Nairaland General › Re: Why The Stigmatisation Of Women Who Smoke? by femi4: 12:07pm On Nov 29, 2021
Datboredberry:
I'm as very light smoker- at most, three to four cigarettes a week...

I'm very young, and I started smoking two years ago...

In our society, if a woman is known to be a smoker... She's looked down on... And false assumptions are made of her personality...

Why the stigmatisation? I know men are victims too but women who smoke are viewed as classless etc... While with men, it's simply a bad habit...

What's your opinion on women who smoke? And what's your reason?

I would appreciate comments based on experiences rather than bias...

And I need valid points how SMOKING directly indicates a wayward woman...

Thanks!
How can 4sticks and light smoker be in the same sentence

I think it's too late for Peter and Paul (psquare)
They were the deal after the era of 2face, but greed got a hold of them... Just too bad.

The duo who sang various hits songs that gained international recognitions would have put their name in the hall of fame, by winning grammies ( yes, they had it coming) but they let their emotions ruin it all.

Who don't know psqauare?
Rnb, pop, hiphop abi na party jam?
Quality videos and dance choreography.

However their break up paved the way open for a lot of upcoming artist, maybe we won't have been hearing the name fireboy today or omah lay or rema.

just maybe wizkid might not have won his first Grammy award.(not when the duos are still there at the top)

Just maybe burna boy might still have been underated, because the bigs shots psquare are there holding the number one spot

Hearing the news of their reunion gave us joy, but still we all know the game have changed.
Their era is somehow long passed!

Am afraid to say, Peter and Paul held their career down with their own hands and I see nothing much left for them in the present nigeria music industry filled with youngsters with different beats, voice and styles.

Making comebacks it's not easy, especially when it's this long, if not ask 2face and Duncan mighty how e dey be cheesy.

Psquare songs are good, no doubts but Times have changed.

We are talking about two "married men" with wife's and kids competing with this Young folks out here afresh, it won't be easy.

just an opinion

David Hundeyin is a brilliant and the hottest investigative journalist in Nigeria at the moment, who always with his articles cause problem for the ruling class to the extent that they so hate him and hunting for him. He's currently on exile, even the old fashioned, traditional, brown envelope styled journalist in Nigeria also hate him for his gut, no-nonsense take and the impact his articles usually make.

if you are not reading his investigative stories, articles, or following him on Twitter, then you are missing so much of information and analysis of Nigeria's politicial climate.

And he's just 31. That's how you make impact.
He's a kind of inspirational person the young generation can look up to in the rotten system; a fresh breath of hope, love for justice, integrity, competence, and excellence, yet young.

Onahi95:
Most Nigerians are of the opinion that Business is the answer to the ever raising number of unemployed youths. What most doesnt know is that business too has its own challenges and not for the faint hearted. I would be sharing some of my experiences trying to do business.

**First Experience**
Growing up I've always been a lover of business, I remember after my secondary education I was given two options of university education or business. I choose business without batting an eyelid. I think it was during the early days of Goodluck's tenure when ports were closed so most importations where from Cotonou Port and the goods smuggled into Nigeria.

I gathered small capital with the help of relatives and would go to Cotonou to get male jeans and resale in wholesale to my customers in Nigeria, I went on a trip at least once a week which gives me an average of 30k to 40k profit per week because my capital wasn't much. I started with 200k and within a little over a year I was counting in millions before my legendary village people gave me a call.

My logistics agent put my goods in a vehicle transporting second hand tyres, which was intercepted at Benin and everything got impounded. After spending so much for the release of the goods it was released several months later only for us to meet goods not up to 10% of what was originally seized. It was devastating and I came crashing down to square one. All attempts to gather another capital proved abortive.
You went into biz without factoring risk minimization.

2. You were doing legal biz using illegal means

I'm at a crossroad. I feel like I should start taking responsibilities by paying my tithes from the little I have now but the problem is I'm not a church type. It's been over 2 years that I last went to a church cos of some personal reasons and convictions.

Now, how do I take care of my responsibilities as a Christian(I still see myself as a Christian, just that some of the things been done in the church today doesn't sit well with me).
How do I pay my tithe without going to churchhuh
Your tithe will not be acceptable before God. Jesus spoke about people like you below

Luke 11:42:

“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.” (ESV)
Christianity Etc › Re: Why There Are No Aborted Or Dead Babies In Hell by femi4: 10:16am On Nov 28, 2021
jesusjnr2020:
Why There Are No Aborted Or Dead Babies In Hell

The closest any human being could get to physically meeting God or seeing His ways and how things were done in His Kingdom which is in heaven, here on Earth, is through meeting and observing the ways of little children. Hence Jesus used them as examples for His disciples to emulate, saying, "Of such is the kingdom of heaven". Mark 10:14

So if little children are the ones that remind God of heaven most when He looks down at the Earth, why would He want to send them to hell?

The souls in hell are workers of iniquity, hence little children of whom Jesus said, "of such is the kingdom of God", including the unborn who have never worked iniquity, could not possibly be in hell. Matthew 13:41-41; Revelation 21:8

The woman who said she saw aborted babies in the following thread, https://www.nairaland.com/6868933/kathy-mcdaniel-misfit-hell-heaven, never spoke of their souls but exposed how those of devil kill/abort them, and how they dump their dead bodies. But of course the agents of the devil would want to misinterpret that to mislead humans and to blaspheme the name of God.

But the devil is a liar and was a murderer since the beginning. John 8:44

He's the thief who never comes to any man except to steal, kill and destroy his life just like he did to man in the beginning, so it would be foolish to fall for his lies. John 10:10

A word is enough for the wise.
You can't judge them cos they are yet to know good or bad

Mercisharelove:
Try as much as possible with you, never to hurt anyone as you wish, because..

GOD ALMIGHTY made man in his own image and after his likeness. Anyone who have seen the semblance of GOD ALMIGHTY and man have seen GOD ALMIGHTY and CHRIST JESUS

Not with your optical eyes anyway. When you hurt us, you hurt the ONE who sent us and that will be working for satan.

Satan has vow to make war with human race. Especially against us who do good and spreads it the world over.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon - satan was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of JESUS CHRIST.

Don‘t be an agent of darkness. You were created in POWER and WISDOM to perform goodworks which GOD ALMIGHTY pre-prepared ahead of the ages.

Fulfill your HEAVENLY FATHER'S dream for earth.

Make this world habitable for all. Even for animals and every other creatures.

JESUS said “you should preach the gospel - goodness - work to every creatures under HEAVENS“.

Acting the goodness of GOD ALMIGHTY and CHRIST JESUS not just some empty talk.

Do the talk

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Christians Worship On Sundays? by femi4: 10:10am On Nov 28, 2021
Solofresh2:
Hello Nairaland Christians, have you for once wondered why you christains worship on Sundays and not the Sabbath day.

If you study your Bible well, you will realize that when GOD was done with his creations,he rested on the Seventh day and blessed it saying we should keep it holy.

Now, looking at the days of the week, the seventh day of the week is Saturday and not Sunday.Sunday is the first day of a new week.
So,why do we worship on Sundays and not the seventh day of the week?
Are we really following God's commandments at all or we are just deceiving ourselves?
The day chosen to worship corporately is not as important as the worship. After all the Lord of the Sabbath made it known that a day isn't superior to others

If they didn't ask for it, don't include it, some of them even ask for your CV in excel format.

When applying for jobs, it's vital to understand and obey instructions on how to apply
