Acidosis:It is well sir. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Thanks dear |
ashewoboy:Thanks sir. You too. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Ku yat esit ufan. |
ashewoboy:I'm not complaining uncle. Why're you assuming that he's looking for a wife and can't he assume a different persona in peace? Some people here wouldn't even do as he does but mail the lady straight up while some are disciplined to joke in the open with no intention of chasing. Happy new month and Sunday. Have a great day ahead. |
Mart1994:Please when next you quote me, write in a manner that's comprehensive or don't quote me at all. Point of correction, I spoke for myself. I've never taken the men I ever came across with for granted. I'm still in contact with my exes and we're friends still. I'm sorry about your experience with women as I don't have the characteristics you described above. I hope you don't look forward to becoming a father to girls that'll grow to become women. I have what I want as my wedding invitation card was delivered today. Mail me to invite you if you're in Lagos. |
A selfless man who isn't loquacious, well behaved and I can look up to in certain aspects. |
ashewoboy:I hold him in high esteem as his comments are one of those I look forward to on this forum. Why is his choice of addressing me your concern? |
Our Daily Manna TOPIC: THE PHILADELPHIA SODA TAX! Basic scripture: 2 SAMUEL 6: 1-11 Some years ago, in her fight against WEIGHT GAIN (OBESITY), the city of Philadelphia in USA passed a “soda tax” – a US $1 tax on a typical 2-litre bottle of soft drink! But the citizens/residents didn’t lose weight or cut calories as a result of the tax on sweetened drinks, neither was there a shift towards any healthier option. Instead, most PHILADELPHIANS just drove outside the city to buy the same drinks, from stores where they didn’t have to pay the tax. Gosh! The result was that the poorest people – who could not afford to drive outside the city to buy their drinks, paid more! In the end, the city suffered a loss of revenue due to lower sales whereas the lower section of society paid more! This is another example of an unintended consequence for a well-intentioned idea! Likewise, because you are human, sometimes, your well planned goals do not produce results! I know of believers who married early to avoid fornication, but alas, they made marital mistakes due to limited knowledge on what marriage was all about! They meant well, but failed! I also know of believers who made financial mistakes despite the fact that their goal was to become kingdom financiers and financial pillars in the house of God! I know of a Christian sister who went back to her marriage in the name of forgiving an abusive husband, but today, she is dead! She died two weeks after returning to her home! She had good intentions but the consequence was deadly! This was the devotional message on the 16th of August. Dear OP, the closing paragraph is my message as you wear the shoes and know where it hurts. |
bLacKGoLd3:Amen sir. |
Jetland:The care you mean, is it financial care as women are now in the labour force to support the home front. Therefore if they're both working to improve/sustain their standard of living as a family, they'll have to define their roles as the sole duty of providing is shared and she can't be expected to do all in the house. The reason I don't want to reckon with the saying of Calabar women knowing how to cook but don't run world class restaurants but pride in cooking skills ![]() All these men saying that a woman who can't cook stands no chance, when they find themselves in saner climes, cooking skills will never be a top prerequisite to be considered for marriage. All Nigerian ladies should therefore aim to relocate to saner climes. ![]() |
lordweezy:Please I think you should reassess the type of women you deal with as I don't have that mentality by default. Receiving for a man for me is a privilege as the act may have been borne out of love or altruism. Not a bad idea if she can afford a cook and work on other areas of her strength to make the marriage work especially if he knew prior to marriage that the kitchen isn't her forte. |
Adonko:You're still making excuses for crime sir, my parents were comfortable, but life happened and we became broke. Dad lost his job, mum's health deteriorated and she couldn't work. I started learning to subject myself to work hard than demean myself by engaging in prostitution... to make ends meet. I focused on needs only and not wants. These criminals can meet their needs legitimately if they want to but rather it's their wants that's insatiable they want to satisfy. The reason they come on social media to display their purported success. It takes a man of integrity to face poverty head on bearing in mind that he's on track to change his status but how soon, he can't say. I can't be with a man without integrity as I don't want offsprings I'd worry about in the future. I have a personal brand to build that transcends beyond just having money by any means. The government has done nothing for me but I can't wait for them as my destiny is in my hands. It's easy to trade blame when we fail than accept responsibility for our actions. Why didn't they collectively come together to oust the government, take over power and put the right things in place to make the country work...... |

Acidosis:Thanks sir. |
ashewoboy:I can't access the mail I used in opening this account and what does it profit me to lie. |
ashewoboy:I'm getting married sir. ![]() |
ashewoboy:Cooking is a chore and not a hobby for me. I'd rather hire a professional cook than perfect a skill I wouldn't want to commercialise as long I know beyond the basics. I work hard to earn to ease my living sir. You can look elsewhere as I have a wedding to plan. ![]() |
IamPlato:That's harsh. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Mfanaibagha dear |
Dear OP, you just want to be fat because you want a bunch of nobodies to respect you. I think that's preposterous. Why not achieve a level of success that makes you earn respect beyond food. I'm of a small stature and weigh 50kg. I'm in my mid 20s and people tell me I'm underweight but when I go for check up, all is always well and that's what matters to me while I focus on my career and build relationships and with this, I'll earn the respect I deserve. I'm not a food person and care less about my stature as people think I'm in my early 20s but then I'm a chartered accountant with years of experience. I'll only think of weight when doctors say it's necessary for child bearing. |
hucknall:Accepted. Good night. |
Prestonn:That's so kind of you. |
hucknall:I'm not a toddler to be ordered around sir. Is my being awake a nightmare to you? Learn to be courteous as first impression is everything. You don't quote me rudely as I don't troll on this forum. If expressing myself doesn't sit well with you, please don't hesitate to break your phone. Have a great stress free week ahead incase you're a productive person. |
I've been following this interesting story and hopes it turns out for the best for the OP. I feel she may be older than you and I hope she wouldn't mind if she finds that out. I'm amazed that a woman can humble this OP. Truly, never underrated/underestimate the power of a woman. |
Prestonn:Congrats Preston aka Chasers. It's my 1st time commenting in this section as I can't keep calm as you deserve to be celebrated. I saw how you deactivated but was delighted upon your return and now this. I was telling a colleague at work that passion gives monetary rewards either directly or not to the owner. Yours just did. God bless you and give you more and better than this. I hope those that criticized you earlier in humility acknowledge the fact that it's your passion and accord you the respect you deserve and encourage their wards to pursue their passion with utmost alacrity. |
Dear OP, you didn't mention if you're making efforts to leave the school soon by applying for jobs. |
Do you mean those of us based there or of the origin scattered across the world? |
[quote author=Anas09 post=80039966]You expected a muslims to respect you? Na wa for you o. [/quote Lol |
