Sorry bro, but when they receive an extremely high volume of applications, you don't really expect them to interview each person. The cost of recruitment is high. They need a way to narrow down the list and degree class seems to be the only objective way to do that without meeting each individual. |
Sir, you sent someone's daughter out in the middle of the night even when you knew she had no money for transport because you're angry? You confirmed nothing happened to her from someone. You say that as if that after-the-fact confirmation made your actions any less egregious. Would that confirmation have saved her if she was attacked that night? And you're asking if you did something wrong. So if we say no, you'd still have the mind to do something like this again in your life? Sir, you're not here to find out if you're wrong or right, you already know the answer to that question. You brought the story here cause you want validation for your evil act so you can have peace of mind. But the truth is, until you accept your wrong-doing, what you did to that girl will keep haunting you. You didn't introduce this girl to us as your girlfriend. You described her as "this girl that has been to your place, eat the best and that" (that expression is ridiculous by the way). You had another girl you could easily call, so she was just one of the girls. You also said and I quote "in my mind I was thinking this will go down as sex ...". You don't want to commit but you're angry that she didn't jump into your bed cause of the food you've been buying her. You say cuddling several time as we don't know how that ends up. Let me not go into the dynamics of your relationship and what she might have done wrong or right because that would give the impression that there's a scenario where your action would be justified. The truth is, there isn't. You're a dangerous man. You see, what you did that night is not about her. She's fine, and she's moving on with her life and dignity. She's not the one creating threads online. Rather, it's about you. If you could send a girl out in the middle of night without transport, you have issues; very serious issues. I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you this, and I'm sure this is not the first time your action is shocking you into explaining yourself to strangers hoping to be validated. Certainly, if there was no internet, you'd sit down and explain yourself to a dog, a cat or anything around. That is what happens when your conscience is pushing you around. You'd recount the story over and over again in your head hoping to find validation somewhere but you won't. NL boys can hail you all they want, but deep down, you know you have a problem. |
I understand teens behaving as the thier teachers are thier enemies, but adults online encouraging them is just mind blowing. By the way, what does the boy do? |
A little Googling would've let you know she's got hirsutism. While it could be a symptom of something else, in most cases, it's not and no treatment is required. It's sad that people aren't very tolerant of individual differences/uniqueness despite the education level in the country. |
Racoon:It's not just an individual who wants to be called 'sir'. It's the military where rank is everything. They have traditions. He could call him 'officer' while talking about him to a third party, but they don't use that term to call the attention of thier senior. Even in mere secondary schools, a JSS1 student wouldn't say 'student' when calling the attention of the school's senior prefect. |
michlins:I believe a passport her can also go anywhere within ECOWAS without anyone disturbing him. The issue with the way countries were created in Africa is that the entities that created these countries were at war with one another. They were just scrambling for territories. The same thing happened in South and North America. |
He's probably married. See how they're shamelessly supporting. Tomorrow, they'll come online to scream "Nigerian girls are useless". |
I'm surprised to see such an incomplete title on front page. |
2shure:The way some y'all react to terrible news amazes me. |
What's strange about the fish? Looks like a type of tuna. |
Namaster:@bolded, not really. While we don't have any basis to describe conscription in Nigeria at an international level yet (no law, no history), global history has shown that countries that do not have peacetime conscription don't generally adopt war-time conscription as soon the country goes to war but rather, it's employed after the number of available fighters gets to a certain threshold during an extended war period. Most times, the government of these countries start off by incentivizing people to join the military before eventually resorting to conscription depending the tide of war. |
Spotted? Hasn't it been all over the country before? |
I think people just come up with some graphics and wind a story around it for content. I've seen this multiple times and it all says "AI generated... " as if there's a system called AI. What system produced this image? Who generated it? |
CaptainZubi:And what did I call them in my post, Nigerian parrots? How many of them have you owned or trained to have come to this conclusion? Or you expect them to come tamed and affectionate? Dude, if you don't have any knowledge about something, let people that know talk. I've trained birds for almost 8 years. As I'm typing this, I have a conure and a boogie on my bed with me and I've trained Senegalese parrots both in sanctuaries and homes. Like I clearly said in my comments, these are Senegalese parrots and they are not great talkers but they talk nevertheless. Contrary to your submission, everything I said about them is 100% accurate. They're affectionate and they bond real good with thier owners. They are shoulder birds and they do talk. They just don't learn words easily like African grey and when they speak, it may not be as clear as other parrots known for talking. You don't pick up a parrot, they step up (hop on your finger). That is the first thing they learn within