Buhari is actually doing us proud, and carrying our shoulders up for us(but people with inferiority complex would always complain)

What people dont know is that thousands of South Africans seek naija visa just for our pastors miracle, chinese and indian drag it for job and to come and hustle.. even when we hike our prices for US citizens they had to retaliate

To the People lamenting, VISAs are for foriengners not Nigerians, so why are you complaining again unbehalf of Indians, South Africans and others

..
I'm not a Buhari supporter but your post is understandably spot on!

Thank you.
The way the youths support and encourage all sorts of things in Nigeria is becoming very unsettling.
Glad I am out of that place.

Don't be so sure. When a fellow driver considers the possibility of appearing online, he would think twice before engaging in such thing. Not everyone is shameless.

The guy knew there was almost nothing she could do and that is why he was so audacious. She decided to harnessing the power of social media. Anything could come from it but regardless of the outcome, it's good she voiced out. Let's criticise a bad thing for the sanity of our society please.

he wasn't harrassing her

People meet in all places and positions. Ge happened to meet her in his line of work, akin to a banker meeting his wife, who happens to be a customer, at his place of work, or a lawyer, meeting a potential wife in court.

He simply expressed interest and she could have handled it better, even worse, she brought a private discussion to public space to catch clout with Chibuzor's name and enter the Honorary list of Hard Babes that have turned down guys. She was incredibly childish on two counts, and as such, his supposed lack of professionalism should be forgiven, by virtue of her poor handling of this situation. Make she no go block road for another babe that could have met a guy through Uber, with her fake sense of importance
Dude, this has happened to me before and it as was annoying. A cashier at the bank texted me with such unsolicited romantic lines just cause she got my number from a deposit slip, such indolence. I felt threatened and I couldn't use the bank branch next time cause it was obvious there was no privacy there. It was a romantic text that day, it could be a threat the next day.

The driver violated her privacy. You don't go texting people on WhatsApp if they didn't give you their contact. If we condone this, how will people feel free to use their numbers on Uber? You even ask a fellow if you could reach him on WhatsApp not to talk of a lady. You don't go typing trash on WhatsApp cause she trusted you enough not to use her number for anything other than work. There's no excuse for his action. The lady was upset and he could have ended it promptly but no. Good he got served. Hopefully, he will respect the ethics of his profession next time.

What the guy did was wrong professionally but the lady's response is haughty and condescending. She sounds like a snob. Our reaction to an action speaks for us too.

And what if the guy was genuine and wanted to build a home with this chick? His action would have been pardonable and acceptable.
He was going about it the wrong way, that's the simple truth. If a girl did this, the story would have been different. That's not how to build a home.
Travel › Re: Bolt Driver Text Lady After A Ride, Lady Shares Chat by etrange: 5:52pm On Oct 26, 2019
Why are you guys not condemning the Chibuzor idiot who took advantage of his kind of job to harass his client? Such lack of professionalism. There's nothing wrong in wooing a girl but this one is violation of privacy. Why didn't he tell her how he felt before they parted ways and ask if he could call or text her later?

Why do we guys see the these dirty things and support them in the name of guy support for guys? How do we expect the society to be better with this unbecoming attitude? Imagine if it was a lady that did this, we would all be shouting "olosho", "destiny killer", "LovePeddler", "useless" and other unprintable things. Now it's a guy, it's suddenly right. Some are still blaming the lady who's clearly the victim here. Imagine the FTC guy read the entire thing and all he could do was to find a way to insult the lady.

Y'all are just ridiculous.

Right and wrong are subjective sometimes. While I agree making someone an outcast is not good, at the same time remember vantage points differ. An outcast who is very wealthy for example, does the outcast status still matter?
However ambiguous it was from you POV, it never implied there was another son at least. So your question was somewhat sarcastic and unappealing.

Making someone an out cast is not good regardless of vintage points. Nobody deserves to be labelled in such a manner Besides, Davido might be rich but the concept is not selective; it also affects the poor who might not be able to bear the heat and that alone is enough reason to condemn it totality. We know this one cause the father is a popular figure, there are a lot of other people suffering the same fate out there. Our voice may not matter but let it be on record that the younger generation is not in for such segregation.

Why did you say older child when you know he has many children? Your post is confusing.

Which child do you mean?

I wasn't the one who made the comment, I'm just aware of it.

The outcast thing is from a Yoruba POV, which is not the same as what you're thinking of.
There are just three kids here so the expression "older child" clearly refers to the immediate elder one. If I wanted to refer to the other one, I would have said oldest or eldest.

Regardless of the point of view, it's still a form of segregation that should not be encouraged.

