Healed!!! Is Ikechukwu sick?
Having a sickle cell doesn't mean that the boy can't have a healthy normal life as long as he takes certain herbal concoctions regularly
Well, I looked at it from the perspective of going in and out of the hospital like his father also mentioned and like is common among people living with sickle cell anemia.

Not everyone is aware or believes that certain herbs could be helpful. Op could try that too.

Unfortunately the deed has been done already and you can't abandon her and your son now. A stitch in time, they say, saves nine, and there's no need crying over split milk.

I think the decision to pause bearing another child with her suffices. I just pray a miracle occurs and Ikechukwu is completely and permanently healed.

Please based on your previous experience, tell them the little money you have is in a fixed deposit and can't be terminated until after 90 days. That way they won't say you have and refused to borrow them.

People are not always sincere when it's time to pay back money they borrowed.

Straight to the point. Got this new house. But recently started getting bites from bed bugs. Just found out it's everywhere in the house. From what I heard, once they settle, it's near impossible driving them away.

Please does anyone know how to rid a home of bugs please?

lalasticlala
Sniper or DD Force mixed with kerosene kills all kinds of insects, mosquitoes, cocroaches, flies and bed bugs, etc.

Spray it early in the morning before going to work or business and by the time you come back in the evening, the odour would have reduced.

Do it at least twice in a week and you will come back to testify. And please, remember to cover your nose with a cloth or towel before embarking on the fumigation exercise. That chemical could be so harsh and dangerous to inhale/ health.

My dear, she said the truth. I spent some months in Benue State on
a visit, I couldn't believe how cheap tomatoes were. When my auntie I went to visit came home with baskets of tomatoes she bought for N200.00 each, very big and fresh tomatoes, I laughed until tears began to roll down my cheeks. Everybody thought I had gone crazy. Why wouldn't I laugh, ehen? when I buy just about 5 pieces of that same size of tomatoes for same amount here in Lagos.

Prices of yam in Zakibiam nko? That one is even another story entirely.

Benue State is indeed the food basket of Nigeria.

PhonesRe: Which One Should I Go For Btw Techno And Infinix? by extremelygolden: 7:59pm On Feb 18, 2018
I currently use Infinix Hot 4 phone and I must confess it is a very cool phone. It doesn't give me any stress at all.
If fully charged and with all my apps running, the battery lasts nothing less than 24 hours. And there are times I charge my phone on Saturday and might not remember to charge it again until I get to the office on Monday.

I think the durability of a phone depends largely on place of purchase, not to mention it's specifications. For instance, I like buying phones directly from SLOT or from Companies direct point of sale, because I believe that they have a name and reputation to protect and might not likely tamper with any components of the phone like most road sellers or open market sellers do.

I was a loyal Samsung phone user until my phone developed an irreparable fault which compelled me to change the phone. And because I couldn't afford, at the time, a Samsung phone with my desired spec, I opted to Infinix after making several inquiries and believe me that a year and a half later, I have no regrets whatsoever.

Xyzee:
In your life, NEVER EVER think of buying an infinix phone because you would regret it all your life. I current ly use one and that has been my greatest undoing till this day.

* I carry about phone charger anywhere you see me.

* phone rings without my knowledge. It can set itself to silent mode without ur knowledge. No sign showing that it is silent

* You want to make an urgent call, contact list suddenly disappears for more than 15mins.

* Once battery reduces to 20%, phone goes off.

* phone hangs like almost forever

* phone always very hot with little activity

* phone refuses to adhere to instructions always.

* phone can ring without showing who is calling

* phone would ring like 15seconds before bringing out the contact name.

Please never buy an INFINIX Phone
BusinessRe: The Secret Revealed: 1 NGN Can Equate 1 USD If Nigerian Government Can Do This. by extremelygolden: 9:03pm On Feb 16, 2018
Go run for presidency already let's vote you in.
I am tired of those block-heads up there. We need intelligent and vibrate youths at the helms of the affair of this nation, abeg.

quote author=Samleen post=65084019]*If government can stop the printing 500 NGN notes and 1,000 NGN notes and officially discontinue its use!

*Reintroduction of Nigeria coins, 50Kobo, 1 NGN and 2 NGN.

Welcome, lets get started by examinining the top 10 performing currencies in the world to gain necessary insights before drawing our conclusions.

Bank note: BD 1/2, BD 1, BD 5, BD 10, BD 20

Coin: 50, 10, 20, 50, 100 baisa and rarely used 200 biasa

Bank notes: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, Dinars
Coins: 1/2, 1, quirsh, 21/2, 5, 10 Piastras

Bank notes: €5, €10, €20, €50
Coins: 1P, 2P, 5P, 10P, 50P, €1, €2

*.Caymanian Dollar KYD:  (  1 KYD = 432.7622 NGN   )
Bank notes: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 Dollars
Coin: 1, 5, 10, 25 Cents

*.Euro EUR:  (  1 EUR = 448.2926 NGN  )
Bank notes: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and  €500

*.Swiss Franc CHF:  (  1 CHF = 388.1395 NGN  )
Bank note: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 1000 francs
Coins: 5, 10 and 20 Rp/cts, 1/2, 1, 2 and 5 Fracs

*.United State Dollar USD: (  1 USD = 360.5000 NGN   )
Bank note: $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100
Coins: 1C, 5C, 10C, $1/4, $1/2, $1.

