ogugua88: You dey compare apples and oranges. Laugh dey go lol. All i see are apples and apples.....just different colours. ![]() |
This is wayyyy better than matrix. The pics have spoken, even tho they havn't done enough justice. Only get to see this beauty once in a while on our roads. Lovely ride ![]() |
1st February........& I am VERY complete ![]() |
ogugua88: Slimzy baby,Hehehehehehehehehe..... Dont worry, i know why this is funny, especially the bolded. i agree with you though |
vicope: I stand to be corrected! |
koruji: Honestly, the first time I saw the video it did not appear to be a big deal, but there are lessons for all sides.EOD! I only wish we could hound and make jest of our thieving politicians the same way we have virtually disgraced this man and his family for a relatively much less offence than the daylight robbery commited by the looters. I only wish most of those yabbing this man mercilessly can actually be able to string 4 sentences together in clear English while in a formal setting without adding pidgin or throwing bombs. I dont usually engage in detecting gbagauns on nairaland but I have taken note of certain usernames here; if I catch any of you throwing any grammatical bombs (not typos), I shall do my best to point it out Ogugua, I see your point more clearly now about the hypocrisy of the average Nigerian though I concur that it is something that is as widespread as it is uncontrollable to an extent. Mr. Shem made some errors which are quite inexcusable to a large extent, but the punishment & embarassment has been more than the crime. I wonder how most of us will feel if tomorrow's dailies carry headlines like "Embattled Lagos State NSCDC Boss suffers Heart Attack. Rushed to Hospital" (GOD FORBID). We've had our fun. I think it's enough. This man need not bear the full brunt of our anger at incompetent and corrupt public officials, especially the corrupt ones.& Someone will now tell me not to make jest of GEJ whenever he makes a gaffe (which is like almost all the time anyway). |
goldylock: Of course don't be silly muslims where there the only issue was that I was brave. I was brave through the maitasine period I was brave through the Gidion Akaluka period I was brave through the Jos crisis in 2001 I was brave through the sai Buhari crisis I was brave when the head of the of my place of work frustrated me out simply because am christian and Igbo I have been brave dear something you will never know the meaning of. Is it not the same sultan who u put up a link about that is asking for amnesty? You guys have mastered the art of tequiya so am not suprised. You can keep on defending evil that is your pot of tea. And of course asking what muslims have done for nigeria was senseless thanks for correcting me. The question should have been what good have muslims done for Nigeria.*sighs*, Alright. You've had the last word...since you have consistently failed to get my point. May God continue to protect you from people who think that by harming you, they are doing god a favour. & may He also let you realise the differences that exist between Islam's commandments and the actions of some muslims. oiseworld: Mr Buhari spokesman, well done. How are u soo sure he's not a sponsor eehen. Too know go kill you. You've been duly noticed bro. I won't even bother clarifying anything you've misinterpreted. You are well on your own. Thank you and take care . |
platinumricky: do u mean u can't tell the difference between the proportions of this and the evoque?See o! People (untrained eyes tho, i agree) are looking at this & at first glance they think its the Evoque! What an INSULT to the great Range Rover Sport But people, make una shina una eye na, Evoque small pass this one abeg, no be wetin una dey see ''last week'', or ''in front of my house'' or ''inside my bedroom'' be this. |
platinumricky: the bi-turbo 3.0L V6 (from the Jaguar XJ) will likely make the cut as well. That'll be nice. The 3.0d Biturbo in the XJ is a diesel tho. I'll want to hear how the engine will sound like when revved. It'll be very 'un-rangerover' like.....almost a mockery of the car.lol. Those things have been almost exclusively V8 since time immemorial.lol. But times have changed #saynotogasguzzlers&airpolluters.lol |
nony30: And who says u r poor?riches dwell in the mind.Think and grow rich!! This Range has been on Nigerian soil since last year.It is you that put it on the soil right?lol Don't confuse this with the normal RR o which was released last year o. These images are actually leaked images so we can expect the new RR Sport to be launched later this year....likely soon. |
