leokid866:Ok. If you insist. |
Which Nigeria? ![]() |
leokid866:Where is forex to import? Who did you think solely import fuel in the last 8 years? |
Subsidy is partially back through the backdoor. NNPC gets loan to stabilize the current price of petrol with FG's guarantee, which in turn saves FG from the embarrassment of 'policy summersault' supplementary budget journey to NASS. I stand to be corrected. Short term measure to allow both FG and the people to breath but still not the enduring answer. |
Patience Jonathan was a highly assertive first lady who had most influence on her husband followed by Turai Yar'adua. Aisha Buhari was a hot-headed first lady but met her match in her stubborn husband Muhammed Buhari and therefore had least influence followed by the gentle late Stella Obasanjo. Oluremi Tinubu is obviously not a hot head and she is crafty. Being a politician, she understands the laws of power and power of social media. Time will tell how much influence she would have on President Tinubu but to any close observer, her organizing receptions for D'Tigress and Super Falcons points to a a woman who thinks ahead and takes advantage of gaps. |
Napata77:Using your phone and internet to communicate with me now makes you COLONISED too. Do you know the spiritual forces behind the phone and Internet you are using? Do you know if you bow before them and renew allegiance each time you open your phones or go on the net, agreeing to the terms and conditions? You see the written terms and conditions but do you know the content of the unwritten terms and conditions? |
Napata77:It is obvious from your post that you experienced cognitive dissonance about your choice of spirituality following your argument with "one colonised Igbo girl". If you are sure and convinced of what you believe in, you shouldn't have come here to rhapsodize. |
Well... Politics, bloody hell! |
Mallam Nasir El Rufai worked hard and aggressively for President Tinubu's election just like many other politicians. However, immediately after elections, he ruffled feathers by openly and rather selfishly requesting Tinubu to back Hon. Tajudeen Abbas for the position of speaker of House of Representatives (HoR). See https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/03/compensate-me-by-supporting-iyan-zazzau-to-be-speaker-el-rufai-begs-tinubu/ Many APC bigwigs who were still savouring the the party's victory were taken aback. However, in show of appreciation, Tinubu granted his wish and lobbied to make Tajudeen Abbas the Speaker of the HoR. Then he created impression that he had answers to Nigeria energy problem and worked with some experts on possible solutions with recommendations to Tinubu. This singular act made many believe that he will be given the Minister of power and accordingly even at the Senate he was asked about his plans for Power Ministry. However, many people around Tinubu and in fact Tinubu himself were becoming worried about El Rufai intellectual overbearingness. And when he suggested rather very persuasively that gas should be brought under ministry of power and named Ministry of Energy, many Northern politicians especially VP Shettima sensed that El Rufai was positioning himself for presidency after Tinubu. Thus, a conspiracy took place with subtle support from Tinubu and El Rufai was left out in the cold. Having fought many to strengthen his political grip in the past, El Rufai should be able to take his 'L' with philosophical calmness. With his boys as Governor of Kaduna and Speaker of HoR and his first son as member of HoR, El Rufai is not completely a loser provided those boys of his will remain loyal. |
Saying all kinds of things against Gov. Soludo on social media because you support Peter Obi won't change the fact that he is not doing badly as governor of Anambra State. Save your fireworks till when the campaign for his second term starts. He is just 18 months in the saddle of 4-year tenure. It is not often who started to laugh first, it is who laughed last. Gov. Soludo's performance in 4 years will make or mar his political career in the eyes of majority of ACTUAL Anambra State voters. |
Yes, the operating environment is hostile but with its massive investment in Nigeria and equally massive shayo market, Guinness will only leave Nigeria when the economy is completely down. |
Otunbakayce:Cadavers can tap in the morgue tray, so its confirmed that you are a walking dead. |
leokid866:So because an idea failed under Buhari, we should fold hand instead of finding out what made it fail and how to improve. What exactly is your point? |
Nnamaka1: ![]() |
Otunbakayce:You are an absolute cadaver with a rotten brain. |
leokid866:Any idea conceived and implemented with proper evaluation and monitoring will never produce high level of defaults. However, it will if it was deliberately implemented to do favours to some classes of people. |