Go back to the list once again and check what's the highest denominations of each currency (and population of users of each currency), You will discover that the top performing currency do not have high face value like we have 500 NGN and 1,000 NGN in Nigeria.

Also, you will notice that the top performing currencies have coins form of currency with denomination of very low face value.

The highest of the denominaton is 1000 Franc followed by 500 EUR. 1000 Franc is not in frequent use and the highest Franc denomination next to it is 200 Frank ( not like 500 NGN as we have here in nigeria ). Also the use of 500 EUR will discontinue this year 2018.

Get a hold on history of exchange rate in Nigerian, you will find out that every introduction of new high denomination currency note has averse advese effect on it.

Why High Denominational Currency Note Is Bad:
1. Increase in prints of currency notes with high face value e.g 1000 NGN makes other lower currency of less important and less usefull. This can gradually lead to upgrade of price of goods and services in market.

2. It makes stealing and loothing of cash easier as larger amount of money value can be packed into a very small space.

Why do CBN currently print more high denominational currency alone? Methink its in a bid to enhance hoarding of cash against the comming 2019 general election.

3. 500 NGN and 1000 NGN are no money for the common man, go to the market and examine what denomination are most in use.

4. It's in a way opposing the cashless policy by the federal government of Nigeria.

What The Wise Nations Did:
1. United State of Ameria used to have $500, $1000, $2000 currency notes until December 14, 1945, when the high denominational bills were last printed and officially discontinued on July 14, 1969 by the Federal Reserve System.

2. Europian Central Bank announced on 4 May, 2016 that it would phase out the 500 Euro notes by the end of 2018.

Other Factors That May Affect The Exchange Rate Of A Currency Include:
1. Ratio of goods/services importation to exportation

2. Availability of currency and number of complying users.

The Illegal illegal printing of currency by the CBN according to as reported by some news media outlets has a long way to desctroy value on our cash.

3. Inflation rate

4. Government debts and federal reserve.

5. Political policies and stability

6. And many more

My Recomendations:
Nigerian government should permanently discontinue and remove 500 NGN and 1,000 NGN currency notes from circulation. Reintroduction of 50 Kobo, 1 NGN and 2 NGN coins should also be done.

A serious government fighting corruption will yield to my advice as abundance of lower denomination currency will discourage looters from hoading and keeping cash in a safe instead of bank.

CareerRe: Should I Quit My #55,000 Monthly Job For University? by extremelygolden: 8:19pm On Jan 21, 2018
Georgematics:
Good day all, Pls this issue had been given me sleepless nights so I decide to bring it here to hear your opinions and idvice.

I had been looking for admission for the past 4 years and luckily I finally got admitted into a federal university here were am reciding. The problem is; I had been the one taking care of my self and also assist my family with the salary I was earning from the company were I work. Due to economic reasons I wasn't able to save money after paying bills for myself and some of my family (I'm single, lives alone but my Mum & siblings live not to far from my residence). The only money I'll be falling back on if I quit my Job is the gratuitee and Pention.

So, I'm seeking your mature advice, Should I quit Work & Focus on Schooling? Pls help a brother. Thanks in advance
I will advise you combine both. This is where multitasking comes in. If the school is close to your place of work, you can actually do a full time program and still maintain your job, but this is where having a good, discreet and understanding boss comes in. S/he will be able to watch your back. And no mentioning of the arrangement with any of your colleagues, no matter how close you are to them in order to avoid putting both you and your boss in trouble, you know.

How does it work? You manage your office assignment in such a way that you rush to school during your lunch hour. Pray for God's divine favour in all of this though, then go to school, explain your situation to your class governor and course adviser. Make friends with students that understand your predicament, those who will be able to help you make photocopies of the courses treated and handouts. And if by God's Grace you are able to attend lectures twice a week, and with determination, sacrifice, hard work, textbooks and handouts, believe me you'll be able to run with the two (full time in school and still maintain your job) at the same time and still make success.

The sacrifice I mentioned above simply implies that your weekends, public holidays and your annual leave will mostly be dedicated to studying.

I wish you the best.

many thanks. But how do I know they never have anything together, I left her in Nigeria with my son for three months (though my cousin was in the house with her) before she came to join me in the UK. One thing that tourched me was that my son said 'Daddy, please give mummy a second chance, she is not a bad woman'

I felt like crying with that little boy's words
You see? For the sake of your son, please forgive her. I believe she can never cheat on you again. At least with what she is experiencing at this moment, it will take a brainless woman to go into any form of adultery again.

Let her know there won't be a second time if you as little as suspect her.

May God heal your marriage.

My brother, God's Grace was what revealed who that lady really is. Don't let the dream she supposedly had about your untimely death come to pass by marrying her. It is a taboo for a woman to do what she has done.

