Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Dilemma Of A Young Graduate With Many Job Offers. by einsteine(m): 1:13pm On May 26, 2022 |
evuna: My sister is 26 years and a graduate of Statistics from a federal university in the South East. There is an issue, more like a blessing. She had been writing aptitude tests since and failing but something remarkable is happening this year. She has been passing all the graduate trainee tests and interviews this year. She is at the final stage of Cerdar group, Stanbic, Meristem and Oilserv graduate trainee program. Just waiting for offer letters. She got an offer into Wema bank graduate trainee but rejected it because of 2 years bond. She is currently in Gt Bank graduate training school.
The issue is that KPMG just invited her for their test which is physical on Saturday. The Gt bank program runs from Monday-Saturday. I have been trying so hard to convince her to take take permission from the tutors at Gtb and go to write the KPMG test. She refused that she does not like Accounting as she read Statistics but she was open to it before this year and had been writing tests of different audit firms. I prefer KPMG to Stanbic and GT and want her to give it a shot.
She is 26 and this is her last chance at any graduate trainee program. Please what do you guys think? She is confused too.
KPMG ( yet to write the test) GTB ( in training school already) Meristem ( Waiting for offer letter) Stanbic ( Waiting for offer letter)
Which among the above listed is the better choice for a graduate of statistics and is the KPMG test worth taking the risk. Please I need opinions from Nairalanders as I told her to allow me take my time to think about it.
Mods, please push to front page for more experienced professionals to help us. Thanks KPMG>Stanbic>Meristem>GTB She is actually currently in the worst of all the available roles. What's the guarantee she won't be put in a market facing role where she will be asked to mobilize CASA (Current account Savings Account)? The KPMG role will put her career in an upward trajectory. It is also very conducive for Japa purposes unlike the others. |

I can bet Peter Obi would not exceed 1 million votes. Outside of APC and PDP, no candidate can score up to even 500k votes.
Also, Peter Obi's supporters (many of whom have no voters card) need to stop attacking those who don't share their views. Peter Obi is not a messiah. He is a Nigerian politician. Let that sink in. He has utilized offshore structures to hide funds in the names of relatives. He is no different from a typical Nigerian politician, just more refined and austere. So while he is a better option than Buhari and Tinubu, he is not a messiah that everybody must queue behind. |

Proper keyword research and link-building. Write articles based on searches by the audience you want. You don't write articles and find an audience. You look for what the audience is searching for and produce a better resource than what is available. Of course, this is a slow method.
If you have a good budget, SEM (adwords and co) or Native advertising (Taboola, for instance) can help you get quick audience. This is the fast method. |

Efcc does investigation AFTER arrest. Why won't they lose cases? Also, the operatives are basically "entrepreneurs" trying to make money from suspects, so where is the will to win cases? The reason the FBI has a 93% conviction rate is because they only go for 1) the most significant and clear cases of crime and 2) cases that have been thoroughly investigated with proper evidence obtained. |

Dum20: When TB rates were 18%, FD rates were not more than TB rates.
The banks cannot match that rate.
I guess there is a specific need this bank has that is why it is giving these rates that are higher than TB rates. In a sane market, nobody would do fixed deposit when FD rates are less than TB rates. That's why theoretically FD rates should be slightly higher than TB rates. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by einsteine(m): 3:45pm On May 23, 2022 |
Dum20: This raises a lot of questions.
The rate is really high, higher than treasury bills offered by government. The same rates as Commercial Papers.
Where are they investing this money?
It seems something is cooking somewhere. Bank deposit rates are supposed to be higher than treasury bills rate. It is an anomaly for banks to offer deposit rates less than treasury bills rate considering treasury bills have zero repayment risk. |

When did Peter Obi become a Messiah? There are more Anambra people in Lagos (or even Delta) than in Anambra itself. Also, one party has ruled Anambra for close to 16 years now yet Anambra is not like Dubai or Hong Kong. Obi's supporters should stop acting like he's a cure-all. He is better than say Tinubu or Wike or Buhari but I don't think he is any different from an Osibanjo or an Atiku, to be honest. |

wpadmin: I never said parts of Delta state belonged to Igbos.
Delta state was already existing. but the Federal government took some parts of Igbo communities and added it to the Delta communities.
These parts of Delta speak Igbo and have Igbo tradition. The evidence is there.
If you give me proof that it never happened, I will read about it and correct myself if it's the truth. It never happened. The River Niger has always been the boundary between the Midwest region and the Eastern region. Name one community that was added to the Delta communities. Bear in mind that I am from the part that you are calling Igbo speaking. These parts have always been in Delta and were never part of Igboland or Eastern Nigeria. Infact, Dennis Osadebey, the premier of the Midwest was from the Asaba area, one of the Igboid areas in Delta State. The narrative that Igboland lost areas to Rivers state and Delta state is propaganda by IPOB. Nothing of such ever happened. |

