I have spent most of my life single. I tried linking up with people but to no avail. Why? I will not do the blame game here. Is all my fault. I meet someone, get heed over heels for the person but I lose interest easily. When it comes to commitment, when the friendship is to get to the next level I ghost them. I don't know why. At best out of the blue I lose interest and become blank, not returning calls or replying messages, at worst I become disgusted at the fellow for no reason at all then move one to the next male friend. Nothing serious comes out of it...

So I decided to give up trying. My female friends and I go on an outing, some guys approach us and get our numbers. Months (sometimes years) later they are still waxing strong with the males, one of them even got married to one of them. But me? After a couple of weeks I find myself having to ghost the guy that I was head over heels for.

I gave up on love and chose to be single. I have been single for years now.

I met this guy march this year,we bonded like never before. I have never in my entire life felt like this before. It is so strange that each conversation we have all seems anew like we are starting all over.

It's almost ten months and the fire is still intense.
I have never had such a long friendship with a male. People assume we are dating. He gives me so much JOY... He is so awesome, different from all the others i have known. He changed me.

I just figured out i want to end the friendship, I don't know why. I am tired. I want to walk away. The passion is still there but i want to be away. I wanted to get a new SIM but my conscience will not. What has kept me from doing this is because i wonder how he will feel..

I want to walk away. Will i regret this?

And second, you are a man. So, just like the Jews who thought the Messiah could not be born to a carpenter, you are also thinking that the Messiah could only be born by a virgin. Many Jews rejected Jesus Christ because they felt they knew God's plans. Their thoughts were that Jesus was going to be born into either a royal family or an influential family. They thought He would help them drive away the Romans. So, when Jesus was born to a carpenter, they concluded that He could never be the Messiah they were told to expect. They were thinking like men just as you are thinking like a man.

We are not to dwell on the miracle of a virgin getting pregnant. That is not the essence of Christmas or of our salvation. Nor does it answer the question of the OP.

Whether Mary was a virgin or a prostitute would not have mattered. What would have mattered is the Son of God incarnating in the womb of a human being. The womb could have been the womb of a prostitute or a thief or the worst sinner.

Remember the Savior of the world was born in a manger. Does the manger matter in our story of Salvation. No! The only thing that matters is Christ.

So, the question of the OP is "Would God Have Chosen Mary If She Were Not A Virgin"?

The simple answer is: It doesn't matter what Mary was. What mattered was that the Savior had to come as man. Mary was only lucky to find God's favor. She was not the only young woman. She only found favor.

However, my own point is that Mary's virginity is insignificant in the whole story. That was why it was never mentioned in the whole of the Bible. The only thing Mary enjoyed was God's favor. She was not the only young woman or even virgin in the whole of Israel.

Listen, bro, the virginity or otherwise of Mary had nothing to do with Jesus's sinless nature.

Everyone was a virgin at one time or the other, but we were all born with Original Sin, even Mary.

The Roman Catholic Church try to change the narrative by claiming that Mary was also born immaculate (that is, without Original Sin), but there is no basis for this in Scriptures.

On the contrary, there is a verse in the Bible that counters this false teaching.

And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior..." (Luke 1:46-47)

If Mary were sinless, why would she need a Savior?

In summary, Christ is sinless not because He came through a virgin, but because He is the Son of God incarnated in the womb of a human being. The womb does not matter. It could have been any womb.

The Hebrew word used in the Isaiah verse you have quoted above is "Almah" - that word means "young woman". It does not mean virgin. That is a mistranslation -

The word which translates as virgin is actually "betulah" and that word is not used with respect to Mary.

Just a light question to anyone faced with something similar.
So I met this lovely lady. We've been together dating for a year and half and been friends for like a year an half before dating, which makes it three years of knowing each other.
Now to the issue.
Before dating, she told me her parent won't approve because of my tribe, as her parents wants someone from their state. But we decided to give it a try.
Fast forward to this moment, things have not changed from her parents point.
Her parents have even promised to work her youth service to her state to see if she can meet a man from their tribe. Which I was cool with, as I have always told her it's fine if she meets another man from her place.
But recently I've been on her neck for a breakup, not because I am seeing anyone I just don't want it to come as a surprise what she meets someone else. But she refused my breakup talk. And insist we stay, she don't even want to hear about it. Truth is, I actually do her love her.