the first couple of weeks. If you can't teach a bird to step up, you shouldn't even own one cause that's easiest thing to teach. Any parrot that is not hand raised will behave the way you described regardless of the species. You don't go out there, bring a bird home and expect them to behave like you see on tv on the basis of species. No, it doesn't work that way. The process I described up there applies to virtually every parrot. Only a hand raised parrot or a tamed one will allow you touch it without screaming and Senegalese parrots can be trained just like any other parrot. This is one talking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_GsWrO1s-U?feature=shared Here is a good breakdown of thier personality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGQRHp2iCGk?feature=shared As you can see in the two videos, they're not screaming cause they've been trained not to do it, and nobody is picking them up. 🙄 |
Putin and war threats. The dude is holding the world hostage. |
The men on the front page are already sexualizing her. How do you want your women to be great when you can't see beyond sex? Tomorrow, you'll ask what they bring to the table. They bring what you want. |
Biggaboi:Is it illegal in your own country? You guys just read title and start typing |
Good |
Lol... beautiful birds. You made a mistake. You don't grab a parrot, instead you teach them to step up (that is, hope on your fingers). You don't get touchy with your parrots the first few days after you got them. You must allow them settle in and get used to the environment. You leave them in the cage and spend a lot of time near the cage. If your parrot is hand-raised, this is sufficient to get started, otherwise, you'd still need to do the whole finger-no-danger exercise. When you eventually open the cage, you MUST let them come out on thier own. Again, if they weren't hand raised, you must also avoid fast movements and maybe eye contacts depending on how skittish they are. It's after the bird is comfortable with you that you can start the basic training. Parrots love training sessions, they like attention, they like to be handled and they're clingy once they bond with you (parrots sometimes get too clingy). But if you don't start off correctly, they can be very aggressive and loud. Every bad move threatens your bond cause they don't forget. These ones are called Senegalese parrots. They are very affectionate and could develop separation anxiety if not well socialized. They are not as loud as other mini-sized parrots like green cheek conure and sun conure but they're also not great in learning to talk. They just want to stay on your shoulder all the time. All parrots are clingy, but these ones are moderately clingy. Finally, like most parrots, they require balanced diet, exercise and mental stimulation to avoid developing bad behaviors like feather plucking, aggression and screaming. |
fineboynl:Comments like this are always funny. So he should never buy a car he desires? Or just because he bought these ones, it implies he doesn't have commercial investments? |
chiiraq802:Yes, like those women in the North killing and raping people. |
This trend of stealing people's cars in Canada to sell in Nigeria is a very ugly one. It's embarrassing. |
Wickedness. They're all over Nairaland obsessing over Nigerian girls. |
He's incredibly lucky to have found an available heart. |
zed7:Haha... I had this same thought. I was like, why is he telling us he doesn't eat noodles as if it makes him special? But it's a free world. @OP, I believe liking or not like noodles isn't really worth a long text, and it's definitely nothing to worry about. People have individual preferences. I'm sure they are things you eat that other don't. To everyone else, please remember to add a lot of vegetables if you eat quick noodles often to avoid deficiency. Also, if you love pasta, give whole wheat pasta a try to cut down on blood sugar. |
JASONjnr:Some men are plain wicked too. So you could've just said some people instead of resorting to sexism. |
Wow... hope it does get fatal. The report is extremely vague. Someone is doing some serious damage control. Meanwhile, if this had happened in Nigeria, many of you would have been cursing the country as if it doesn't happen elsewhere. Now it has happened in Australia, and you still find s way to curse your country. Nawa o |
Lumarstone:The only joining BRICS will help Nigeria is if our oil is sold in Naira. Otherwise, it would just be a case of changing masters. We'd end helping other countries better position thier currencies against the US dollar while ours keep deeping. |
See all of them on the front page shouting "Nigerian girls!" as if the guys are any different. Are these girls sleeping with each? Aren't you guys the ones doing it with them? How can you want chaste women but praise each other for sleeping with them? Where will the chaste ones then come from? How do you expect the ladies bear the burden of maintaining morality in the society alone while you go about sleeping around. Y'all are like a baby crying that he's got no cake just moment after eating the cake himself. No matter how much you insult women on this platform, nothing will change until y'all acknowledge the fact that it's a two-way thing. Yesterday, we read about a man that kicked out his wife and took in the house help and the guys on the front page were asking 'why did she bring in a maid', 'what did she do', etc., but once it is the other way round, you jump in to call out the gender. Even people who have never talked to a non Nigerian girl are here screaming "Nigerian girls!". Shallow minded people. |
RepoMan007:You just assumed that any adult that likes indomie is lazy? Lol.. why is it so difficult for people in this part of the world to appreciate individual differences/preferences? Nawa o |
All of shouting 'I no dey eat it', 'nothing special', etc. No one said it was special. If you don't eat it, that's OK. Other people do. It doesn't have to be special. The ones you eat aren't special too. People have different tastes/preference. |