VEHINTOLAR: Mumu,a Cameroonian just decided to give his children Yoruba middle names "just like some African Americans do",right ? Since everybody is now having a "Yoruba middle name" according to you, do you have one too ? Ode,if you may be asked, what do you even know about Mbappe father's background ? You seriously think a Cameroonian man, who is married to an Algerian woman, would just decide to give Yoruba names to his children without any historical background or reason for it,right ?
It's really amazing how some of you guys will just be claiming to be Authorities on subject matters you know nothing about ! Do we need to tell you yet again, that the vast majority of those African Americans with Yoruba names have actually traced their roots to Yoruba land or have strong historical reasons for doing so? You seriously think a name like "Yetunde Price" has no historical reason attached to it, right ? You be mumu !
Now that everybody wants to have a Yoruba name,at least, and according to you,it goes to show that there is something uniquely special about these great Yorubas ! Don't you think so ? Anyway,I'm a Yoruba man and I'm very proud to be one ! Everybody wants to be Yoruba, great ! You are an Idiot. You want to live vicariously through other people. Proud to be a Yoruba man but what have you achieved for yourself? You can't even spell your name correctly. People answer Samson and Michael in Nigeria, does that mean they are from Israel? Mbappe has no genetic connection to Nigeria or Yoruba land. If you don't like it, go and die. The last time, you didn't even know his mom was Algerian but were quick to advance your ethnic chauvinism. Now, you have continued with the obtuseness by making useless points. Is Kylian Mbappe Yoruba? Absolute no. |

wpadmin: Igbos only offence was that they organised the first coup in Nigeria and it was mostly Northern leaders/top ranking army chiefs that got killed.
Since then, the North went back to restrategise.
They divided the states in the East and formed new states. They took parts of the Igbo speaking states and merged it with other states e.g Delta and Port-harcourt.
The North organised and made themselves have the highest number of legislators in the country. If there's need to vote for anything in the National assembly, the North has the highest numbers and they vote in tandem.
Like I always say, Northern leaders have plans for the next 100-200 years while southern leaders only have eyes on the next 4-8 years.
It is well. Delta was never part of the east. So who told you they took part of the Igbo speaking region and added elsewhere? This is the lie IPOB has been spreading. At no point in the history of Nigeria was any village, land or hamlet in Delta state part of Eastern Nigeria. |

Relax, she will be well and truly f*cked by boys of her age. This is one of the bargains you make when you marry someone you are decades older.
Also, hope you are in the North because in the south, it is criminal to marry a 15-16 year old like you did.
Lol at virgin. The only thing marrying a virgin guarantees you is that you are the first to have sex with her. It doesn't mean you will be the only or the last. It is also important to understand that a virgin at 16 is different from a virgin at 25. The first one is simply a virgin because she has not yet gotten pressures from men.
All in all, you deserve whatever heart ache you are facing. Would you like someone like you to marry your 15 year old daughter? |

This particular case is as a result of the deep ignorance in Nigeria. How can you believe someone will hit another with a charm to kill the person? If such a charm exists, won't the accused simply use it on members of the crowd and kill them? |

We4all: So, we still have people like your friend in this generation? His desperation may lead to the wife birthing 10 females.
An ex neighbor had 7 females and was desperate for a male kid. His wife eventually gave birth to a male but he wasn’t a normal kid and suffered from Down syndrome.
The woman watched him grow each day with sadness in her eyes. Recently, I heard the boy died eventually. She probably bore the boy when she was close to menopause. Such women are likely to give Down's syndrome. Every fertile man is mathematically guaranteed to have male children. However, the quality of a woman's eggs will decline with age so a man having issues of female only children would need to change women after a while. The younger the better. That said, there isn't really a good reason for fixating on having male children. |
