bukatyne:Thanks. |
bukatyne:Very unfortunate. You're one of the few people on this forum whose post/comments on threads makes me go to the 1st page to follow the story from the beginning. Well done. |
Acidosis:Thanks a lot. |
Acidosis:I'm currently courting. Amen o. |
Dear OP, I know a woman but not personally that retired as a level 16 Federal Pay Officer last year. She worked in Ibadan and the hubby was in Lagos with the children. She visited often and she did this till her retirement. You both should come to an agreement as the kids you're emphasising on are the products of the LOVE you share with your spouse therefore he ought to come first. This is what a friend who is married for close to 15 years taught me. |
Imogenn:There's nothing like undesirable age as someone stated earlier. From your former post, I think you're a church goer but you should be conversant with the Word as it's the man's duty to find and you preparing yourself to be found by getting better emotionally, financially.... I hope you're not someone who thinks she must be in a relationship to be complete and at all points in time, you never want to be single. Singleness is a very good chapter in everyone's life and it's your duty to make the most of it. What achievements will you show your kids to spur them to greatness when you get married? Concerning your worries about being antisocial, i know that its the possibility of not being found by a man that's your fear but I'll tell you about an antisocial friend of mine that detests hanging out and after getting to the same undesirable age as you, she had challenges that made her depressed but upon recovery, she thought no-one may want to identify with her upon hearing her story. She maximised her singleness and a colleague from her university where they were both served in the choir, came and started expressing his interest in her, she was sceptical but gave it a trial and in less than 6 months they're planning their wedding. In the WhatsApp group of the choir they both belonged to back on campus, she's a passive member to have been noticed by the guy since years after we graduated but he came out of the blues and the rest they say is history. In summary, stop worrying about your singleness and if you'll see a good man. Start working on the value you'll add to yourself, your man and your unborn kids. Be optimistic but not anxious as everything will happen at the right time. Listen to Myles Munroe on The Myth of Singleness. |
I'm happy for you. Do have a safe trip home. You're welcome. Looking forward to your update. Take care and all the best in your endeavours. nwanneni: |
I no dey vex o. Never mind about the gift. Looking forward to reading your success story and accomplishment of the purpose of the trip soonest. nwanneni: |
Apologies accepted, I'm also sorry. I'm based in Lagos. nwanneni: |
No need to call you Mr Nwanneni. I now understand what you meant earlier. I don't stalk you Sir. I only came across your thread on family section few days ago. Do have a great week ahead. nwanneni: |
You were the first to use the word stupid now you take offense when I did as you did. Stupid people have capacity to make it even if it's on rare occasions Mr Early Success. nwanneni: |
I was never rude but the over bloated ego of your early success has made you think everyone should always align with you at all times. I don't stalk you Logobenz but the forum is open to all Mr Smart. I wonder what your comfort has to do with the topic of discussion. What's the essence of you singing your praise when you're not listed on Forbes List or Who is Who in the world of anything with your early comfort Logobenz. nwanneni: |
Okay meant that I get your point but as you tried to sound intelligent you rather showcased the extent of your stupidity. How dare you accuse me of being rude and stupid. You have a very big problem. Just seek for help from professionals because you need it. nwanneni: |
Okay nwanneni: |
He said Blessing is lives larger than him Sir nwanneni: |
handie:Wow. Your story is inspiring as you didn't look at how far you ought to have gone. I pray that you go over those that think they have gone ahead of you. All the best in your endeavours. |
truthsayer009:I think you quoted Acidosis wrongly. Reread his post. |
logan2:Thank you for being honest. You learnt your lesson and learnt to define what you want in a woman. |
I hope you've taken your meds this cool morning. I don't troll so don't be silly. You can comment without quoting me and typing nonsense AstroG: |
You attract your kind OP regardless of sex. Good ladies abound I must tell you but what type of ladies are you attracted to. The type that are visionary, focused, loyal.... are boring to you. It seems you prefer the flashy ones/slay queens that are adventurous..... and you complain of their greed. Do a deep soul search and be honest with yourself the kind of ladies you approach and tell yourself the truth. Don't generalize please. I speak on behalf of every good lady you have find it hard to decipher because you may have been attracted to glitters as it said that not all that glitters is gold. What do you look out for in women before making out with them? |
This thread is front page worthy MODS. Depression is the topic discussed now on all media and even in religious places (churches) but when someone commits suicide, it graces the FP. Seun if this can be Nairaland CSR project by promoting this thread to help people struggling as we don't know if the next news of suicide that'll grace FP will be that of a nairalander that would have had a rethink if he had seen this thread. Let's do the needful and not only everything Regina Daniels, Tonto et al should always be on FP, some of us are TIRED. |
I was gisting with married male colleagues who wished they had taken the risk of getting married earlier (24-26) on their lower income than waiting to be comfortable but reckoned that the current state of the economy is not favourable to take such risk only if you marry your best friend and other factors. I know a man that got married in his late 30s when he was VERY comfortable working in an IOC, moved to a bank and also worked in big4, life happened and he became less comfortable and is still working to train his kids in the university in his 60s and his friend that graduated from the university and married immediately after his NYSC finished training his 2 sons about 15 years ago and this man I mentioned earlier depends on him for support to run his home. We don't know tomorrow, a man that is comfortable today may not be in couple of years to come regardless of the structures (investments) he has put in place only if he's certain of generational wealth that may never run out. There's no guarantee that he'll recover and do better when it happens. The Holy book says despise not the days of little beginning but it seems some of the men here don't believe in such. What if the man becomes incapacitated tomorrow after waiting to be comfortable to get married, the monies will then be used to fight to keep him alive when he could have started the marriage journey earlier with the passion to get better financially. |
Why do you need a calabar girl? What do you have to offer her? Why do you deem yourself worthy of a calabar girl? |
OP, it's not enough reason for the girl to live a wayward life. In govt schools, it's easier to do business than private universities. She should have looked for how to earn a living alongside her studies. Children of nowadays have entitlement mentality. The parents have ensured she gets university education. She could have resolved to reduce the burden by helping herself legitimately. What if they're no more, she'll become a high class prostitute or Dubai porta pottie would be an option? ![]() |
Thanks but I wanted recommendations as Jumia has wide ranges of products to select from so I don't make a wrong choice. Chukwurah003: |
Good day, my friend is an upcoming artist that likes to play the piano but unfortunately doesn't have one. I want to gift him one for his birthday if it's affordable. I need help on how much it would cost, type and brand as I know nothing. Mods please move to FP. |
Why do we support absurdities in Africa? He's billed for the wedding, get ready to be billed for naming, child dedication..... Some women advising him to pay as much as half are funny to me. Coming into a family doesn't mean I should be taken advantage of. The groom to be could have pleaded for support through the wife and not DEMAND as if they're doing him a favour because he married their daughter that brings nothing to the table currently. I'll be a wife tomorrow but should my parents try that with my hubby.... I hope this will not be passed to generations and we term it normal in the name of one family. The groom to be should cut his coat according to his CLOTHE as na so e dey take start. I'm struggling not to be tribalistic here but I can't help it as I know the family would likely be from the south **** likewise the supporters club. |
Samshumy:Your addition @ bolded or prove me wrong. I pray your wife in the long run would always be grateful to God for being her hubby but if otherwise, you've failed as a husband. |
Good for your woman. Do you live by the precepts of the Holy book? If yes, state where it said that men should be worshipped for us to learn. Samshumy: |
A good man does a woman no favour marrying her. The good book says in Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. I hope you aren't a Christian and even if you claim to be one, you may just be a churchgoer. Happy Easter. Samshumy: |
