he doesn't want to be seen as corrupt. Peter Obi left PDP most likely because he expected Wike to win the primaries. If he had known Atiku would win, he would have stayed. The sudden online popularity given to him was foisted by largely idealistic youths who don't understand that there is no messiah. They did the same for Buhari and were destroying our ear drums with sai baba. If Buhari had not won, people would have still till today thought he would have been the messiah. There is no messiah. Peter Obi was a governor for two terms. Anambra did not become Dubai. Anambra did not become Hong Kong. Anambra is no way better than neighbouring Delta. Till this day, Anambra is well known to house drug dealers a plenty. So why exactly should people think Peter Obi is a messiah? |

Efcc when are you going to do something about this? Is money laundering no longer tackled by you guys?
