MadamExcellency: Why should Aba alone have its own Electricity distribution company alone supplied from TCN when the city also has a private Geometric Power Station with 140 Mwatts serving the city alone?
There is definitely something in that Aba that Nigerians don't know.
Its all about power grid, if people are willing to press forward of Gencos supplier their local areas 1st before going to the National Grid, wont that be awesome?
Realguyman1: Which plan are u talking about? Na power most of them wey I know for here take dey do their own. Some of them na omonile, why some of them get their approvals from the omoniles them. Once those omoniles done give them go ahead, they don't care if government exists again.
And those government taxforce in charge of the environmental stuff are the ones making things worst. They that are supposed to tell them to stop from the onset, "they will just collect their own share and move on", because they know they are not the ones that will be affected when everything burst out tomorrow.
Wow then they have themselves to blame then cos i cant spend almost N70m to build a house and rely on Omonile permit that's is plain silliness
Realguyman1: Most Nigerians that their structures are being demolished deserve it.
Here in my area, u will see people building houses and stores close to nepa transformers and even under powerlines. Many also build block where erosion supposed dey pass. And the most annoying thing is that they all know what they are doing is abnormal but still goes ahead to do it at of greed.
TyroneP: ‘Japa’, a lingo in Nigeria for deliberate exit from the country especially for greener pastures abroad, has been a constant happening over the last few years with students, professionals and partners forming the chunk of those fleeing its shores.
As enticing as the idea of being in a relatively ‘better’ country is, the experiences of people who have left have continued to prove that truly ‘there is no place like home.’ Taking a look at the diverse peculiarities of Nigeria, here are five things you will miss if you find yourself abroad. Nigerian Foods
Food is peculiar to every country. And Nigeria, with its plethora of ethnic groups, has a slew of foods its citizens don’t joke with. From Amala, to Akpu, Ogbono, Bread and Beans down to Moi Moi, these are foods that are dear to every Nigerian, and no amount of civilization can unplug the relish for these foods.
The moment you are leaving the shores of the country, you are as well leaving behind these ‘unique’ delectables whose tastes are never the same even when taken outside of their place of origin ( Largely because they’re transported to other markets with lots of additives that change the organic tastes ).
2. Weather
If there is a thing in Nigeria that is highly underappreciated, it is the weather. Nigerians in the diaspora have always expressed their struggles with the frosty weather abroad, and how much they miss the cozy and friendly weather in the country.
3. Family and Friends
Moving to a new country most times entails leaving behind family members and friends who you might not see for as long as your stay abroad. Though technology helps us connect beyond boundaries, the feeling of being physically around your family members and friends is matchless.
4. Owambe
Nigeria is ‘big’ on parties – and that is on period. Flamboyant, lavish, expensive, food-filled, dramatic, these features of the Owambe parties are unequaled anywhere in the world. It is one of the many things that make Nigeria exclusive, and being in the country unparalleled.
5. Free Amenities
Abroad you pay for almost everything from as high as electricity bills to as low as water bills. Their social amenities are prioritized, and it works in a way that you cannot evade paying for the bills of the amenities you use. In Nigeria, water bills are scarce as almost everyone has their own system of getting water; indiscriminate parking of cars is common but can’t be dared abroad without you being ticketed.
2 weather, that depends on where you japa to,3 you can still have family abroad and you make new friends, cos 20 friends cannot play together for 20 years.4, ahah Abroad is where the real owambe is ie London south east,5 Free what? there is no free amenities in Nigeria, you may have to pay for Air in Nigeria soon
casualobserver: You know how we buy fuel at gas stations and the attendant keeps filling trying to put more petrol in the tank even though the nozzle has tripped? Well, you are damaging your purge valve. Never fill your tank beyond the 1st click of the fuel nozzle. It will eventually damage your purge valve and vapor canister. The vapor canister is designed for fumes not overflow of liquid petrol which is what happens when your force too much petrol into your car.