platinumricky: The range-topping supercharged variant with the 500bhp+ 5.0 Litre V8 will eventually join the line-up to give the Mercedes ML63 AMG,BMW X5M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S a run for their money.Ok, its clearer now. A supercharged 5.0 V8 will top the line as usual & will indeed compete with these perfomance version bosses up there. But I'm xtill expecting a turbo charged V6 to be offered. |
Hmmm....not too impressed Yet. The RR sport appears to have been emasculated of sorts, as in this looks like something midway between the Evoque & the current generation RRS. Lets wait for the interior pics though we can imagine it won't be much different from that of the Evoque & the new Range Rover, which is quite nice enough anyway sha. Definitely good competition (will likely be more expensive though) for the Cayenne, X5, Q7 & the GL. Though to me, the GL is somehow on a class of its own as its a 7 seater & physically larger, & Land Rover apparently still don't know how to make 3rd row seats for their Range Rovers...tho that kinda seems like they are saying ''our RR SUV is not a large family carrier''. Get a freaking minivan if you need one ![]() Oh, & we can expect Uncle Coscharis to start selling this at twice the MSRP in the US. [s]Thank God for pre-order sha...for those who want to buy it[/s] & When exactly does Landrover wish to start offering turbo charged V6 engine options like the rest of the world as against the almost exclusive monstrous 5.0 V8s (them go still add superchargers on top for some) they never seem to get tired of putting in the hood of their rangerovers. & tthey had us hoping when they put a turbo charged i4 in the Evoque (same engine is found in the Ford Edge & Volvo s60). They should get a Turbo charged V6 from the F150 & offer it as part of the options jor. |
goldylock: My friend the north was home untill all of u boko haram and Osama wannabes made it hell on earth. I don't need stories from anyone I have first hand knowledege and as for googling lemme just indulge u. Follow theses links and tell me what you think I just typed in boko haram and muslims so I won't be biased and here is what I gotGoldy sweetie, [s]i'm falling in like with you o, hope you are pretty and not as naughty as you are displaying here [/s] you see, by the 1st bolded, you have clearly justified my stand on the origins of this boko issue. i ask you, when the north was "home" i.e. peaceful i presume, where there no muslims in the north?? Did Islam just get to the north?? Look, you can insult islam all you want but the truth is that Islam does not condone offensive violence. That is just the truth & the only way you'll understand this is if you study islam with an unbiased mind. Believe me when i tell you that extremists (there's a reason they are called extremists) who commit all sorts of crimes in the name of Islam have misunderstood and deliberately ignored parts of the Qurán. There's a reason why the word Islam is derived from an arabic word which means peace. There's a reason why the Qurán is the greatest book ever to be revealed to mankind containing facts that scientists are only just discovering now. There's a reason why people in Europe, US are accepting Islam. & learn to distinguish between the actions some adherents of a religion practice & what the religion actually teaches. There are verses in the Qurán that if i quote them for you', you'll be very surprised they are in the book, whereas, they are there. Seriously babe, Islam truly means peace. Do not castigate the religion based pon the actions of a few bad eggs. If you choose to keep attacking islam, well, continue deriving your satisfaction (if any) from doing so. You asked a question earlier "What have muslims done for nigeria?" That question is to say the least, senseless (no offence). Even if it was a muslim who asked me what have christians done in Nigeria, or a yoruba man asking what an igbo man has done in nogeria, its still a senseless question. There are christians i respect and admire and i know there are some muslims who have made huge impact in the lives of several christians. We are all human beings and both muslims and xtians believe we will one day stand before God for judgement. So why the hate? I do not make wild disparaging comments on christianity despite the fact that I'm convinced islam is the one true religion. It would be unfair for anyone to assume homo..sex.uxal.ity is condoned by the bible simply because religious leaders who probably know the entire Bible off hand are indulging in it. Again, we are all humans and we have different characters which may well be dissociated from our religious