Our relationship is tennis . . . love means nothing.

I went to the thread Lala posted and funny enough, the first person on the thread is from AFSS too grin grin

chamotex:
Yes that is Baba Seun, just outside the front gate.
We were regular customers . . . He would kick the people that were already there out when we entered cos He knew we were spending big. grin
We saved all our money at break for that.

Remember BUSH CANTEEN?  grin grin Good times mehn.
Bush canteen, our own version of Iya Basira grin grin
My cousin told me that the commandant bout two years ago banned students from Bush Canteen and Zobo Joint.

You know how stupid those guys can be sometimes.

chamotex:
Yeah I know him, we never really spoke or anything like that but he was lil notorious back then.
I think he was the set above us.

Ezeyin was known for his whippin back then. You cant chest it.
He took me to the staff room one time for doing 'names of ballers' if u know that game.
He flogged me mercilessly grin grin grin grin
There was a day he caught me holding live wire from a broken fan regulator with my bare hands.
It was a trick I learnt . . . he was about to flog me when Mrs Owolabi saved me.

The verses are okay but I don't like the hook
I think the hook was against the pace of the track too.
He was dragging it and it sounded forced.

But I like the verses, it was like him convincing himself that he's up there.

Did you feel the pun in the name?? Drakeover grin grin

Did you ever play football in the cage with us?
Akoji was my cousin . . . he's in the US now.

Music/Radio › Re: Which Rap Album Has The Best Intro? by eldee(m): 1:39pm On Mar 08, 2010
Oh shit . . . forgot to add the Intro of It Ain't Safe No More - Busta.

A girl of about five sees a letter bomb with lyrics of a song and asks to sing it.
At the end a bomb explodes.

Just imagine a girl of five singing this:

Hush other rap for niggas, don't you cry
Flip Mode is back, and you are gonna dye
Now they are niggas and they make it fall good
It can be alot safer, when they move off the hood
It's too late for you to try to call a truce
You tell him and your nigga like the cipher on lose

Better watch your head
You better watch how you talk
Watch me sleep, watch me walk
Always beware of a choice you make
Every time you click every route you take
Crazy shit of you everytime I had to talk
I get really pass, since the fallin' of New York

Now we sayin' shit I never thought we'd say before
You might realize It Ain't Safe No More
[Slower]
If you would realize It Ain't Safe No More
[Even Slower]
If You would realize It Ain't Safe No More.

Bomb explodes.

Music/Radio › Drake - Over (first Single Off Thank Me Later) by eldee(op): 1:31pm On Mar 08, 2010
Well what can I say . . . Drake is doing it like he should.
Man of the year drops a single to show us the direction of the album.

Over comes without the big collabos we were promised, just Drake telling us what he wants to do, make good music.
He also uses his idiosyncratic signposting wordplay . . . the type you heard at the beginning of Forever.

‘Bout to set it off, set it off, Jada Pinkett

‘Bout to go Thriller Mike Jackson on these niggas
All I need’s a fucking red jacket with some zippers

Just listened to it once now . . . will like to see what you guys think.
For now I'm thinking it's not as hard as Drake on Unstoppable or Forever

Can you see me? Can you see me? Get your Visine on
Y’all just do not fit the picture, turn your widescreen on
If you thinkin’ I’ma quit before I die, dream on
Man, they treat me like a legend, am I really this cold?
I’m really too young to be feelin’ this old

Def. current ones. Never heard any Bob Marley oo.  cheesy
I'm sure Marley was the whachamacaalit? 'introspective' type. These songs are just buck-wild, fast-paced with loud beats.
Simple name three artistes.
If it's that popular, I should know at least one of em.

chic2pimp:
I've attended quite a few parties in the U.S(have way more relatives in the u.s than the u.k).

In the U.K, it depends on the nationality of the host grin.
I've been to Jamaican Hosted parties where Reggae was hardly played(it was all about ska, rocksteady & most especially DanceHall)
Thank you . . . I tot I was being bias. . . especially as one of the best friends I've made on NL is from the Islands.

@Chiogo
No one in the UK speaks with any Jamaican accent.
How many times do I have to tell you.

Its usually a Frat party. College students, drinks, a lil smoke smoke.
Stripper dress, bang bang. . . . etc.

Actually Reggae songs are popular with the young generation. . . .
I know Bob Marley/80s reggae is popular with our generation.
That's why I kept talking about modern Jamaican music.

Those parties are legendary . . . if you mean the Asher Roth(I love College) type.

@the argument between Mzdarkskin, Eldee, and co. . . .I'll say that Jamaican music is appreciated in America mostly by youths. Reggae is played more at parties than Hip hop music, it's a fact. But American music generally tops the charts, why? America likes to be on top of everyone else.
What kind of parties do you go to that have Reggae spinning more than hiphop??
Do they also have people with long hair smoking cannabis?? grin grin

Itunes won't even let you share i-pod songs!!!!
