Thanks nairalanders, for your interest in Igboland, its people and culture, you have made Igbo culture even more popular on the internet (search it). Cheers.

Ngwa, I mean oya, start to write, we're interested in how this kingdom with milk in its tongue on the arrival of the British birthed a 5000 year old culture. Don't worry, we'll wait.
Andre,
Given your narratie above, I'm beginning to think Igbo is actually an offshoot of the Yoruba race. It explains why finding and placing your root has been so difficult; ts because we are looking for a far away ancient civilization when in fact we should be looking at Old Oyo to track and define your migrant path.

I shall do the tracking. . . . .and trust me, I will find a home for you within the Yoruba ancestry.
You're absolutely right. No need for tracking, the Igbo are descendant of the Saudi Oduduwa.

How hard is it for to get photo updates? Do we not have Nairalanders who live in Asaba or Onitsha?   angry
Nigerians don't think like that, that's why it's hard to find images of Nigerian cities filled with millions of people. I believe this need to document also comes with a modern mindset, and Nigerians have ancient, tribal, primitive mindsets (eat, sleep, reproduce) no matter how much education they have. Have you ever seen a packed Nigerian museum?

Abians still have beef.  cool

Fulani know there place in our society as well. Win-win situation.
Then a 'no-go Area Policy' will not hurt Imo or south east beaf.

No nomadic herding in the U.S.? It goes by another name. What do you call cowboys?

This would be relevant if cowboys graze in Central Park.

EzeUche:
How are my sentences contradictory? Abians have lived in harmony with the Fulani, because they respect/fear us.
Abia people massacred Hausa Fulani a few years ago, you couldn't walk the street just 'looking' like an Hausa in the streets at one time. If you want the beef to stay, then you can't do what Abia State people did.

If you cannot solve the possible beef shortage, then this plan is not going anywhere.

Imolites should do what we Abians do when these people do not follow the laws of our land. lipsrsealed
Your two sentences are contradictory, plus what is beef in the face of an invasion or did your parents not tell you how they reused salt twenty times during the war? undecided
"Al'majir" or "Almajiri" is an institution, a social one.

Philosophically, it is on the par of social welfare in Western countries. Its practice and operation however is not anywhere at par with them.

Its purpose in Islam is for both economic and cultural reasons.

I can explain further on the above statement if clarity is needed but let me go to topic.

The government need to come up with a robust social priogramme that centers on wealth redistribution for Nigerian citizens.

Such a programme will be a expensive launch but its benefits will pay off in the offsets gained through an elevated quality of living and social evolution.
It's the governments up there in Arewa that need to redistribute their wealth.

They don't even do this to rapists in Iran or Saudi Arabia, yet Nigeria is supposed to be better than those countries. I have never heard of such a thing happening in Africa until the contraption of the abomination called Nigeria was created.

Those aren't the paternal ancestries of the men, those are the maternal ancestries of their sons (which follows from their wives family). The two men have European paternal ancestry.

Onlytruth:
I don't know whether the story is true or not, but what I know is that I don't like how current Igbo land lacks a real armed group.
That is why I would never support MASSOB until they change tactics. They are wasting everyone's time and mocking an otherwise worthy cause.
I know that no one will try any nonsense in Anambra state. At least I know that much.

But if this story is true, then, let no one be surprised of the scale of reprisal, both immediate and long term.

Igbo are usually the last to react to a provocation until it because clear enough.

Fulani herdsmen should leave Igboland immediately. All of it. That is if Nigeria does not want war another war.
MASSOB first of all needs to change their name to MASSOA (Alaigbo) or something because that's what they're really preaching for, I don't want non-Igbo to be confused and plot against them. Then they need to mark out the territory they are agitating a sovereign state for, after that instead of protesting they need to start propaganda to ensure they secure every Igbo community and to make their intentions known, only then can they be taken more seriously.