beliefs. Get that. Now, about muslims condemning BH, you can like to go through these: http://www.informationng.com/2011/12/muslim-leaders-pledge-to-join-forces-against-boko-haram-condemn-can-head%E2%80%99s-comments.html http://nigerianssavingnigerians.org/2011/12/27/nigerian-islamic-leaders-sultan-of-sokoto-condemn-boko-haram/ http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/muslim-leaders-condemn-christmas-day-bombings/105897/ http://muslimsagainstterror.com/boko-haram-is-muslims-and-the-prophets-worst-enemy-sheikh-gumi-gets-bomb-attempt/ http://www.gbooza.com/group/crime/forum/topics/muslim-leader-condemns-boko-haram#axzz2NSs2HV3v http://muslimvoices.org/religious-groups-condemn-boko-haram/ http://newsrescue.com/nigerian-muslims-condemn-boko-haram-sheik-gumi-preaches-the-suicide-bombers-god/#axzz2NSsRmxT5 https://www.nairaland.com/833341/muslim-leaders-condemn-christmas-bombings http://en.islamtoday.net/artshow-233-4295.htm http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/islamic-professor-condemns-boko-haram http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/35184-muslims-disown-boko-haram.html https://www.nairaland.com/799116/muslim-congress-condemns-boko-haram Goldylocks dear, I hope this has effectively PUT PAID to your assertions that muslims dont comdemn boko haram. See why I said you were hating. I have more links incase you are still not convinced. & oh, I used google, though like i predicted, your own google wont have come up with these results (stop being naughty o, you hear). |
goldylock: I read them well before hitting the submit button. Those bolded parts are for you to reflect on. What have muslims done for NigeriaClarifications indeed. I laugh. I think it is really obvious to even an UNBIASED and SINCERE christian with a good sense of reasoning, who exactly it is that is posting trash. I've given you an assignment already - Speak to someone, anyone, resident in the north & is familiar with happenings there. Also, google up past news articles about muslims condemning BH (tho i suspect your own google would obviously not come up with any results). When you are willing to state facts, apply logical reasoning and offer unemotional (even if opposing) opinions on this matter, i'll be glad to engage you in a discussion as we all have limited knowledge & are supposed to constantly gain more from others. Lastly, STOP HATING. It won't do you any good. |
goldylock: Like seriously? Who are the clerics condeming boko haram? Sheik Gummi? Or is it the sultan that insists that they be given amnesty? You muslims know how to speak tongue in cheek. D last I heard of drive by killings in Kano they were 13 christians plus the other four killed on Sunday not to mention the headmaster of a school in komboso LGA in Kano who is most probably a christian. A wise man once said ask not what your country will do for you but what you can do for your country what are muslims doing for Nigeria? Leave GEJ to eat or drink 1 billion Naira food and drop cup. We know why muslims are disgruntled its becos they are sore losers go and ask Babangida Abacha and even your so called saint Buhari how much they used on food. Abeggi make I hear word muslims don't like boko haram indeed.Read the bolded parts of your post again & if they are truly a reflection of how you feel & they make sense to you, I need not bother engaging you any further. Have a nice day. |
goldylock: This are some trash that really annoy me. You guys quote your quran and yet do the opposite. Are you defending boko haram or what? It is Gej it is the millitary bla bla bla. How about standing up clearly to say it is boko haram and it is evil instead qouting things from the same quran they quote which one do we belive?. Actions they say speaks louder than words and boko boys seem to be doing all d action for islam in Nigeria.I suggest you read my post again, more carefully this time around so you'll realise i hate boko haram even more than you do. Now, y'all keep saying muslims don't condemn bokoharam, seriously, do you guys pretend not to hear or see news reports of muslim leaders condemning these killings? or do you immediately fall asleep when you hear of muslims killed by boko haram? Go and as, muslim clerics who condemned boko haram's ideology were among the first victims that were killed by the sect. And it has not stopped. You hear of drive by shootings almost weekly, go and ask how many of those people are xtians. Some of you just enjoy viewing everything from a tribal / religious lens, and unfortunately, hypocrisy is usually at the root of these things. In essence, you assume BH's actions are a