My fear is the quality of their investigators and their lawyers - the rich (corrupt), would always have better lawyers - money talks.

I won’t be surprised if Fayose parades a multitude of SANs, how many can EFCC pay for.

That is the more reason Buhari’s EO is extremely important, this is to cripple those who have corruption cases - decimate then financially by seizing their assets.

You talk about corruption but you never mentioned the bill sitting fallow in our NASS - the request for special courts - this would help fast track the prosecution.

There is no doubt that corruption has not been eradicated and I doubt if it has subsided -but when we read that JAMB is remitting billions ( for the first time ever) to the federation then you can only but smile - finally ministries are become either more efficient or are stealing less.

The NASS has become a clog in the progress of this government- we were all witness to the outcry of Fashola - his budget for the Lagos Ibadan expressway (and many others) was massively reduced - so the NASS could fund boreholes and increase their own budget - no one went on the street to protest nor did anyone scream when Shehu Sani laid bare the greed of our NASS.

I am with you on the promises but am sure if we had a more humane National Assembly this government would have done a lot more. A National Assembly that would participate in nation building as opposed to protecting their greed and malfeasance— are they not responsible for oversight activities to ensure that each federal ministry is performing well.

It will be hard selling Obi as a unifying factor not only to the North but even to the South West, we all will remember how he instigated hatred against Yoruba people by sensationalizing Fashola’s innocent action when he repatriated beggars on the street of Lagos and handed them over to their state governments. There are more beggars of Northern origin in Lagos than there are from the South East, not a single Northern Governor accused Fashola of any discrimination or incited hatred against Yoruba people.

“When you are in politics seeking public office, people will not look at the length of your CV, the schools you attended etc, they will be more concerned with your antecedents.

“This is the time people will remind you about your past. Atiku and Obi’s past are not lost in our memories. And the best place to remind them is the polling booths.

We are blessed in this country with beautiful weather, in the states, guys look forward to the summer so they can dig out their shorts - and these come in a variety of designs.

Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie and true religion are my favorite designers when it come to shorts.

Ubi is following this year’s trend - regular fit shorts but he would have been better of wearing jean cut off - which extend to your knee cap or a bit below.

Cargo shorts seem to be going out of Fashion but I won’t be surprised when they make come back.

Npower, just like Market Moni is just a way this government has devised to pay peanuts to Nigerians, keep their dreams limited, and make them subservient.
The beneficiaries of the programs will tell you "Half a loaf is better than nothing". But come to think of it, what does the pay do for them? Nothing, but keeping them alive to hope for the next peanuts.

Looking at it critically, those that have been receiving Npower funds, how have their lives improved?
How many of those youths even participate in the community service that's attached to the program.

What if rather than give 1Million people 30K monthly, you set up 30 thousand entrepreneurs with 1million naira, for 12 sets.

Same money will be spent, but the impact will be more profound.

That's Peter Obi's position has always been spot on.

It only takes a smart government to decipher what will grow the economy. Sadly this administration is far from smart.

So is that what Peter Obi did in Anambra, did he have a scheme that created 30,000 entrepreneurs and gave them 1m naira each?

Without proper training, without light and without proper infrastructure how will those entrepreneurs be created - and don’t mention buy and sell or farming (buhari already beat you guys to that)

There is no commitment - I was talking to a nursing student from Owerri a few days ago who told me point blank that she would not do her internship in a government hospital, eventhough they would pay her more money (about 180k a month), the reason, she said , was because all the government equipment had been stolen by the docs and taken to their private practice.


The government hospitals basically lack basic equipment to treat patients.

It didn't begin now. They had to totally clean out the 16+ years abandoned files dumped to rot in their office by PDP governments of the past and then compute it.

Right now all pensioners data has been computerized for easy disbursement and given them enablement to easily trace discrepancies.
