Social Life: Montreal is great. Social life is amazing here. Very multicultural. If you are single and enjoy going out, there are a lot of places to go. People come from Ottawa to enjoy the clubs in Montreal. There are also quite a few Nigerians, there was a Nigerian picnic a few weeks ago during summer. There are also a few Naija restaurants and African shops that sell all the "Naija good stuff" if you are the type that has to stick to Naija food. As expected, there are more Francophone Africans and Haitians than Anglophones, but there are still a lot of Nigerians, especially in the Lachine area.
You're amazing.

I speak French... not like oyibo o ! And I'm into IT. (I'd like to give you more details if you'd permit me to PM you).

So how well do people speak English there? In as much as I love French, I'd still need to be with people who understand the good old English so I won't feel alienated if the French becomes too much. Lol

Hello guys, if anyone needs information about living in Montreal/ Quebec , leave me a message here.
I prayed and God sent you to me! I'm yet to decide but I'm considering Montreal. I've got to decide real fast as my deadline is approaching. What is it like leaving in Montreal in terms of work, social life, and cost?

Kayceenaz:
The implication is nature is undecided and confused, since a person born female is programmed with male attitudes totally. Science has demonstrated nature's essence are orderliness and consistency. This insight helps you and me to this day.

Nature provides us choice, too, mostly for co-existing with its operations, harmony. Remaining a tomboy/tomgirl is a choice, claiming it is not does changes nothing. Choosing not to choose is itself a choice.
Don't use the word "consistency" and "nature" in the same sentence, bro. Some people are born without pigment, some people are born conjoined, some people are born dwarf, some ladies are born with beards, some men are born with feminine voices, some guys can't grow beards, etc... nature is full of deviations and diversities and that's the beauty. You don't make people seem unnatural or feel bad about themselves simply because you don't like their nature. Girly teens are bullied in almost all high schools, some even get suicidal, you think they'd remain girly if they could change that?

The earlier we learn to accept our differences, the better for our world.

First, are you sure you know who a fan is? Please, let's stop abusing the word, the person here is clearly not a fan (or, at least, pretends not to be).

On the other hand, I think the person was stylishly suggesting the idea to Zlata; he just doesn't want a backlash thus the reason he presented it as if he was against. Just see the level of details.

Tomgirl: A boy behaving girlish.
what do they stand to gain thats' the question?
The same thing you stand to gain from behaving the way you behave. Y'all think a kid just wakes up and decides to be girly? The fact that there's nothing to gain is enough to tell you that's it's who they are and not a choice. We segregate a lot in this country, always looking for a reason to make others come off as "less".

Programming › Re: [Advice] For New Programmers, what server-Side Programming Language Is The Best? by etrange:
Lol... same old question that never goes out of fashion. Some people get emotionally attached to languages so this thread might end up in meaningless arguments. Truth is, no language is the best fit for all. At the end, it'll be up to you to read all comments and make your choice.

Let me add that for a new programmer, learning the art of programming is far more than that mastering the syntax and morphology of any programming language. I learned programming as a kid using QBASIC and till today, the art remains the same and I have comfortably delved into different languages and paradigms.

However, in order to give a more specific response, I'd suggested you consider ubiquity, target project requirements and the future prospects while choosing a language.

PHP is the king of the Internet. It was developed exclusively for server side and it has virtually all the functions to make it excel in this area. It has stood the test of time and isn't going anywhere. Laravel and CodeIgniter have come to make it even more glamorous. However, cooperate organisations would rather use Java (jsp) or C# (asp) for their in-house software systems that run on web servers for the sake of security and interoperability. These languages (Java and C#) forces best programming practices down your throat unlike PHP where you can freestyle and end up in spaghetti code (or perfect code). But then again, they are heavy! Much heavier than PHP. On the other hand, python touts itself as the second best language in virtually every type of project and that's a great spot. It's highly ubiquitous and considered the language of the future. Python is great if you want to to add some machine learning features to your web apps. It also allows you to boldly step out of web development and venture into other types of programming in future. However, its syntax (indentation based) makes it very different and thus poses a not-so-good learning curve should you want to learn other languages in later on. Javascript has become a star in the world of programming. It has found it's way into the server side as well. It's not my favourite language but learning it will ensure you stick to what might have already known for the client side. The choice is yours.

Did I help?

HE HAS ONLY 7 DAYS TO SEND THIS TO CIC.

Borrowing POF is against the rule. Your friend did not involve us when he was being "smart", I'm not sure we can help him now.

I wish him the best of luck.

Thanks etrange - isn’t it better to be safe that sorry and just upload everything? Or will there be a penalty?
No, I don't think there would be a penalty. I personally had stamps on my old passport but only scanned the data page of the new one and there was no issue with that. But then, you can scan your old one if that gives you peace of mind. Just ensure the data page of the valid one comes first.

Silversurfer1:
If/when you receive ITA, you will have to list the foreign countries you've travelled to in the last 10 years or since you were 18 (which ever comes first) under Personal History. If you have travelled, you must scan the pages of your passports that include visas and stamps that correlate with the trips you've stated. This means scanning old passports (and the data page too). The only time you don't do this is if you haven't travelled in which case, you just scan the data page of your current passport.
Just thought I'd correct this misinformation I've been seeing
Hi,

Just a little modification, old passports are not needed. Only the the data page and stamped pages of a valid passport are required. If your stamps are on the old passport, there's no need to scan them.

Madam have you confronted your husband over this? I think its necessary you do so and if you do, remind him about Nigeria law on same gender s*x. You must also let him know about jungle justice in Nigeria.

I remember a big bros like that for my area, though he don peme now.
This won't solve anything; the Law cannot change people's sexuality. In fact, the Law is the cause of this. If the society was thoughtful and accepting, gay people wouldn't be forced to get married and this kinda thing wouldn't be happening.