representation of what muslims truly want? or muslims endorse it? you must be kidding me. I say go and ask those muslims in the north how they are faring before you come back to spew rubbish. Did Islam just get into the country in 2009? Why do we still have indigenous hausa xtians living in the north? why do we have muslims in western countries? You honestly think islam is about bloodshed and war? i won't attempt to educate you, however i respectfully implore you to apply your sense of reasoning and aso seek knowledge about certain things before making careless statements. And as regards GEJ, he is THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA which last time i checked includes the north. He wasnt voted there just to be flying multiple private jets and be eating 1 billion naira food for him to keep telling us he's on top of the situation. The buck, especially when it comes to national security, stops at his table. The problem is that nigerians are so used to getting little from their leaders that we don't even know the things we are supposed to demand from them. infact, we encourage them to be lazy and they happily oblige us. I am against boko haram just as any good muslim should be, and I feel the government needs to stop playing politics with this matter and tackle the issue headlong with a view to stopping the carnage as soon as possible whilst remembering that safety of the lives and properties of innocent nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion is their primary concern. |
chukel: XLE cums only in 6cyl. Dis ur ride as u said is an xle but the engine is 4cyl though it has an XLE body nd interior. I guess d engine was changed from 6 to 4cyl. Dis is just a bomb looking for a victim to buy it wit his hard earned moneySome XLEs come in 4 cylinder. I actually suspect this one was bought brand new in Nigeria. Most (if not all) of these camrys that were bought brand new at Elizade, Globe n co do not have XLE written on them, but have all the features of the XLE trim (i'm yet to confirm if they have up to 8 airbags tho.lol) and they are all 4 cylinder vvti. |
On point. Those of us here in the south or abroad can sit down, read newspapers and type epistles on nairaland largely spewing the half truths & propaganda we have read & its easy to almost call for the total anihilation of the region since many of us are still under the delusion that the north is solely responsible for the country's problems (forgetting that most of the roads and monuments we see around today -which we the 'southerners' are STRUGGLING to maintain- were built while these 'abokis' were in power). We forget that there are human beings like us resident in that north. Talk to those in the North. Then you will understand why boko haram is a national problem which is continuously being mishandled. I spoke recently with a southerner who is based in the north (a peaceful area tho, apparently) & he told me things . The part about wanton executions of innocent men, women & children by the millitary is VERY true according to him & they still go on till date & that is why the violence keeps increasing. A lot of these things are apparently kept quiet. These boko guys target anything. They are not concerned with your religion. Their motive is to spread destruction & render that place totally useless. Both muslims & xtians are living under seige from these guys, especially the muslims who also have to contend with the harrassment & sometimes summary execution by the security forces. Lots of innocent people are still locked up in prisons for no reason at all! The people cant move freely, no factories, few businesses, poverty everywhere. Let us reason: how can someone tell you that he's killing people because he wants them to accept islam?? By the time he kills all the xtians, shey na dead body go accept islam ![]() ?? I too support millitary action against these guys, but the millitary action must be precise & right on target or else as we've been seeing, the problem will keep getting bigger. You don't kill ordinary civillians on the road & come out to say you killed boko haram members. The boko guys will come and show you that you didn't kill them! You don't imprison innocent people and expect these same innocent people to risk their lives (boko boys will be after them) & come to tell you where the boko guys are. You do not say you are fighting for me & still be fighting against me. As rightly pointed out, boko haram will have lots of splinter groups that even the leader may have no control over. Eventually, some wil want to dialogue while some will still feel they are doing Allah a favour (which they are