Reference: You are wrong. There is no given length for piles. They can be as short as necessary and no they don't have to reach bearing strata. You can pile just to densify the soil.

the length varies from 300mm to 3.0m and you said they don't have to reach d bearing strata, then what's d essence of using pile when it won't reach d bearing strata.... bearing strata in dis case could be a rock or more solidified soil... if the pile is gonna be suspended then there's no case using it cuz the aim of d pile has been defeated

Pile foundations are principally used to transfer the loads

and they accused us that we are doing this because we are not in power, they forgot that;

-obasanjo lost 1999 election in the entire southwest including his own ward in abeokuta and 2003 was widely believed to have been rigged in his favour in the zone

-when obasanjo through victor ndoma egba proposed constitutional amendment with d aim of increasing number of terms , the main obstacle of this agenda came from southwest (I know some will say it's because of their party differences)

my fellow Nigerians, let us stop politics of tribe, this will not help us.... if princess Stella is guilty of any offence, she must be sacked and prosecuted.

lest I forget, 9 ministers were recently sacked foe no reasons (we all know it's because of their affiliation with G7) and nobody is saying they were sacked because of their tribal background... enough is enough

what d husband is earning is not even d issue but how he is able to manage it. I've seen people earning 200k but couldn't account for somethin reasonable they did with d money while some earn just 50k and could cater for their needs. but a potential husband earning should be enuf to pay rent, feed 3 people, and pay utility bills.

in as much as I don't want to criticize president Jonathan for this waste because he met 6 or 7 jets in d fleet b4 adding to it, the honourable thing to do is to sell off 7 of these jets... 3 aircrafts (1 Boeing, 1 gulfstream and 1 falcon) are enuf...while he use d smaller ones for local and regional assignment, he can use d Boeing for international assignment due to d number of officials.
it's a shame that when our airline operators are dying, govt shows no concern and our looting brothers in d national assembly sees nothing wrong in approving purchase of new jets for d already crowded PAF. well, I didn't serve either, I got exemption cuz I already served in battlefield. I think d only fun about it is d 3 weeks orientation camp, after that nysc is crap.... when my peeps discus so much fun they had in camp, I only told dem my 3 months experience in training school, then 6 weeks in gwoza camp not leaving out 6 months hustle wit boko boys in maiduguri....