The good thing about eating one's words is that it doesn't make one fat. However, this new development even if it is being considered is a red flag that President Tinubu is not as prepared for governance as he campaigned. Unfortunately, not appearing for media interactions or debate didn't help. That President Tinubu knew he would implement the removal of subsidy and floating of Naira soon after inauguration but had no plans to manage the consequences of the these major policy shift paints a scary picture about his future policies. My suggestion is that Tinubu could go on and appoint Wale Edun the Finance minister as well as appoint his President Economic Team for the usual armchair 'economic indicators' advice. However, he should he headhunt for some young hothead economists and financial experts and place them under his office to serve as his thinktank in brainstorming on policies and programs, engaging in scenario planning, doing risk-benefit analyses, SWOT Analysis, etc to give him the big picture and bird eye view advantages. We need practical ideas from thinking out of box to solve our problems here rather than some textbooks stuff. How on earth is value of Naira falling and the CBN is speaking grammar. How about rolling about plans with sincere incentives to encourage the local production and exports to cure our trade deficits. Nothing is happening in our economy at the moment. We are just selling crude oil. What about other solid natural minerals? If we share borders with Niger, are we sure we don't have uranium? |
Gandrova:If you can't discern the mistakes of your father or grandfather with the benefit of hindsight, then you are a walking cadaver. |
opius:Why not, if they love each other. ![]() |
That Amalgamation ought not to have been signed. It was a big mistake. There was no basis for any amalgamation. It brought neighbours who were living apart happily and interfacing together peacefully and fruitfully to live together as a family in sadness with destiny and potential of each of the neighbours kept in state of inertia. |
Getting stuck in an elevator can cause panic attack. It is a sad experience. So, we thank God for Prof and his wife for getting out alive. We also urge him to recheck his BP status. ![]() |
GoodGovernance:How can you or anybody judge the babe in question if you don't know the factors that influence her taste of men? |
Beverlyjean:By his behaviour, is Davido a tout or not? |
nepapole:What do you mean that the babe no get taste because she is dating Portable. What is wrong with Portable apart the small sko sko wey dey him head and by the way, everybody including you get peculiar signature sko sko. Portable is doing well financially. He is famous. He is a man who has impregnated his wives, which means his 'machine gun' is sharp. As a Muslim, he is entitled to four wives. He is not the ugliest man. Above all, Portable is titled man in his community and he is king of Zazu and in case you don't know, a king is a king. So, what exactly is your beef with him? ![]() |
chidiokay:ECOWAS didn't cut electricity to Niger, keeping the whole country in darkness. And I bet after all this palaver is over, they will pursue their dam construction with far reaching consequences for our Kainji dam. |
One trait Nnamdi Kanu should dump like a smelly trash is indulging people to engage in all kinds of emotional behaviors to show love and devotion to him. Showing relish to such a*se-licking acts projects him as a man who gets high on vainglories. For example in the picture above, he should have stretched his hand for a manly firm handshake or better still a bear hug. Recall, when he was on bail in the past, he allowed IPOB members who approached him to hit their foreheads on ground as mark of respect. An Igbo person will only willingly kneel before his chi. But most young IPOB members has desecrated this out of emotion in relating to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. |
I agree with Sule Lamido to an extent. From sudden "subsidy is gone" proclamation to cutting power supply to Niger with threat of war, it is obvious President Tinubu needs a bit of circumspection and consequence analysis in making policy decisions. |
Sounds like Reno Omokri is having some good times with Tinubu's men in Abuja. ![]() |
Bloggers often post fairy tales as truths in order to drive traffic and earn income. Well, every business has risks and hazards. Just as they smile to the bank with earnings, bloggers who take risks should be ready to go to court when sued for their contents. It is what it is. |
Fine! Beautiful! France and US should immediately get behind this group and leave Nigeria alone. We have enough problems on our plate. |
Leave Gov. Soludo alone. That the Obidients badmouth him online and discredit his actions while praising their own Gov. Otti of Abia State is not enough reason to come here and say that he is the worst governor. Gov. Soludo is not doing badly and time will tell. |