not or else xtians, budhists, jews e.t.c will have long since been wiped out). Allah himself has said in the Qur'an that if He had willed, he would have created us all to have the same religion but He intentionally didnt do so, so that we may strive among ourselves in good deeds & that he may test us based on what was revealed to us (Q5:48). Allah has also commanded that muslims are supposed to even DEFEND and PROTECT xtians in times of war! All these are contained in the same Quran where people misquote their deadly verses from. Let us leave religion aside tho & concentrate on the matter. The Government really needs to use the carrot and stick approach here. Dialogue should NOT be completely ruled out if we are indeed sincere about ending this problem. The security forces should be called to order & be told to exercise some level of restraint in their ''Shoot first, ask questions later'' approach because it is becoming counter-productive. Also i think it has become apparent that a lot of violence being perpetrated in the north may have nothing to do with BH. Even the BH guys i suspect will be up for highest bidder. Our country sent troops to mali, now how secure are our borders? What stops the Mali insurgents from coming into Nigeria? Does the FG even know if Abubakar Shekau is a Nigerian ![]() The BH sponsors GEJ said are in his govt, when is he going to unmask them? Btw, anyone still saying stuffs like Buhari is behind bokoharam is probably high on soak-away Poo (i hear some people in these war zones get high on it! No kidding), however, everybody can say his /her own, what matters is the truth. Whose responsibility is it to find the truth and reveal it? The Government. Talk about power, roads, food e.t.c., we can share that with the govt, but providing NATIONAL SECURITY? That's like the chief responbility & almost the EXCLUSIVE preserve of the GOVERNMENT. |
jackbauersballs: I went to primary school with this cat...and if he is now a pastor...then I should be the popeWhat pry school? He went to two. I went to the first with him...tho he was my senior. We were neighbours at Maryland estate then before they moved to another high end area around Maryland. Me, my bro, he n Tolu & another family's kids used to go to school in the same car, play in the evenings ....before they moved (the money had started rolling in very well then, tho they were obviously not poor before sha). Remember they had a red Passat (used to need pushing sometimes when we were goin to school.lol.) , a clean black 504 SRII & a very clean wine coloured regular benz..... This was early - mid 90s ![]() Back then, Tolu & Jimi used to knock on people's doors in the estate preaching to them (us)...with so much childish conviction & confidence.lol. Their folks had just started 'Adam & Eve' on TV. Very friendly folks, especially their late mum. ....enough reminiscing jare. Boys have now become men.....girls sef don upgrade ![]() Happy Married Life to the couple...looking soo much in love I hope they remain so forever. |

ogugua88: Yes, every choice. That is not a generalization. Or maybe you can give me an example of a move or action performed by any celebrity that was not met with criticism by the masses. Go check the Rita Dominic thread. She covered her chest. The only things exposed were her arms, face, and neck. People are beefing her because her microscopic nips were pointing from her dress and she's not married. 2 Face got married, not to a virgin, not to a stranger, but to Annie Macauley, one of the women who bore a child for him. People are still complaining. You should know by now that anyone will have anything to say about another human being. That's how the world works unfortunately. It is still a generalization or else these people won't have millions of fans who adore them. Yeah people will always talk wether you do the right thing or the wrong thing but that is not an excuse to do the wrong thing especially when you have some people looking up to and would have expected better from you. ogugua88: I didn't indict myself. Karen isn't a lesser being. She simply hasn't changed much from who she was in the UK. She isn't someone whom I'd call classy. Most of the time she's in the limelight for the wrong reasons. She's unclad to keep people talking about her. Her dress is ugly, in my opinion, because of the gross rumply bottom and the shoulders. She was trying to be sexy by flaunting her own bosoms but it's not appealing at all to me. Her dress is more like a costume. The rest of Genny's dress compensates for the modest skin she showed. So the rest of the dress had to "compensate" & yet you dont see the exposure