There is a reason the nozzle goes “click”. But Nigerians are uninformed. DO not allow the attendant to continue to put petrol into your tank after the 1st “click”
Do not listen to all these quacks telling you to remove your tank or fuel pump. OP Listen to this person he is the only one here who has a clue as to what is wrong with your car, Gas fumes cannot escape from your tank once it is over filled so it shuts down the Engine
Scan your car 1st.

Gajagojo: Rambling They don't tax car yearly in the UK?
My road tax is zero pounds,I have a Diesel bmw 320, I dnt have to pay tax on it cos its bellow the emission threshold to be taxed/ Like I said B4, if you dont know something just aske and get more knowledge instead of being a jerk
Gajagojo: You still have to back.up your claims with facts I gave you a fact VAT in Nigeria is 7.5% compared with 17.5% in the UK It increased this month to 20% That is indirect tax. In the UK Petrol and diesel are taxed with VAT =20% In Nigeria petrol and diesel are subsidised Your claim is just nonsense, ignorant rubbish. Whether indirect or direct .The total tax collected is not an unknown thing or a secret In Nigeria it is 5% of GDP compared to nearly 30% in the UK. We are talking of a country where government taxed your property if you die before your family can inherit.
I thought I was talking to someone with sense I just realised I talking with someone with no single brain, I was in Nigeria Jan to feb this year, My car is a Range rover 3.0 SDV Diesel, I bought DIesel @ N820 .ANd you are here saying its subsidised, is ur brain wet or something, look when you get educated enough or better still brave enough to use your real User name, I repeat when you are brave enough to come back with your real User name respond appropriately till then Foxtrot Oscar plz.
Nigerians get extorted by police You pay so called road worthyness you licence ur car yearly and tax ur car yearly in Nigeria/ Traders in stalls and Small business get issued multiple taxation If you own a transport service or commercial vehicle like I do to support, my Biz you get up to 10 stickers as multiple taxation. You pay for electricity you see none. You pay multiple tax when starting a building until you finish. YOu dont want me to start with Uni and higher education tax
Gajagojo: You still have to back.up your claims with facts I gave you a fact VAT in Nigeria is 7.5% compared with 17.5% in the UK It increased this month to 20% That is indirect tax. Ok Im back from wrk lets go, In the Uk I will list the Tax everyone has to pay Council tax PAYE National Insurance, Thats all you have to pay every other Tax is optional
Gajagojo: By what measure do we pay more tax than the UK is it VAT 17.5% UK versus 7.5% Nigeria Personal income tax Inheritance tax Company a tax Council
Tax to GDP Ratio?
I gave you a statistic That in Nigeria we pay 5% taxes a proportion of GDP compared to nearly 30% for the UK
So if you have alternative stats share We pay 5 TIMES LESS TAX THAN THE UK
So what you said is wrong TOTALLY. Nigeria is One of the least taxed places on earth
What do you mean by rate of comprehension? All of that is diversionary or shakara to hide the fact you don't know what you are talking about
Face the issue Nigeria is low tax
Im i n a hurry to go to work so cant type much
You think tax is defined by monies you pay that goes directly to Govt? have you not heard of indirect tax? like this situation we are talking about is one of them indirect tax, any levy you pay that is somewhat backed by at least a local authority is a kind of tax, starting from monies thigs collect from erecting a fence is a tax, Deve is a tax,Agbero are agents of taxation, Police one the road tax people, Landlords in lagos already pay tax, there is even proposal to pay tax on rented properties. Let me stop here will continue after work
Gajagojo: This is a mistake Nigeria is One of the least taxed places in Africa e.g Ghana is taxing about 14% of GDP compared to 5% Nigeria UK 30% So we should be able to absorb more taxes The reason we don't hold politicians to account is because they are not spending tax but oil revenues and money that doesn't come from our pocket If we were funding government with tax will there be vote buying?
