Politics › Re: Fani Kayode: After Friday's Inauguration, I Will Give Atiku Fire For Fire by etrange: 2:24pm On Oct 20, 2022 |
Lol... This man will say and do anything just to belong. He just wants to be seen as being part of the grand political process. He's hoping Atiku would reply so he can boast about dealing with him directly. Yet, we all know that if PDP had not sidelined him, he'd be writing "I just spoke with my friend and brother, Atiku, and I've come to realize he's a true unifier". |

We all saw that coming. Pharaoh4rin: How did you see it coming? A political prophet? A prophet? Lol... No wonder your pastors extort y'all. Dude, I don't need to be a prophet to make an informed forecast. It was glaring Truss' government was falling apart at the seams. She appointed and then sacked her home secretary and chancellor within six weeks. That was chaotic. I was never a fan of Ms Braverman but replacing her with Shapps, a known critic, less than a week after sacking Kwarteng as chancellor just to appeal to a broader section of the Conservative party was a sign that her administration was hanging by a thread. Heck, she made more volte-face in her short-lived administration than many past PM's who spent more time in office. But then if you still believe only divine prognostication could have predicted her resignation, then maybe I'm a prophet after all. Have you paid your tithe? Pharaoh4rin: The word "prophet" is not enshrined in Christianity alone. And I don't think my question was offensive. If I had used the word 'forcast', perhaps you'd have differed saliently. A guy like you is ready to spur anyone scurrilously at the the slightest engagement. Anyways, enjoy ur day. Your question was clearly sarcastic cause you obviously knew I was no prophet. Or would you claim you honestly wanted to if I was a prophet? No, you used that word cause you thought I was just driveling. People like you fake innocence when your sarcasm is matched word for word or when it's obvious the other party knows what they're saying. |

naijainstinct: Great response Abike.
See, na craze dem dey take cure craze. No one has the monopoly of rudeness. I feel she was even lenient enough. How can you address someone's mother as mumu woman because she is holding a public office and holds a different political view from yours? If we were to rate public officers, Abike is doing far better than most of her peers.
Drug pushers, cultists and prostitutes tarnishing the name of our country abroad wants to have a say too. If you do anyhow for another man's land, you see anyhow.
I blame Indonesia, UAE, Singapore etc for their weak immigration processes. That's why they always attract the worst of us. I cannot imagine any sane person going through the hassle of academic credential evaluation, writing IELTS, obtaining police character certificate, going through strict medicals etc and then end up pushing drugs or forming cult groups. That's why mostly the best of us end up in US, UK, Canada and Western Europe. I believe you and the lady missed the point. The fact that she used the word "ode", even though classless, isn't the issue. The issue is the fact that her post suggested Nigerians in Indonesia are drug dealers. Of course, many of them might be, but her sweeping statement undermines those who are working hard over there. In a bid to fire back, she undermined those she's meant to represent. I'm surprised she's not seeing this. |

olab059: This your story reminded of when I was doing my youth service in a village in th east, and I was bored, so I went to the market to buy two chicks. I thought they were agric...but later found out they were local. They started following me everywhere. Imagine walking around your corpers lodge to see all your friends, and two black chicks following you about. Even when I would be gisting with friends or playing whot with friends, they will come and sit on my head or shoulder. lol! They thought I was their mother.
Unfortunately, they followed me to see one of my friends one day, and while waiting outside, they ate ants that had been killed with Sniper, and it killed them. It was so heartbreaking...I had bonded with them so much. @bolded, I wonder your reaction when you found out. And yes, they instinctively follow thier caretaker. Lol. |

Farming is both fun and lucrative.
When I was a kid, there was a chick depot near our house. They sold in cartons, but I was able to buy one for N 15. When I got home, the little thing started following me everywhere I went. It was probably hungry and couldn't eat what I was feeding it. I can't remember what happened to it eventually, but I remember people laughing when they saw us together. If I weren't into tech, I'd probably be into animal husbandry. I like taking care of animals.
Nice one, OP. Good luck! |

This is the kind of conversation we need. Regardless of whose plan is more efficient, Obi gave him something to engage him on. Other candidates should present clear-cut economics plans so that both the opponents and the electorate can subject them to scrutiny. This is much better than all these "it is my turn", "don't vote Yoruba, don't vote Igbo", etc. |

Literature › Re: .. by etrange: 9:15pm On Oct 14, 2022 |
I don't know why many people called online employees virtual. It undermines the employees and sometimes makes the employers to forget that these are real human beings they're dealing with and not just some soulless computer programs.
In computing, the word "virtual" means "abstracted or modeled by a software to look like the original thing". In other words, it's something that doesn't really exist in the real world but created using representational technologies in such a way that it can be accessed or stored using computers. Examples: virtual classroom, virtual tour, virtual library, virtual studio, virtual office, etc. Therefore, a virtual assistant should be something like Siri or Alexa.
An employer that calls you a virtual employee isn't likely to meet your workspace needs as a human being. If you're going to be considered when policies are made, it would be after all "real" factors have been considered.
@OP, I'm not referring to you o! You're only an individual looking for an assistant. I'm just speaking generally. So don't be offended.