as indecent? genevieve too has her own vices, hope you know that. & there's nothing remotely "modest" about the skin she showed. Pray tell, when would it have become immodest? if she had gone topless exposing the full bre.as.ts for us to see? or perhaps even that will be a "just a little immodest" right? Come on.ogugua88: The US has its own share of hypocrisy. I never said it didn't. I can go on all day about US hypocrisy and that of anywhere else in the world for that matter. We're not discussing the US though. We're discussing Nigeria and its selective morals.i wasnt even referring to the US only, afterall some other countries frown on polygamy but encourage gay rights, frown on women covering their hair yet applaud women showing off their b.oob.s e.t.c. My point is simply that EVERYWHERE is the land of hypocrisy, but we shouldnt allow that prevent us from condemning what is wrong or supporting what is right. This our indecent dressing argument will still carry on and on,& i hope one day, you'll see the light ![]() I still like you sha coz its obvious you are naturally decent, however we all need to differentiate between freedom of expression and damage to society. |
ogugua88: You. Lol.Missed you too. ![]() ogugua88: The truth is that this isn't indecent. Not in my opinion anyway. I made sure to say "negative influence" with quotations. By the way, what you said is not the truth. It's your opinion. To you, it is not indecent, i agree . To MOST Nigerians out there, hypocrites or not, including Denrele (who i consider quite weird btw) including Genny herself i suspect - since she had to go and change later- , it IS indecent.ogugua88: No, I will not show you anyone who hailed Halle Berry and criticized Genevieve Nnaji. I don't put people on blast. Let's not turn this discussion into a war.Lol. I put it to you that in all 6 pages of this thread so far, you won't find any such person no matter how hard you dig. Prove me wrong ![]() ogugua88: Sure what you're saying may not push us towards progress, but I fail to see how Genevieve Nnaji's dress is pushing us towards regression.Genevieve Nnaji's dress and similiar ones like that worn by people many Nigerians adore is contributing to our moral decadence. I consider that regression. In similiar vein, once upon a time, we had modest wedding gowns, proper gowns covering the areas the husband only ought to see, now we have gowns sewn in a way that the bre.a.sts will be threatening to spill out (i've actually heard of one wedding where the brea.sts actually spilled out on the dance floor). Tell me if that makes any sense or if these things are not sending negative messages to the society. ogugua88: You asked bad questions. As I'm Nigerian though, I'll answer your questions with questions.1) No its not, however note that i mentioned birthday DINNER, *supposedly taking place at Ogugua Hotels, Lekki with 45 guests expeted to be in attendance* 2) No she's not. However she's adored by lots of teenagers and young adults and in some way, its only natural that she could influences their lives and the choices they make (matter for another day). 3) Ok, lets assume your daughter is 20 and she's an actress, would you approve of her wearing this sort of gown to an event? This gown is meant for fully developed woman WHO HAVE NO SENSE OF SHAME / PRIDE. Simples ![]() |
Not exactly a fan of the G class but this is one BAHHHDDDDDD RIDE!!!!! |
zenatta: FRAGAINST, wow, you may have just populated the dictionary. Thanks for clarifying. For a moment, I thought she was eating her words. Thanks for letting me know she is against herself, for being for, what she should be against but is not against. Very clear I tell you.LOOOL. That was just my opinion o. it'll be best if she responds herself. [s]She's really intelligent and all but on top some kain issues, she dey disappoint me sha. But then, we no fit gree on every anyway.[/s] |
baron2000: Its a 2005 Honda Accord LXDEFINITELY not a factory tint. Have you tried to see if it can be removed? if you can't remove it, then it means the police too can't, abeg just claim its factory tint jor.lol |
Ishilove: My brother, that is why I hardly watch TV these days. We live in a se.xual generation and everywhere one looks, one finds s.ex staring at one in the face. Just because society doesn't frown on it does not make it right.Seriously, its sad. We are all not perfect and we can never be. but that should not stop us from condemning what is wrong. Everything is all about flesh and se.x and guns, se.xu.al & non-se.xu.al crimes are increasing, morals are deteriorating, those who dare to speak out and call for a change are told to mind their business that its a free world, forgetting that damage is being done to the society via these indecencies & it is every member of the society's responsibility to safeguard it. There will always be those who will refuse to conform, who will know what exactly their business that they should mind is and isn't & who will still be able to draw a distinct line between civilization and sheer stu.pidity. |