Again, off point, your rate of comprehension is way off key, I SIMPLY SAID WE PAY MORE TAXES IN NIGERIA MORE THAN THE UK, where on earth you got Ghana or Africa from is another topic for next day
lildush: Ok ooo. So are u defending. The ministry of transportation for implementing this levey? The hardship is already much on the masses. Taking more money from Dem in the name of tax is not the way out. The government is sopos to implement friendly policies. And empowerthe masses. But it's d oda way round. It's well
Nop read what I wrote again, I was supporting your response to that guy
lildush: See dis 1. Suffer no dey Taya u? Am sure ur 1 of the people who voted for APC.. enjoy ur sanwolu 🤣🤣🤣
its very evident that he has no clue how the clearing system works, these so called Sate Agents are asked the releasing authority inside the port not to allow any vehicle to leave without proof of payments of this new levy and he is there typing craap!
Gajagojo: Try to learn to communicate without patronising people
Do not go around assuming you know more than the next person.99% of the time you will be wrong. First understand what is being said before correcting people
We are operating or should be operating a federal system and state Governments will continue to push the boundaries With this development LASG is tearing up the status quo And we expect to see cases in court
Status quo is not necessarily or always constitutional
U are throwing another big word into it without addressing the issues I raised, the people complaining here are not end users rather the clearing agents who have access to Dealer number plates, I made mentions of this as it addresses you reasoning as to why these should be paid to the Lagos state govt.U claimed Insurance and car registration should be obtained B4 cars are allowed to be in Lag roads, I address this issue with a singular response that the Dealer number plate takes care of all this and you are here talking about me learning not to patronise you when clearly you are the one doing such
Gajagojo: Why the FG? The tax is a road usage tax . The equivalent of the vehicle licence tax paid for 12 months but in this case it is for one month.
Ideally if a vehicle is not registered it should not be on the road . If it is on the road it should pay the road usage tax and it should have 3rd party insurance. In Some countries you should pay for temporary number plates or the vehicle is carried on a truck or in a container.unlicensed or unregistered vehicles should not be driven without registration and insurance
I think you have heard of few roads concepts, and you are getting it all mixed up. Vehicles from ports are not meant to be licensed without prior inspection hence there is a Dealer number plate, and a Dealer has what we call a trade Insurance hence they can drive their unregistered cars with their own number plates on the road./SO with what they have just done they are saying if there is no proof of these payments the car should not be released from the port, is that not mad? with he road tax bit I get it but unregistered cars will be registered eventually so there should ays of grace,
Lady accosts her husband of 22yrs at his side-chick's home
@ 1:05 of the clip she said they are Separated but legally married still, As confirmed by her the man has the right to be with a next woman, he is braking no law, they are separated simple, why is she shouting, someone plz educate her!
Itsrm: This is blasphemy. You should check out the newly rehabilitated Ijebu Ode-Ore/Benin. You can drive for an hour 30 minutes with your eyes closed while maxing out your speedometer if you wish.
Same experience with some sections of Lagos to Ibadan, Sagamu to Abeokuta and many others.
Simple question, do you remember what road hazards are? Are you talking about those roads with no streetlight or markings or reflectors? You think those are roads for speed?
Obinoscopy: INEC adhoc staff were mostly NYSC Youth Corp Members. While going through some result sheets on IREV, the following result sheets (see attached picture) revealed that some of our Corp Members are "olodo". You would expect the Corp Members to be well educated as they purportedly graduated from tertiary institutions.
Picture 1: The INEC adhoc staff is writing 8 as "eate" instead of eight. Writing 88 as "eate ete" instead of eighty eight. And writing 187 as "one eate seven" instead of one hundred and eighty seven.
Picture 2: The adhoc staff wrote 57 as "fivety seven" instead of fifty seven. Writing 46 as "fourty six" instead of forty six. And writing 100 as "one hundret" instead of one hundred.
Picture 3: The INEC adhoc staff wrote 207 as "two zero seven" instead of two hundred and seven.
What do you have to say about this sorry situation?
If you was clever you will know that ws a rigged result and was not written by the NYSC staff,
NoToPile: Thats for a paying tenant whose rent has not expired, for an owing tenant he is already a tenant at will see what google says to about a tenant at will.
Good lecture some people just open their phone and type the 1st thing that come into their head. Once one fail to pay rent they are no longer on the side of the law and this can happen, The only way the law can be slightly on their side is if they have any mitigating factors ie family and young kids but I'm afraid joblessness due to loss of work is not one of them