People have gone into businesses that resulted in loss of millions of Naira and they are still living.
Is the money you spent on that LovePeddler worth trading your destiny, sanity and the love you have for your brother?

She would have slept with all the males related to you, including your friends, neighbours, colleagues and business associates if you had ended up marrying her.

Just keep on thanking God for the Gift/Spirit of Discernment upon your life and for delivering you from what would have been your worst nightmare if you had discovered after marriage.

Take heart and move on. Life doesn't end with the bitch.

You can't give up now. No, you can't! The light at the other end of the tunnel must shine - for you and for all those whom life has weighed down. This hard time must pass, ok? Suicide is never an option and you are not permitted to commit it.

Now tell me, how are you going to pay your mother for all her love and sacrifices if you do it?

How are you going to prove to the world that God is still in the business of answering prayers and turning situations around if you take your own life?

I mean how will you face God if you go earlier than He has proposed for you?
You must live to share your testimony with us.

I pray God to locate you, favour you and grant you that which you have been asking Him - that very lucrative job.

Don't you ever give up, dear.

Eh we know…we know that marriage is ‘all’ about tolerance. We know that husband and wife fight all the time. We know that eventually the love would die and it would only be the friendship that exists. We know that children would come and then the couple may not always spend quality time together. We know that sex would not be as before and might eventually dwindle to just once a week or none at all for months. We also know that there would definitely be money issues, extended family conflicts, mother-in-law wahala, sister/brothers impromptu visits and sudden intrusion(if you know what I mean) and then of course, arguments about which side of the toothpaste to press and who should wash the toilet.
Thank you, we know… STOP SCARING US!

However, in the process of highlighting all these difficulties, biko do not forget to mention the privileges, prestige and benefits attached to being married. I cannot count how many times I have wanted to take the front seat of my colleague’s car only to be passed to the backseat because a ‘Mrs’ wanted to join us. When it is even time for promotions or increase in pay, na Mr/Mrs them dey consider first so the rest of us should go and sit down on the bench...... Just stop scaring us, it is neither our wish to remain single abi who singleness Don epp? So many things have contributed to this most especially, foreign exchange that has caused astronomical and geometrical increase in bride price due to the prevailing and dwelling economic situation of the country . The mere mention of 'marriage' to some of us is an automatic ticket to become a patient in a nearby hospital.

We are seriously trying our best to change a Miss to Mrs, please don't make it more difficult for us with that cliché 'marriage is not easy ooo', it always scares us when you do, just tell us 'dear, it is well, as u change your marital status'. Thank you as you comply, if u can do this, you have made a 'single' happy. I just want to make common sense.

Well, my mother has her own way of punishing us. Even though we had househelp, some domestic chores were still divided amongst my siblings and I. If you offend mum, you handle the entire chores for the day. And don't even think anybody would be allowed to assist you when she's available.

Why I focused more on dad's punishment is because, washing car early in the morning and at night wasn't a child's play. Kneeling for hours with hands raised, etc wasn't easy at all. But for mum's domestic chores, as soon as she steps out, all of us including the househelp will assist the person undergoing the punishment.

I think i might adopt your parent's approach. I will save this in my long term memory. One thing that caught my attention is the washing car issue as punishment. In my family, washing car was never a punishment. It was a mandatory duty i must do whether it is raining or not. I grew up in jos and in the cold of the morning, while other parents were protecting their children from the cold, my dad is probably thinking of the punishment to give me if i dont wash his car as early as 5;30am to 6 grin

I have been embarrassed severally in public. From flogging/shouting at me in public and infront of my secret crush to going to school without provisions as punishment.

while i have let go all these, i only dine with dad with a long spoon...if u catch my drift.

dangotesmummy:
its rare for older generation of parents not to emotionally abuse their children

But I want to ask you a question. How do you correct your children when they err without emotionally abusing them because I want to learn too
My parents never used cain on us and I and my siblings were never verbally abused. Then how do we serve our punishments whenever we err?

1. First and foremost, we were brought up in the way of the Lord. You can't miss Church Service and activities and you must be there before Sunday School starts.

2. My father especially inculcated on us reading culture so much that you will hardly have time to go shop for some troubles outside.

3. They used carrot and stick approach in bringing us up. But the stick part wasn't cain. No, never for once did my parents flogged us and never did they use abusive words. If they had, I would have naturally grown up to be a torn in their flesh, Olorun.

We were given rewards when we excel academically or do something extra good, but when we go wrong, my father might give us a kind of mathematics to solve, or the numerical table to recite. Heavens help you if you fail those tests! The next punishment will be to kneel down and raise up your hands for God knows how many hours. And if there's a birthday party or any other function to attend, you will be the only child in the neighbourhood that will not attend, even if such parties are taking place in our compoud. Or he might as well ask you to wash his car for a whole week, morning before he leaves for work and at night when he comes back. And that was for my father.

4. My mother's punishment was very simple. She will only tell you that she will report you to your father when he comes back. The soft and simple way she will issue the threat will make you get down on your knees immediately to ask for forgiveness. In fact, you will go extra miles in pleasing her so you can earn her total forgiveness before my father comes back.

It worked for us. You might try something similar as well.
