Let him keep trying. As long as there are pregnancies, it is mathematically guaranteed that he will have a male child.

By the way, what does he need a male child for? Don't say he wants to retain his family lineage or some other such nonsense.

Punishment does not deter from crime. We have the entire human history to show this. If punishment deterred others from committing crimes, we would have a crime free world by now..

An imbroglio of monumental proportion!
Until teachers are formidable enough in such school who will take drastic measures like down tooling together at the heat of such issue.
But unemployment has created a huge vacuum were people are willing to take anything without recourse.
Do private schools earn revenue while not in session? Teachers who don't like the salary should not take the job.

Strikes are a foolish way of attempting to resolve labor issues. That can only work in an unfree market. In a free market, someone would take your job and those who try to force people into "downtooling" would be sent to jail where they belong.

I don't really know what you are arguing about.

I never said the offer is not for the entirety of Twitter. I said HE is not buying it outright, meaning the deal is not being financed by him in the context of someone saying he doesn't have enough money to buy coca cola.

Again, meaning you don't need to have the money to buy a company on your own.

What does this have to do with what you've posted up there?
This is what I too know gets you.

When they say he is buying it outright, it means he is purchasing the entire thing. How he chooses to finance it does not come into play.

SmartyPants:
There is no excuse for this sort of ignorance because where on earth did you hear that he bought it and paid cash? You assumed that, probably from reading headlines without understanding the content.

1. He is not buying Twitter outright. He is buying with the help of Investment banks. His actual stake will be around 30%

2. He has not bought Twitter yet. He has an agreement with the board but there are still many hoops to go through. Point is, the sale is not concluded not to talk about buying it with cash.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-04-27/confused-by-musk-s-twitter-lbo-here-s-what-s-weird-quicktake#:~:text=What%20is%20the%20deal%3F,if%20the%20transaction%20goes%20through.
You are the one who is ignorant.

His offer is for the entire stock of Twitter.

He is borrowing 70% of the money but would hold 100% of the equity. Next time, actually read the links you put up instead of trying to win an argument. You don't even know what LBOs are. When the Glazers bought Man Utd, they contributed 10% of the financing but owned the entire club outright.

LBOs basically turn a chunk of equity into debt. If it's a fast growing company, then there is an opportunity to make outsized gains plus there are tax advantages as interest payments are tax deductible whereas dividends are taxed.

In summary, although Musk is only contributing a part of the financing, when the deal is done, he will be holding 100% of the equity.

Allow those of us who have finance training educate you on this instead of claiming faux knowledge

Total asset value of Coca-Cola $87.296B at at 2020.

Yes the dude can buy the company..
Total Assets is not what is used to value a public company.

It is the market capitalisation and you have to pay a premium over the market capitalisation to buy the company. In Coca Cola's case, the market cap is almost 300 billion US dollars.

He is buying Twitter outright. 100%.

And no, he can't afford Coca Cola. With no experience in consumer goods/beverages, banks won't lend him money like they are doing for the Twitter deal.

Einsteine.

As an Economist, what do you think about this Elon Musk's move?
It's a vanity purchase.

Taking Twitter private allows Musk more political power but it doesn't make economic sense. He is planning to cancel a lot of the revenue generation moves the current executives were planning. His move is no different from billionaires buying newspapers so they can have their own media tool.

So, who owns Gatwick? Since you seem to know better, maybe you should just educate me. Have you heard of GIP( Global Infrastructure Partner) ? I have a relation and a Britsh friend working there. The company acquired Gatwick Airport in 2009 at £1.455 billion. The Italian Railway Company acquired isn't even added to this. Mr Ogunlesi owns GIP, fyi. Like i said earlier, this is an undebatable issue. It's there for those who already know.
Oga, do you know what private equity funds are?

GIP is a fund manager that pools funds from various investors. GIP's funds not GIP own the infrastructure and in the case of Gatwick, they have since disposed of the investment. Bayo Ogunlesi is a fund manager. At best, he controls the investments. To say he "owns" will be stretching the truth.

It's like a company like Stanbic IBTC pension managers buying majority shares in say, MTN. You are not going to say the CEO of Stanbic IBTC Pensions owns MTN. That would be absurd.

Gatwick is owned by Vinci Airports.
Business › Re: Forbes: Tope Awotona Is One Of The America's Wealthiest Immigrant Ever by einsteine(m): 12:46pm On Apr 07, 2022
Eriokanmi:
So, who owns Gatwick?
It is owned by Gatwick Airports Limited which is in turn owned by Vinci Airports, an Airport investment company.

Adebayo Ogunlesi owns an infrastructure fund called GIP that originally bought Gatwick. Note GIP is a fund with money collected from various investors. Ogunlesi manages it in exchange for fees. Typical fees are 2% management and 20% performance fees. Ogunlesi is a fund manager and it is the Nigerian press that basically popularize the idea that he owns Gatwick. At best, you could say he controlled a fund that bought Gatwick but saying he owned it would be stretching the truth.

In any case, GIP's infrastructure fund sold the airport to Vinci Airports.
