ufotunang:The same way your politicians look into your eyes and defend their manipulated results until Supreme Court rules that there was an electoral fraud. What do you say about this? |
SmartPolician:Swear that in all your dealings from primary schools till now that you have NEVER had any cause to falsify a fact or tell a lie to gain certain advantage in life. Only a few Nigerian will boast of this. Even President Tinubu's credentials seem heavily suspicious but he is the president today. The former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun was given a soft landing for forging her NYSC certificate instead of a prison term and we moved on like nothing happened. FFK is being prosecuted for forging doctor's report to miss court sitting. It is easy to shout crucify! Crucify! Yes, fraud is bad but but nobody holy pass |
Never easy eating the humble pie but the good thing is that it doesn't make you fat but just clears your conscience |
Miss Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme was victim of the fear of not meeting people's expectations. Obviously, she was troubled about how to face and explain to her school teachers, fellow students and admirers that she scored lowly 249 in JAMB contrary to expectations of her as a high-flier. That is why it is important that parents teach their children how to face humiliations and failures in life and help them overcome these sure-to-come life challenges rather put more pressure on them. That is also why the current 'pampering' educational reward system in private school where every child goes with one award or another at the end of the session in order to help their egos is bad. |
Sen. Bukola Saraki will make a good chairman if he decides to work sincerely and not use his position to promote his presidential or vice presidential ambition. He has the political dexterity and suaveness required to build up PDP once again as well as lure Internally Displaced Politicians (IDPs) from APC. |
Where is Tinubu's plan for vocational and entrepreneurial education? Where are equipped schools for certifications? Everybody just dey talk, msheeew!!! Do the first thing first. |
well... |
I don't understand this. What about the other candidate Umeh Nkechinyere from Anambra State that JAMB certified as scoring the highest? Why is she not being celebrated or given scholarship? Is she not a worthy daughter of Anambra State like Mmesomma? Why is everybody focused on this girl with doubtful result? What is wrong with us even engaging tribal slanging match over the doubtful when the genuine is roundly ignored?I suggest that Seun splashed her picture on the FP as mark of honor rather than all these Mmesoma controversies. |
I heard he had a spine injury that was badly healed when he was younger leading him to walk with a slightly bent gait even in movies. May be he should seek help in United States as their medical expertise in spine rehabilitation has helped may ex-soldiers to live normal life with some internal prosthetic accessories. Wishing him a quick recovery to live his normal active life. |
Selena Gomez is being sincere here. Yes, she brought international flavor but then there is something in the song that made her jump on it. Rema deserves a Grammy for this international anthem. |
Tinubu promised to hit ground running. All of a sudden, he is now saying he will not run but baby-walk into solving Nigeria's problems. Well, we are still waiting for his strategies to manage inflation and hardship his tax regimes and reforms are throwing up. |

Excellent pro tips. However, old cat or not, daddy's boy will always be daddy's boy. |

femisplash:Floating Naira and removing subsidies are no big deal. Managing its effects on the inflation and disposable income of citizens is the Koko and he is yet to show he knows what to do to manage these realities. |
My president, the poor needs palliatives to survive your tax regimes. The poor can't breath. Seyi, please tell your dad. Please help the poor. |
Anybody expecting President Tinubu to fight corruption is daydreaming. He won't because his immense wealth came from corruption and the Senate President Godswill Akpabio is fantastically corrupt. All the politicians around him from Ganduje Kwakwanso, Wike to Mattawale are epitome of official corruption. So Tinubu knew he lacks the moral stand to fight corruption. Any fight against corruption under President Tinubu will be purely for political witch-hunting. |
Dear Uloka Chibuike, Gov. Soludo didn't call for boycott of Lagos. He was only asking ndi Anambra to come home and invest to improve the economy of their state. The Aku luo uno and Think-home philosophies were advocated by successive governors of Anambra State. So, this call for investment in Anambra State precedes Gov. Soludo's administration and will persist even after him. Anambra State needs to grow its micro-economy by encouraging establishment of businesses to create jobs and of course pay taxes. |
You are a patriot, Nuhu Ribadu. I can only wish you the best. May your ideas and plans succeed and bear fruits. Flee from the temptation of turning Asari Dokubo's gunmen into some sort of Wagner private army. I am saying this because I am still struggling to understand how and why Asari Dokubo was allowed to denigrate our national army at Aso Villa with coat of arms behind him. |
2mch:Wonder if you have you ever left your state of origin or region to another because, godamm it, you sound so stuffy and narrow. You need some fresh air. You need to see the world because not traveling obviously makes you see life as one-page book but it is not. For your information, your tribesmen who dared to sojourn enjoy the hospitality of other people and will equally suffer the effect of prejudiced state police personnel. |

