Matthewgreatman: You end up writing nonsense. Deltans are proud of His Excellency and the on going massive development across the state,is a proof of the dividend of democracy. Am proud of my state I don't know about you.
When will you lot stop?
Using public money to provide basic need by a paid elected person is not a dividend of democracy.
During military rules, roads and others stuff were equally done, dividend of what was that? Dictatorship?
Dividend of democracy are: Free speech, free media including state controlled medias, accountability of public personnels, one man one vote and not construction of 17th century boreholes.

Matthewgreatman: maybe you are the thief here. Am not sure you are referring to governor Uduaghan.
If you are not sure whom I am referring to, why making a conclusion over what you are not sure of? A typical Nigerian, jumping into water before finding out it's dept first.
Mazi Eziachi, Much as it is your right to support Buhari, you are wrong on the above. Ekwueme wasn't found guilty of any crime cos there was no crime associated with him. He was sent to kirikiri (under prison custody) while the tribunal carried out it's probe but Shagari was put under house arrest. Even the judicial tribunal set up by Buhari that probed Ekwueme after the coup publicly declared, "Dr. Ekwueme left office poorer than he was when he entered it, and to ask more from him was to set a standard which even saints could not meet."
If you believe that non sense you can believe anything that he left officer poorer, maybe poorer in cash but definitely not poorer in asset worth. I knew him even before the war, I knew him when he became Shagari's deputy. He was was a moderate living guy, minding his architectural career. You guys are wise enough not to be fooled by tribal loyalty.Name the bank he borrowed to build his modotel chains and breweries.

What many of you forget is this, irrespective of military rule, all action is sanctioned by a decree made by the ruling council. Its not a one man govt. Buhari was the head of state, Idiagbon was the govt spokeperson, our dear brothers like Ike Nwachukwu and Ebitu Ukiwe were there too.

All this attempt to use silly and meaningless statements to rubbish Buharis name is fruitless. Not all southerners are daft. If there are ten Buhari in Nigeria, things could have been better.
Its your right not to like him, but all this use of ethnicity/religion to rubbish yhe guy is just pathetic as the fact of that never adds up.

Matthewgreatman: What is Rita Lori saying? The same group of persons who laud Ibori and also wooed him at the tail end. Delta state is not itsekiri community. Asking the governor to do a repetition of what Ibori did at Oghara is out of place. Delta comprises of different ethnic groups. The same land Rita Lori is pleading for,was sited for delta state project that will benefit the state and not only the itsekiri sons and daughters as she claimed. When contracts are not awarded politically or based on relationship, people come to media and bark like dogs. What has she contributed to the itsekiri sons and daughters she claimed to love so much, with all the wealth she acquired from the community and country. Please your Excellency those gifts will be valued by the orphans not Rita Lori. She does not deserve your gifts because she is a self centred element.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Asks If Violence A Sign Of ‘end Times’ by Eziachi: 6:19pm On Jan 01, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: This is an insurgency. It is a battle within, not nation vs nation war. If you'r not a child you would know that insurgencies(especially the types coloured with religion) are very delicate and complex situations that if not properly handled may split the Nigerian military into 2 camps and plunge the country into another civil war or balkanise the country. Insurgencies all over the world are very difficult to curtail and often takes decades to resolve simply because the enemies are within with significant part of the country sympathetic to the course of the insurgents
Thanks for the lecture on insurgency, probably you think Nairaland is made of children from Jankara market nursery school. Boko Haram style of events are not completely new in Nigeria.
In the 80s there was one like it in Borno and within 2 weeks Buhari's govt put them to bed for ever. Buhari was there in person conducting things, personally reassuring the running victims, especially the Igbo business community, but in Jonathan's case, more than a year later, he thinks Borno is to hot for him to visit even by flying over it.
What is end time is finding a person of his character/intellect at the helm of leadership of any nation, especially a complex one like Nigeriana.

Highbros: Somebody should teach me how to pray for a clueless man. Please.
They don't need prayers, all they need is Ghetto justice. Tyre marks all over their head. How does a family with nothing to eat today pray for one that voted millions for his own feeding, this is outside his mouth watering salary. lives in a mansion totally rent free?
Nairaland GeneralRe: Let's Pray For Our Leaders And Not Insult Them In 2013 by Eziachi: 5:27pm On Jan 01, 2013
ujoatu: Yea, POSITIVE criticism is better than insults.
One man's insult is another man's criticism.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Let's Pray For Our Leaders And Not Insult Them In 2013 by Eziachi: 5:22pm On Jan 01, 2013
ujoatu: Why do we insult and curse our leaders.

