You're right but that doesn't make everyone who made a point here a liar, just because some people are. After all, we're all anonymous here. Those who know me can attest to the fact that I'm worth even more than what I said. All the artisans, the architect,suppliers, masons engaged for my property in lagos alone were sourced from the property section on Nairaland and they're pro to the core. I don't have to blow my trumpet cos its not necessary. They know me. I just told you why I can't live at lekki period.

just to prove a point. I had a plot inside uncle Okunu Estate, not too far from manor house if you truly live in lekki but sold it. A plot i bought for 100m in 2010. Lekki my foot I reiterate. Tell me if all I said about lekki wasn't the truth.

No be una wan stay for lekki? Fake lifestyle, running generator 24/7, living always in fears with most places with green floors and mosquito infested environment where water can't be used to bathe or flush the toilet without being treated with floods everywhere blocking driveways.

I have money to build in lekki but I chose not to. My friend working with an oil and gas compamy who built there ended up selling it and moving with me to the mainland. I enjoy steady power supply with good environment in the estate where I live with family. Before the national grid collapsed, we were enjoying electricity for at least 20 hours daily. When traveling overseas or within , I always get to the airport ahead of those coming from that side. I still wonder what they're seeing there.

Lekki insecurity is worse even now. If care isn't taken, you could be picked and taken off to a ritualist den unnoticed. There's a boy who's been missing since early march who went to work at lekki so he wouldn't stay home doing nothing due to ASUU strike. He's not been found till date. We always pray that he returns home safely. His name is Samson Adeola Ajayi, a UI student. He got to same lekki and never returned. Some people said they sighted him around lekki that morning he went missing, meaning he actually got to lekki before his disappearance. He never reported for work. There's only one road leading there from the mainland. The government keeps using 4th mainland bridge to campaign every 4 years. Hope we'd reason well next year by not falling for their lies again. Putin said EU countries should come and be buying gas in Russian currency, even gave them a deadline to do so or forget about supply of gas. EU called his bluff but nothing happened. Russia still sells gas to the few ones who didn't cut ties with them. Russia now wants to sell their gas to anybody at a very cheap cost because there's gas glut in Russia. Nobody dey buy again. Only a few buyers are now on their customer's list. EU countries have begun to think out of the box by wooing gas producing nations including Nigeria for gas supply. Lobatan.

Putin bragged that they'd end their mission in Ukraine in a matter of days, they're still there. Thousands of their armies had fallen, several of their ammunition worth billions of dollars had been destroyed. They ran away from Kyiv.

Let them nuke just one country and Russia would be a forgotten country

What more can I say? Only a coward talks like this. No powerful country talks this way. You only see them via their actions not their voice.

I'm in my early 30s, I've got a bsc in sociology, a master's degree in statistics and like a dozen other professional degrees in human resource management, gerentology, demography, financial risk management, oil and gas services, pmp and so on.

Infact I'm basically one of the most educated individuals I've met. The sad part is I've never made a cent off my educational qualifications.
Heck I work in a totally different industry and make a good living which I'm definitely not going to trade for social work or psychology, so this past few days I get myself thinking what a waste of Time and resources that was, I literarily spent millions on my education, even relocating abroad to study but it was all a goddamn waste of time, all I got is a useless paper I'm never going to use.

My advice to young ones out there is to set your goals right and stupid untraditional ideas is better than no ideas. You don't necessarily have to pursue a degree to be okay in life.

As a sociology graduate, you should have developed yourself in the education sector...by now you'd have become a senior lecturer in a university, doing well. You can't study sociology and expect an employment in a blue chip, FMCG company, or manufacturing companies. You can't be hired as a marketer, an accountant , an admin personnel, a quality control personnel, etc., when you studied sociology. Banking is another profession where you can work with any qualification, but they're not doing direct hiring anymore. They now outsource employment and the agents pay their staff a paltry. Our choice and course of study at times influence our chances of employment. I was to study marketing in those days. Only 2 universities in Nigeria were offering this course as degree while others offered it as diploma. Uniport and Unical were those 2 universities. I decided to go to a polytechnic instead, not because I was dull as most people think about poly students but because of my personal choice. I beat Unical cut off point but I knew the course was better studied in a poly due to my research. The one year Industrial Training experience too wasn't there in the university. I had my IT in a foremost FMCG company who also employed me a few years after I graduated as a regional rep after working with a couple of foremost companies due to my outstanding performance during my IT year. Today, I've earned MSc and MBA in foremost universities in the world. The choice we make at times matters. It's not just about going to the university but to study what and why that course...

It's never too late bro. If you had a good grade, apply to any of the universities ( private ones to be precise) . You'd get a job earlier than you think.

It's not good to advise youths against going to school instead, advise them to think before choosing that course. Some ,out of the pressure from their peers...maybe they couldn't succeed in studying the course they preferred at one trial, they now gave up and went for any how course just to earn the title of a university student. This is very bad. You dont give up because you failed rather you try again . I've seen soneome who wrote jamb 4 times to study medicine. Today, he's a medical doctor in the UK, doing well. His friends who couldn't endure the wait had to choose another course which they ended up regretting. One of them dropped out in ife as a biochem student.

Russia once said they'd not stay more than 2 weeks to finish their operations in Ukraine. Now you and I know what's up. Those tanks, jets , warships, etc cost billions of dollars man! It took them years to garner them.

Now there's gas glut in Russia, nobody is buying and economy is suffering hugely. Na pesin wey belle full dey misbehave naw. Now that they're hungry, they'd learn the hard way because their economy would never be the same again. Foolish Putin
