There was no wrong in what they did.
They weren't paid the last month, and after having hopes they would receive their full pay the next month, they got disappointed.
They didn't strike but only returned the money. You focusing on their protest and not the actions of the oppressor just enables other oppressors. This is Nigeria where people act anyhow because they're in power.
There is a civil way of going about your agitation in a corporate world. Dialogue comes before protest

Please don't repeat this again. The way some of you talk and handle yourselves is one of the reasons why employers treat you like trash. Salary is not a gift, it is your right as agreed in the contract of employment you entered into with your employer. Your employer have no right whatsoever to unilaterally breach that contract by paying you 50% without any prior notice or agreement. It's a different thing if you were notified ahead but you disagree
You're not civilized.

This is absolute farce! There is no labour law that stipulates that a worker should be paid a portion of his salary. A worker is entitled to his or her full salary at the end of the month unless he or she is being paid pro-rata. Was there a dialogue or an agreement before the half of salary was paid? The HOD should get a lawyer and fight for an unlawful dismissal.
You lack comprehension

Why were they paid only 50% without any form of dialogue or notice? Or was that professional also?
This is how you people support oppression. Instead of addressing the main issue, you're saying something else.

My younger who is age 20 has been battling with a sickness for over a year now.
His body is swelling up.
Eyes, neck, legs and stomach. They all appear puffed
.
We have done all kinds of test and treatment, nobody has been able to diagnose the nature of the sickness.
There is no pain whatsoever, just swellings especially after a nap.
Also he sleeps more than usual.
There was a period it went down for like 3 months.
But now we are back to it again.
He is having difficulty in breathing because of the throat swellings
I will be attaching some of the drugs he is using.
And will be available to answer questions.

Pls ignore the typos here.
Take him to India, his excretory organ is malfunctioning

It is factual that the case of unemployment in the Nigerian sphere has led to the unwanted maltreatment of members of staff of private organizations. Some business owners especially private school owners are becoming more and more insensitive to the plight of the members of their staff in our present day society.
I work in a school where I am paid 50k as an academic staff. We did not get our pay in August because school was not in session. However, wen we resumed in September, the proprietor decides to ease our stress by giving everyone 5k. At the end of the month, without prior notice he decided to pay us 50% of our salary. We were dumbfounded by this act. With the level of disappointment, my HOD decided that we should return the 50% as a sign of our displeasure. About seven of us obliged and returned the 50% salary.
When the proprietor learnt about it, he was furious. He ended up relieving the HOD of his duty. Sighting that he was a threat to his establishment. For the rest of us, we will know our fate tomorrow whether we will stay or leave. I hope I stay though because I I prefer to leave on my own and not asked to leave.
Why will you return the money without any form of dialogue first. That's unprofessional, even NLC will first dialogue with govt before embarking on strike

Popular Nigerian relationship blogger, Blessing Okoro has disclosed that s.ex are the most boring.

According to Blessing Okor, spending more time during s.exual intercourse doesn't mean that you are good in bed.

She further indicated that s.ex is about knowing the right spot to touch adding that s.ex should last for 30 minutes.

"longer sex are the most boring sex. Being good in bed is not how long you spend,it's knowing the right spot to touch. In 30 minutes you should be done with s.ex" Blessing Okoro said in a self-made video.

Due to Nigeria economy issue and business is not booming for now, I decided to enter class for the first time in my life, even though both my first degree and masters degree is in Education. I was surprised my certificates worth in osun state could amount to ordinary 30,000 Naira.
They said teachers reward is in heaven, and doctors rewards should be on Earth, who is doctor without teacher that taught them in schools? Teachers are nation builders and future shapers, Why should we below pyramid of wages and salary.
Did you know the funniest thing? I am happy that I got the job, at least the 30k will be going into monthly contribution I joined.
But who did teachers offended offend? We are also human and with needs..

VaselineCrew:
All day on this forum, one can witness the hate Nigerian tribes have for each other, so why don’t we all just split amicably?

I’ve never seen where you hate someone so much, yet choose to remain in contact with such a person.

Isn’t it common sense?

Or am I missing something?

There is no day, igbos, Yorubas , Hausas... don’t get insulted here, some even wish for the death of the whole tribe.

So you would rather eradicate a whole tribe than have them leave you?

I don’t understand the logic.
Refuse to divide? That's a lie

Sometimes, we share our happiness just because we have a great-to-hear story.
It was teachers' day celebration few days back and my boss gave the teachers 350k to mark the celebration. The money was to be shared amongst the primary and secondary teachers but we included the Janitors, Admins and drivers, who on a normal day were in the habit of exempting themselves from being called teachers. Lol. But once money was involved, they became at-the-moment teachers.
We had about 200 "teachers" sharing the 350k and so we all opted for us to get something like a very good household appliance and share it amongst us, meanwhile a lot others suggested that we invest the money and get it back in December and then share it...some key people will not hear that...lol! They however bought each of us chicken.
I didn't know how to feel when they handed me my own full chicken. Lol, it's the last thing I wanted. Household appliance would have been the best for me but, "the key people" probably felt we needed protein or maybe they needed to patronise a parent. Regardless, I am just glad that I got celebrated by my boss, who is not the best of bosses but knew to celebrate the teachers.

This made me happy this week.

So what made you happy this week?
Did you leave Nigeria?
Did you welcome a new baby?
You resumed at your new job?
You resigned from an energy-depleting job?
You ended a toxic relationship?
You got promoted?
You met your better half?
You got an alert accidentally?
Please share.
I ended a relationship with NASCO cornflakes
