They love arguing, my parents can argue with me on a subject I studied using only dubious WhatsApp messages as evidence. They are also very fearful, they never let me leave the house on my own until I was 16. For years I would stay in school as late as 7 every day because they were afraid of kidnappers while my friends walked home or took the bus home. I was also never allowed to go to my friend's houses even when they lived next door or have any sort of weekend outing. Because of this I never really developed socially and they wondered why I don't like talking with them or guests and going for parties. Their helicopter style parenting really messed me up until I reached uni. |
idonhammer:It is the height of stupidity to think you are both immune and will benefit in some way. |
A few days ago he said that a lockdown happening in Lagos was only a rumour. ![]() On the 18th he said that panic buying was not necessary and that we can be assured that we will not starve. https://www.nairaland.com/5747212/coronavirus-no-need-panic-buying See this is why a lot of people hate politicians, they can never have a story and stick with it,always changing mouth and moving like a headless chicken. Anyways the smart people in Lagos ignored the governor and got what they needed 2 weeks ago. |
No wonder everyone is evacuating their citizens from Nigeria, they don't want them to be lynched on the streets by panicked mobs. |
SweetCunt97:Maybe it is searching for enemies of Nigeria. |
SharpJoe:Typhoid is caused by bacteria, Covid-19 is caused by a virus. Typhoid does not affect the lungs and two organisms are structurally nothing alike. Polio and HIV can also be spread by asymptomatic carriers as well but it does not mean they are related. |
SharpJoe:There's a difference between reasonable suspicion and wild assumptions. I can't make a claim about something based on misrepresentation and hearsay. The organisms responsible for malaria/typhoid and coronavirus are so wildly different that engineering one from the other requires something I can only describe as magical. These drugs are still in testing stages and chloroquine is the only anti malaria medication that is having any effect in testing. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/could-chloroquine-treat-coronavirus/ The only other related organism to Covid-19 is the virus responsible for the SARS epidemic of 2003. |
Diiet:Of course people who don't believe in talking snakes, talking donkeys, talking plants, magic rocks, people coming back to life, virgin teenage birth and healing blindness with spit from a book imposed on us by Europeans are the real fools here. |
desiredhome:The video literally cuts 3:40 into his speech. Maybe common sense trash to you Buhari fanatics? |
SharpJoe:Malaria is a liver and blood disease, typhoid affects the intestines and blood. Covid-19 affects the lungs and may affect the heart as well. There is nothing linking malaria/typhoid with Covid-19 apart from the claim that chloroquine helps in the treatment of Covid-19 symptoms. Your belief is wrong and misleading, it leads to rumors being spread and mistrust between medical professionals and the public. When that happens people avoid treatment and may die or cause the disease to spread further. Think before you post something because people might stake their lives on it. |
SharpJoe:Malaria and typhoid are caused by bacteria and protozoans not viruses. The claim that it is a biological weapon had no ground because the so called evidence has be pulled from the rectums of attention seekers on social media. |
brightisodje:With everything being shut down the money might as well be worthless. We need food stores because I fear many people, especially children are going to starve because they were not well prepared. |
jham01:It could have been recorded earlier today and just played at 7 because Buhari is not very articulate. How do you explain the random cuts? |
Wiseoldman:The people saying this is fake are simply idiots, it might be heavily edited and prerecorded but not a fake. Concerning your second point most of the people who leave do so because Nigerians are content with mediocrity. When you leave the country and see things working you will never want to come back. Truth is a lot of Nigerians are poorly educated and see the horrible state we find ourselves as normal, to the point when trying to fix it gets you labelled as an 'oversabi'. |
Victorious1000:In every country people insult the leaders when things are going badly, and things just happen to be going badly for Nigeria right now. Buhari's case is not special stop being overly sensitive. |
Summary of the address.
|
kikero:This scenario is about Lagos don't twist it. The foreigners did not do the right thing. People in other states are meant to call the relevant authorities and self isolate until arrangements can be made for them. |
kikero:Why would I be stupid and run to any hospital knowing that they lack the facilities to treat me and I might put other vulnerable people at risk? I will make use of the hotline built specifically for this purpose, if they don't answer I will present myself to the infectious disease hospital in Yaba, which the staff there already told them to do if the story is correct. Not all hospitals are made equal and if a patient can't be taken care of they get referred to a place that can. I have worked in hospitals before so I know how these things go. |
Olodo24:Doctors and nurses are people and not magicians, this isn't some movie where they can clap hands and heal patients without themselves getting sick or making others sick as well. |
RiyaGoddess:No sir your post made no sense at all, if they lack the tools and equipment to treat the patient why would they expose themselves and other patients to the disease? Doctors around the world are dying right now because they were not adequately protected and worked themselves to death while sick. Worse of all is your statement for a government hospital to close down, just how does that help anyone? ![]() |
Nigerians love being stubborn. Hope if they fall sick they won't be disturbing us up and down asking for healing prayers when they could have used simple common sense. ![]() |
Honestly people who act this way don't deserve help when the disease comes knocking. |
ovieigho:The Noah's flood myth isn't a true story, it isn't even an original story. It copied the Epic of Gilgamesh. Please tell me why the European imported religion is the true religion and all the other flood myths around the world are made up stories? |
Dicktion:My fish isn't responding |
The response to the outbreak in this country has been very poor, we have been mostly reactive and not proactive. The truth is that we should be shifting attention to mass testing and treating people presenting symptoms before their condition worsens. We could have stopped this at the border but didn't, we were already congratulating ourselves in helping one Italian. Our laxity in monitoring incoming travellers is starting to bite us in the ass. |
I'm seeing more red flags in this post than a Chinese military parade. My guy I'm sure she either isn't interested or she is the cheating type and letting you know beforehand. Or maybe she's a domineering control freak who thinks you can't be put on a leash because you package yourself better than other guys. Either way run.......... and buy her hand sanitiser. By the way is her name Natacha? |
Just look at this elongated gutter rat. ![]() He should be tried and if found guilty, quickly be disposed of. |
Wow this Coronavirus seems to be targeting specific individuals. |
todugo:They aren't testing the common man |
Slawormir:Does that make any of this right?
|
And some silly fellows still held prayers in that same state. ![]() |
Scout60:That's the thing, we as Africans have the wrong priorities. When looking for a leader the last thing we should consider is their age, sure it is a wonderful thing to have lived so long but if they are not capable of working they shouldn't be in the most important office in arguably all of West Africa. I would rather have a 40 year old president who gets things done and takes responsibility than a 70 year old who sits around blaming the masses while using their same tax money for foreign medical trips. |
