if i may ask you, why not remark your writing? if you have extra cash book another test too. let both ielts and wes be processed simultaneously, non would disturb each other. Abeg remark ooo don't dull.

Hello guys, I just wrote my IELTS and I got W 6.5, R 7.5, S 7.5, L, 8.5. I am about to do my WES but I know my IELTS is low. Should I go ahead and create an EE profile then rewrite IELTS to boost my CRS or should I rewrite the Exam first? With I have a BSC I'm 25 and My FSW is above 67.

You are a self employed applicant, please state the real thing that you are the owner, you will need some documents to proof this. page 1 has a link for self-employed PPR stories, check what the applicants submitted. you might have to up your score if you still have options of doing so. that 448 is not competitive at the moment. you will be fine dont be worried

Bhewkhorlar:

My CRS score is around 448 now

And my job description fits perfectly with manufacturing manager. My concern is do i have to state am the business owner or a staff? Because I get "drawings" and not salary

Please I would want the experts in the house yo advice me. I have a 1st degree in chemistry(2008) and a PGD in supply Chain management(2019). However I have been an entrepreneur in the fashion business for 9 years now. My Questions:
1. Do I go the federal skilled worker and trades route? You have to simulate your CRS score to decide that.
2. If I choose the fsw route can I claim NOC 0911 manufacturing manager with the title clothing factory manager? If you put up your JD that will determine your NOC code, its not always about the title but the JD involved.

I honestly don't want to make a mistake with this NOC bit

Yes you are right but only if you understand what PNP entails, NOC/relative in those provinces is a major thing. I happen to be in the category of those whose NOC is not in demand, have submitted EOI to some provinces but am falling short of that relative point (wich makes you competitive in their pool). If your NOC falls in 2113/2212 You will understand better. The above NOCs is where I have my JD. So people like us don’t rest until we exhaust all points we can get.

just caught up with the thread and i could see how @Tina26 was stressing on the need to increase your score if you have the options rather than hoping. majority didnt get the point but I fully understood this. am on 450 CRS and i can still raise it to 459, have booked ielts to make up this score. my birthday is coming again in next 6 months undecided

I know how tiring it is when you want to up your CRS score but its better to act than hope. I remain hopeful but I cant afford to sit and see people claim ITA while i sit on the gear of hope. I wrote ielts 8 times to get the needed score. I will advice anyone here who still have an option with that exam to retake it. am full of confidence right now and I believe I'll max out to take me to 459. A friend of mine once discouraged me not to write the exam again, telling me after 8 times that you were able to get the appropriate score you still want to write again? I said YES to him. only if you can dash me the 9points am looking for then i wont write again, He laughed it off.

so my point is dont be discouraged, exhaust all the options you can, you cant predict what the CRS would be next year. @Tina26 have said it all.

Dear Seniors,
Especially alumni from the University of Ibadan, I had sent my application to WES for ECA evaluation. They have received my transcripts and Certificate(which I faxed to them). But now they sent me a mail that they have mailed the University of Ibadan to verify my credentials.
My Question:
1.Since they said they sent an email and via courier, how fast can UI respond? it depends on your contact, during my time it was done effortlessly i didnt contact them, that was December 2017
2. Does anyone here who have gone through this give me a contact in UI that I can follow up with to help me with this so it wont take for ever? they sent me the verification mail yesterday. I dont have any as explained above
3. How did you go about this stage of verification by your University, how long did it take? from when the University verified your credentials how long did it take WES to complete the evaluation. between 3-4weeks

Thanks in anticipation for the replies.

please continue with your current passport, i thought you were about to renew it, try to get the separation document before entering the pool if you know you dont want to enter the pool as married to avoid unnecessary explanation of misrepresentation. if you get the doc then you can apply as separated. but entering the pool before getting the doc is termed misrepresentation because the date on separation doc and that of entering the pool will contradict each other.

REBEKITAB123:
Thank a lot for your contribution, but can i not just continue with the passport even with the divorce, because the passport is still very recent changing it would be like waste of funds.i can change the name on the passport after its expiration or is there any rule stating that i must change my name on my passport after the divorce, for the EE aplication? i'm just asking for more clarification. i
Thank You.

I’d advice you go for option 3, when you have successfully done that. You can use that document to proceed with your passport process because they will ask for divorce documents or the option 3 you stated below.

For your question 1: get option 3 done and enter the pool as separated.

Others can weigh in their opinions. All the best

REBEKITAB123:
Good Morning All, i am also new to Nairaland i just created my account today. although i ve been reading a lot of post in here, i never knew i add to register to be able to comment. Anyways i have a lot of questions and i beg all the gurus in the house to please answer me. i ve registered for IELTS exam and also paid for IQAS .
1)I'm Married but my husband deserted my 2 kids and i since 2015. i just initiated a divorce proceeding on the 7th of this month simple because of the EE process so as not to involve him for any medical etc. With the way Nigerian litigation process is, do i enter the pool a married or divorced?

2)If divorced, do i have to do a new passport have my maiden name or i can continue with present passport having my marital name.

3)Do i just get a separation agreement and apply to a family court for custody of my Kids. Since i know the Divorce process will take forever in Nigeria

I don't know what to do now. Pls kindly private message me.i do not know if it is compulsory to evaluate the diploma or I should delete it since I have bsc

any idea about this?

Eraytee:
please i just need more light on this, as regards this sask PNP, if you have invested your money in mutual funds for over 3 months prior to sask PNP ita, will this be accepted as POF or it has to be a liquid cash in your account over the stated period?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Eraytee: 7:00pm On Oct 19, 2019
the previous draw was for FST not FSW (which is the category you belong). you need to up your score as the pool is not smiling presently with people with very high scores. As regards a sudden increase in your account, you need to provide an explaination to the lump sum, if you get it as a gift from family, you would provide a gift deed... details is on page 1.

for PCC I think that is not a problem, all you need is to get a contact person that can do the running around for you..... page 1 also has the details of PCC.

i'll advice you to rewrite that ielts because of your CRS score and the expiration on the result.

if you have email correspondence from where you did your NYSC, print it out to back your claim of not getting the reference letter. then you can get a colleague you worked with at that time to sign the reference letter and also notarize it.

others can weigh in their opinion too.
jamela:

Thanks. Do I get invited for sure if my score is higher than the cut-off? I'm currently at 449 and i see the lowest score as of 16th october was 357. What do you think are my chances? If I get ITA, won't a sudden increase in my bank statement raise eyebrows?

As for IELTS I still need help with this so please anyone help.
Also how can I get a police certificate in Nigeria? I'm currently in the UK. And how do I go about getting an alternative document for work experience as my previous work place (Nysc) people have refused to give me a letter due to God knows what's wrong with them.

Sorry for too many questions

please enter the pool asap, you dont need POF to be in the pool, you have all it takes already, as regards IELTS i think it has to be valid as at the time you submit your application post-ITA. am not sure of it but people with more valid info should advice accordingly. tie-break rule is not a friendly something please endevour to submit your profile.

jamela:
Hi all,

I have all my WES documents now. And I have IELTS band score 8 which expires in December this year. The only issue is I don't have the funds to show ready yet. Can I submit to enter the pool without the money in the bank just yet? I plan to get the money immediately I am invited to apply (ITA) by the Canadian authorities.

Also would I be required to still have a valid IELTS result after I have been invited?. Example: my IELTS expires 6th December 2019, and I am invited to apply November 15th 2019, would I still need another IELTS test result?