The posters are responding to another thread where someone asked why some nlers were calling the baby an Igbo name, because (implied) that would mean the baby wont integrate with Yoruba which is the father's tribe.

The other mothers are also not Yoruba though. With one possible exception.
@bolded, Why are you splitting my post knowing fully well I never insinuated there was another boy. I asked why they didn't say this about the older child. Did I mention boy? Didn't my second question make it clear I knew there was no boy?

And how does calling the boy an Igbo name make him less Yoruba? Yorubas should also call him a Yoruba name too nah. Why is it so complicated?

And no, my post is not about the Yoruba/Igbo thing people do on NL, I'm only challenging the archaic concept of "Osu".
Politics › Re: Your Son Is An Outcast”-Yoruba Traditionalist Attacks Davido & Chioma by etrange: 4:48pm On Oct 25, 2019
Why didn't they say this regarding the older child? Is it because this one is a boy or cause the mother is not Yoruba?

Anyway, they're obviously talking to themselves.

There's already a video on YouTube showing a fight to death session between the two. None died as both were exhausted at the end. The lion had more injuries than the tiger. The tiger was, however, much more weaker than the lion after the fight. I'll need to dig up that video to ascertain this though as I hardly remember.

Just typed a long epistle of whiplash to educate you but on 2nd thought, it'll be a waste of energy. Take this... I don't like gays and I'm repulsed at the sight of a man who dresses to depict that concept. Thankfully, in-spite of how foolish we are in this country, homosexuality has been declared illegal hence some level of sanity is still maintained.
The young man's dressing depicted the concept in no subtle way and last time I checked, I still had a right to my opinion.
Now I'm not saying he is gay for a fact because I do not know him. However, homosexuality is a distortion of nature and that is a fact.
Don't swing the topic to your forte just to score cheap points. We're not arguing whether homosexuality is good or bad. The man dressed how he wanted to, a manner you do not have the courage to dress in because of what people would say. And you're here calling him names. Why are you threatened by his dressing? You that you're more man than him, how are you better off? Keep carrying people's lives on your head.
Music/Radio › Re: 'Bad Influence': Naira Marley New Song Got Nigerians Talking by etrange: 2:50pm On Oct 25, 2019
He's using his stardom to evoke our emotions. Releasing an emotional song that appeals to the public doesn't make him innocent. He should just clear his name. The Nigerian government will not gain anything from jailing him if he's innocent so I'm certain this is not a witch hunt. If he's guilty, he should be prosecuted, influence or not. Fraudsters are heartless. But if he's innocent, they should please hasten up and release him so he'd keep giving us hits!

You meant to say "provocative". Why would another man's dressing be provocative to you, oga masculinity? Who even defines masculinity? Why are you mad about what he chooses to wear or not to wear? And if he's sissy, is it your sissy? Why you guys get worked up on another person's life is mind boggling, really.

You'll ask if I'm gay because you expect every non gay person to be suffering from toxic masculinity like you. Except if you have gay tendencies yourself, you wouldn't mind dressing however you want. Stop projecting your own insecurities on others.

When Patrice Talon became president of Benin Republic, he met with Buhari at Seme, and I'm sure Buhari must have told him to do something positive about the smuggling issues Nigeria is having through them. He's twice met with Buhari afterwards that I know of, yet no positive effort was done by him.
The Nigerien president, hmm, this one must be Buhari's padi; I'm 1000% sure Buhari has urged him to do something positive to curb Nigeria's smuggling issues through them, but no, he didn't listen.

They turned the president of the most populous black country on earth, and Africa's most progressive economy into a barking dog.

Now that president Buhari has decided to play his last card, everybody's on his neck.

I think: both genders do things for the sake of the other.

There are soo many threads addressed to both men and women on how to behave, think, etc for the other gender. It's like both make rules, have expectations and then hold up the other gender to it. Our relationship with one another is just so intertwined. No one can stand independent of the other (except for very few people).

Our relationship, for ages, is just so complicated.
True this. I only have issues when guys slot shame ladies. To them, every woman out there is a sexual object except she wraps herself in sacs.

You didn't even say anything about the men embarrassing themselves here. If it were women, ya'll will start shouting "women are their own enemies", "shameless olosho", etc. Now it's men and you still find a way to call out women.

The way you guys see dirty acts from fellow men, ignore them and move on to drag the women are just mind boggling. You obviously feel attacked cause you're not different from these men fighting over a child. So because girls tend to do stuff even before 18, men should now be encouraged to sleep with them? You don't think that girls that mess around before 18 would stop if the men folks are dissuaded from doing stuff with them? Do they do it alone? Why do you guys like removing men from the equation? You'll still look for a decent woman to marry tomorrow and hope for decent daughters.