A favourite past time of ours is to insult our leaders calling them names like Retarding, zombie, useless etc. I personally do not think its good as our religions urges ur 2 pary 4 our leaders.I dnt believe that GEJ sits at aso rock doing nothing but sipping moet. In the area I live,we now have light for 18hrs out of 24hrs a day. That's an achievement.
What pains me most is that its our youths some of whom have never been course reps in their lives that trades these insults. If you ve ever been in any position of leadership, then u get 2 understand.

Let's start 2013 by praying 4 our leaders so it canbe well with us and 4 those who are bent on continuing this, take it from me, WHEN YOU GET OLD ENOUGH TO BE A LEADER 2, INSULTS AND CURSES WOULD BE THROWN AT YOU AS WELL.AMEN
You think that the Chinese pray for their leaders before they can work for the people or stop stealing from the people? Religion and faith is good but faith/religion in the mind of Nigerians are like chainsaw in the hand of a lunatic. You don't always ask for your likes to pray for armed robbers, kidnappers and rapists, do you?

What is the difference between a typical Nigeria leader and those mentioned? Absolutely nothing! They are in the same breath of cruel, heartless, sadistic, careless, little value for life of others, greedy, mindless and outright wickedness.
THere isn't much apart between 2012/2013 in their book, apart from the reverse in counting the dates, so your so-called leaders can only continue from where they left off in 2012.
Having power 18 hours a day is not an achievement and its an insult to a modern man, as many nation including your neighbours cameroon, some in their 50s has never experienced a power cut all their lives and here you are killing a goat to celebrate your pathetic 18hrs of power. What happened to the rest of the 4hrs? Darkness!
How many premature babies dies within that 4 hrs in lucky hospitals, because their lifesaving incubators went off life? My is, if you plant corn, its corn you are going to reap.
Those of you that sow mediocrity by celebrating mediocre leadership will always reap mediocrity. If you think this your prayer for heartless thieves is your needed indulgence, please carry on but I can assure you while you are busy praying, they are busy robbing you blind.
And God is not bothered with prayers of all sort. He is not stupid.

PoliticsRe: Why Do Nigerians Celebrate Whenever A Leader Dies ? by Eziachi: 7:06pm On Dec 20, 2012
Mhudi: We in Kaduna state, most especially people from the southern part of the state are grieving and morning over the death of Patrick Yakowa (RIP) for his selflessness, humility, simplicity, experience, maturity, fairness, competence etc. He meant so much to us and we will forever miss him; his death was a big blow to us cause he was a great asset to us. If anyone rejoices over the death of either Yakowa or Azazi just because they were leaders, then, I will only say, may The almight God forvive them.
Don't you think that the overly used of the word "US" is the reason the other side were rejoicing, because as far as they are concern, he is your asset and opposite of what he is to you?
How did he got the millions of votes to win if he just for you? Just asking.

helpmeohgod: Why Do Nigerians Celebrate Whenever A Leader Dies, Starting From Abacha Era?

Pls can someone explain the cause of jubilation in Nigeria whenever a leader dies? It was on record that when former president Murtala Muhammed died in the 60's it mourning and sadness to the extent that Dimka the coup plotter killer was aprehended, and killed. But that was the last Nigerians will ever mourn the death of a leader genuinely.
When president Abacha died, majority was seen in the street drinking and dancing, and now with the death of Yakowa and Azazi, even in these site people are making funj of their death.
In Ghana, the former president's death brought tears. To Ghananians and even to Nigerians, and in America, a citizen's death is a calamity not to talk of the president's death.
Someone please explain the reason behind this Nigerian attitude
Trust me, Murtala wasn't there enough to earn his death time jubilation from Nigerians, mind you they did actually jubilate in Langtang.

naptu2: Now I must pay tribute to the master. I think that there was a time when all Nigerian football commentators were trying to imitate the late great Ernest Okonkwo. His phrases became clichés. The only problem was that the people who used them did not know what they meant (which is why they could "float a grounder"wink.

"Uwem Bassey is on the ball. He beats
Christian Chuckwu, beats Christian Madu.