zenatta: Could someone please explain to me what @Ogugua88 is on about. Is she for Genevieve's scandalous dress or against it or for and against it or for, for or for, against for... I could go on.Lol. Like i said not too long ago on a thread dealing with a similiar issue, she's FRAGAINST ![]() I may be wrong but i think she's against it but she thinks she's not supposed to be against it since in her view there are more important things to be against apparently ![]() |
Ishilove: Nay, I disagree strongly. I don't give a flying fucck if it's Halle Berry, J-lo, Genevieve or Iya Basirat wearing these kind of clothes. The fact is this kind of dressing is very disgusting and very shameful.Correct jor. |
ogugua88: Don't lead an "immoral" life and then preach morality. The same way men brag of sleeping with numerous women and dreaming of a virgin wife in the romance section is how people oogle over perky, sexy westerners and then preach morals here.1st bolded, EVERY CHOICE they make? seriously? Do we have to go all generalizing now? Just coz we said what whe wore to an event was not decent? relax. 2nd bolded, you just indicted yourself going by the 1st bolded. Why is it a "shame" that Genny is with Karen? Is Karen some sort of lesser being coz she is / WAS a stripper? Oh, i guess being a stripper and dressing indecently are totally unrelated right? I'm not supporting karen but simply commenting based on what you've saying. Funny you mentioned the word "hypocrisy" in this same post. 3rd bolded, So where exactly isn't the land of hypocrisy? Is it the countries that support gay marriage but condemn polygamy? or the countries that claim to be fighting terror yet unleash terror on other countries?? |
ItsModella: LMAO!!! so much for the "we are Africans and we have a culture to respect"..That was before civillization. Orientation later changed. People eventually saw the need to cover their nud.i.t.y. God commands that we cover our nud.i.t..y. Common sense dictates that we cover our n.u.d.i.ty. So now are we to applaud Genevieve and co as they take us take us back to the era of uncivillization can you post pics of how your grandparents used to dress & tell me if it has any semblance to the one above |
ogugua88: Take a look again at her dress and tell me it's horrible. So because "teenage boys are molesting their junior sister to death and a woman is murdering her daughter in law", we should not condemn something else that is indecent?? believe it or not, indecent dressing has caused and will still cause a lot of harm to the society. You are entitled to your opinion tho, but that will never change the truth. & aspar your 1st post here, can you kindly show us someone who applauded a similiar dress on "Halle berry, Jennifer lopez" or some other western celebrity and is now here to condemn it on Genny? This attitude of "its his/her life, its not my business", "dont criticize this coz there are other worse things" e.t.c will not push us towards progress. We need to look out for the other person, support ourselves in good, caution ourselves when necessary and criticize ourselves when necessary. The Mind My Business attitude is not paying us at all coz collectively, we all make up the society. Ogugua, assuming you are a mother of a 15 year old and you were both present at the awards last night (you took your daughter along coz she's a huge fan of Genevieve), now your daughter sees thatdress and says to you "Mommy, can you please buy me that exact gown so i can wear it to my friend's birthday dinner next week?" What wil be your answer? Will you buy her the gown or not? |

I was not planning on engaging further dear just want to make clarifications cos someone might read ur trash and actually believe it.
genevieve too has her own vices, hope you know that. & there's nothing remotely "modest" about the skin she showed. Pray tell, when would it have become immodest? if she had gone topless exposing the full bre.as.ts for us to see? or perhaps even that will be a "just a little immodest" right? Come on.
. To MOST Nigerians out there, hypocrites or not, including Denrele (who i consider quite weird btw) including Genny herself i suspect - since she had to go and change later- , it IS indecent.