This idea sounds good. Looks this 'Tinubu boy' IGP Olukayode Egbetokun has innovative plans for Nigerian Police and the good thing is that he will not sweat to secure presidential support. But given what happened in last general election particularly in Lagos, he shouldn't touch the issue of state police because omooor na better trap for non-indigenes in each of the states of the federation be dat. |
Africans don't leaders who will tell EU off that African leaders. We need visionary and smart leaders who will work to build and strengthen African countries' economies. Being prosperous naturally commands respect from peers rather than empty boasts. It is pure comedy if everyone knows that you live in a mud house but you still go to the village square to boast to people who live in mansions about how prosperous you are. I will prefer that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu goes quiet on international stage but becomes a FIRECRACKER back at home, fixing and expanding the economy to make Nigeria and Nigerians prosperous once again like the good old days of oil boom. |
In Nigeria, a sitting government uses public money to build a project and then boasts about it as its signature project as though it is a 'personal project'. So another government comes in and erases these signature projects to destroy the past government's source of pride and discredit it. It doesn't care how much of public money is used in building them. That's what is currently happening in Kano and it happened with TINAPA project, which was allowed to waste away with billions dollars already committed. This means that in Nigeria, governance is still not about the using the PEOPLE's money to meet their needs but about the political interests of selfish politicians. And this persists because the PEOPLE gullibly take sides with politicians and get short-changed like fools. |
Many Anambra businesspersons have stinking money lying idle due to lull in importation activities because they lack the requisite technical knowledge on how to diversify away from trading, which they have been doing all their lives. Therefore, apart from the smart cities and industrial estates being set up, Governor Soludo should take further steps to prepare some well-researched reports on industrial business opportunities in Anambra State. They should be guided on how to leverage their long-cultivated relationships with their business partners in Asia, Turkey, etc. to establish businesses Anambra State. So it won't make sense to speak grammar and fly back to Awka. And again, it won't make sense to clear more land for markets as there is urgent need to industrialize and create jobs. It is important to note that it is this same Aku luo uno philosophy that inspired Innoson to leave the chaotic Apapa-Oshodi expressway to go to serene Nnewi his home town and today he has no regrets. Coscharis and many others are already following suit. Chukwu gozibe Anambra State ka ochawapu! |
GeneralPula:I don't think Wizkid is shrinking. He has always been lean and fit but being interviewed by a man-mountain, no doubt, complicated things for him. |
I suggest Dammy does something more 'crazy' to secure her chase for fame and wealth. May be she should enrol in the next Big Brother Nigeria or something. By the way, I love her bullish character. Meanwhile, Hilda Balci has occupied this cook-a-thon niche and her beauty and 'dangerous' vital statistics are not helping matters. Unfortunately, besides boosting what appears like her capacity for oloshoism, Hilda hasn't built on the momentum of her achievement to use her brand to secure corporate endorsements, advertising modelling jobs, star appearance in movies, celebrity appearance at corporate, etc. |
orohbiro:Was he a kid when he was begging for votes? Come on, this is democracy. People have rights to suggest policy ideas and volunteer information that will help the the president or governor. Your man Tinubu knows that he is not omniscient and thats why he appointed special assistants. |
And 100 new military generals will be promoted. Na so! |
Tuition fee never enter the list. So it will still increase more. It is important to state that the student loan scheme is a ploy to introduce tuition to Federal Universities to free up more money for politicians to spend. It is never an act of improving human development. It is all about money. By the way, unless the economy picks up real quick, this Student loans scheme will likely end up like petroleum subsidy. Millions of unemployed and unemployable graduates who are beneficiaries will be unable to repay the loan. Ultimately, the World Bank and IMF will 'advise' FG to stop the loan scheme because trillions of Naira remain unrecovered. NB - We don't have to copy and paste other countries programs. Let us develop home-grown ideas to meet our needs. |