He has beaten two "Christians", he must be a Muslim".
- Ernest Okonkwo

Mehalla of Egypt vs Rangers of Nigeria. The Egyptians played their home leg on artificial turf, which the Nigerians were not used to. The Nigerians played their home game at 12pm at the height of the Enugu heat (the Egyptians were not used to such heat. They also wore black which compounded their problems).
When Rangers won, Ernest Okonkwo said "Mehalla saw wahala".

I was walking through my house. The radio was on. I heard Ernest Okonkwo say "Ademola Adesina and his intercontinental ballistic missile!" That stopped me in my tracks.

Ernest Okonkwo nicknamed most of the players in the Green/Super Eagles, including:

Chairman Christian Chukwu
Mathematical Segun Odegbami
Blockbuster Allosius Atuegbu
Gangling Rashidi Yekini
Dean of Defence Yisa Sofoluwe

Etc.
:
Yeah! I remember those by Ernest Okonkwo: These are some that I can still remember

Elastic Henry Nwosu

Man-Mountain Nwabueze Nwankwo

Wilfred Agbonivbare: He made a wonderful save- My-oh my -they nicknamed him basket but I call him a cat.

As Folurunsho Okenla was about to take one of the Nigerian penalty kicks during the AFCON 88 against Algeria in the semi- Okonkwo said: Here comes terrific left footed Okenla, shaking like a lilly but with a heart as strongs as rock of Gilbratar, the destiny of Nigeria, your country is in your hand son and 1-2-3 he scoreeed!!

During one of the Seoul 88 Olympic football games, it was at match involving Germany- He said: His name is Klinsman, if our Eagle are to meet Germany in this tournament, he might cleanse them with his goals (1st time Jurgen Klinsman announce himself before the footballing world)

In politics, in 1983, Shagari's special representative in the East Ibrahim Tahir, said that NPN is so popular, they are no longer interested in landslide victories but they will win now by a seaslide grin grin grin and some funny journalist was serious trying to tell him, there are no such thing as seaslide, but Alhaji Tahir wasn't interested grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

PoliticsRe: Mukhtar Ramalan Yero To Become Kaduna Governor by Eziachi: 6:38pm On Dec 16, 2012
I told a Nigerian bigoted Christian few weeks ago that the difference between him and the moslems like Boko Haram is just the level fear/cowardice in two of them.
If a Nigerian Christian had the gut to plant bomb, he will definitely plant it inside the bedrooms of moslems, it just a pity that they haven't got the guts.

Their pastors, on private jet talks like the old imams as we use to know them, asking people to go and fight while he cowards at home.

An average Nigeria Christian's mind this days is controlled by their funky pastors, just as moslem imams use to control their faithfuls. Some Nigerian Christians now believe that, if I am to dance or enjoy my traditional Igbo highlife music or Ebenezer Obeys 80s juju music that I will surely go to hell, but if I am to buy the one sanctioned by his pastors, who plays the same highlife only that its christened gospel music and shouted at Jesus's name from start to finish, that heaven belongs to me and cash to the pastor-musician.

How can a person who breath air, went to school, sat down in front of his computer and said because two politicians who died in plane crashes died because they were Christians, just to pave way for a moslems to rule and the same bunch will use the same mouth to shout one Nigeria the loudest whenever a Biafra patriots like me speaks?

When Yar Adua kicked the bucket and the Ijaw boy ascended the thrown of Nigeria, nobody noticed, but it was rather their bended god's wishes that it happened.
I knew that Christianity of today is a far cry from what Jesus founded in 33 B.C but Nigerian version is something else. Even In my village in Igboland, no one ever die again from natural cause.
It must be someone direct action using some spirit power of some sort to kill him/her. Their pastor will arrive with his holy bottled waters, telling tells, families set on fire because pastor told them that the 20 stone fella, who had cassava-fufu for breakfast each, plus 3 bottles of beer after dinner, did not die from cardiac arrest being chronically obese, but it was his brother, uncles, mother, father or anyone he can accused killed him.

By the way, I am a Christian, but definitely not the Nigerian version. Nigerian christianity bothers on pure mixture of spiritism and superstitions. The only difference today between a Dibia/Babalowo and their pastors is just their pastor's penchant for the best Amani pin-strip suits at HARRODS.
What next? Moslem will deliberately plant a tree inside Aso Rock, so that Jonathan will climb on it. fall from it and quenched, so that Boko Haram annoited Sambo can take over.
